In this paper EXCEL Visual Basic application spreadsheet has used in analyzing and designing truss elements. EXCEL spreadsheet was developed to draw and analyzes different type of truss elements for tension and compression forces. The truss members were tested under dead, imposed, and wind load. Members capacity was provided according to BS 5950. Different type of joints connection was designed and recommended for support and internal joints.

Background: Modular steel buildings (MSB) are extensively used in petrochemical plants and refineries. Limited guidelines are available in the industry for analysis and design of (MSB) subject to accidental vapor cloud explosions (VCEs). Objectives: The paper presents simplified engineering model for modular steel buildings (MSB) subject to accidental vapor cloud explosions (VCEs) that are extensively used in petrochemical plants and refineries. Method: A Single degree of freedom (SDOF) dynamic model is utilized to simulate the dynamic response of primary building components. Analytical expressions are then provided to compute the dynamic load factors (DLF) for critical building elements. Recommended foundation systems are also proposed to install the modular building with minimum cost. Results: Numerical results are presented to illustrate the dynamic response of (MSB) subject to blast loading. It is shown that (DLF)=1.6 is attained at (td/t)=0.4 for front wall (W1) with (td/T)=1.25. For side walls (DLF)=1.41 and is attained at (td/t)=0.6. Conclusions: The paper presented simplified tools for analysis and design of (MSB) subject accidental vapor cloud blast explosions (VCEs). The analytical expressions can be utilized by practitioners to compute the (MSB) response and identify the design parameters. They are simple to use compared to Finite Element Analysis.

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan mengetahui pengaruh media pembelajaran Visual Basic Application (VBA) for Microsoft Powerpoint dan Excel pada materi peluang terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa SMP. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 23 siswa kelas VIII salah satu SMP di Kota Cimahi Tahun Pelajaran 2018/2019. Pengambilan data diperoleh dengan metode tes untuk menentukan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yang kemudian dianalisis ketercapaian dan kesulitan siswa pada setiap indikator yang menjadi dasar pengembangan media pembelajaran. Media kemudian diujicobakan kembali dalam pembelajaran. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah adanya pengaruh media pembelajaran Visual Basic Application (VBA) for Microsoft Powerpoint dan Excel dalam meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran siswa pada materi peluang, dan media tersebut dapat membantu guru saat menggunakan pendekatan Open-Ended sehingga pembelajaran di kelas lebih efektif, serta menciptakan pembelajaran peluang menjadi interaktif dan menyenangkan.

Abstract: In the era of globalization, information systems are now increasingly developing and are very important and main things in helping the process of corporate performance, in the near future that will make competition in the performance process will be more updated and faster. Because of that the use of information technology and the design of making application programs using Visual Basic 6.0 as programing and MySQL as its database, regarding the analysis and design of information systems for inpatients in anal azimar maternity homes. Problems - problems faced by this company, namely the problem of data redundancy in inputting data, and not presented properly and lead to difficulties when manipulating, changing, and deleting data. In the end the author hopes that with the creation of a new information system, it can help the input process more easily, and quickly. Keywords: Technology, Information, PHP Programming Language , MySQL and Patient   Abstrak: Di era globalisasi sekarang semakin berkembang nya sistem informasi serta merupakan hal yang sangat penting dan utama dalam  membantu proses kinerja perusahaan, dalam waktu dekat yang akan membuat persaingan dalam proses kinerja akan semakin update dan cepat . Karena itu pemakaian teknologi informasi dan rancangan pembuatan program aplikasi dengan menggunakan  Visual Basic 6.0 sebagai programing  dan MySQL  sebagai Databasenya, mengenai analisa dan perancangan sistem informasi pasien rawat inap di rumah bersalin azimar anas. Masalah – masalah yang dihadapi perusahaan ini yaitu masalah redundansi data dalam menginput data,dan tidak tersaji secara baik dan  mengakibatkan kesulitan saat memanipulasi, mengubah, dan menghapus data. Artikel ini membahas tentang permasalahan distribusi logistik pemilihan kepala daerah (Pemilihan) yang berkaitan dengan penentuan jumlah kendaraan yang tepat dan pemilihan rute terdekat dengan mempertimbangkan jarak yang dapat dilalui oleh kendaraan roda 4 atau lebih. Penentuan jumlah kendaraan dan rute yang tepat ini sangat penting bagi Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) karena aspek logistik dan distribusi sangat berpengaruh dalam memastikan suara masyarakat tersampaikan dengan baik. Selain itu aspek ini memiliki keterkaitan satu dengan lainnya baik bersifat strategis maupun teknis. Selama pandemi, distribusi logistik Pemilihan tidak hanya berkaitan dengan kebutuhan alat pemungutan suara namun juga alat pelindung diri (APD) selama pelaksanaan pemungutan. Oleh karena itu kegiatan logistik menjadi lebih banyak dengan tetap mempertimbangkan protokol kesehatan sehingga diperlukan sebuah aplikasi yang dapat menentukan jumlah kendaraan dan rute yang tepat sebagai dasar untuk mempercepat pengambilan keputusan. Penelitian ini fokus pada penentuan jumlah kendaraan dan rute distribusi logistik yang optimal pada Pemilihan tahun 2020 di masa pandemic COVID-19 di KPU Kabupaten Kediri menggunakan pendekatan vehicle routing problem dengan memperhatikan jarak dari google maps serta menggunakan algoritma nearest neighbor dalam menentukan jarak terdekat antar titik. Aplikasi yang dikembangkan adalah penentuan rute menggunakan Visual Basic Application (VBA) pada Microsoft Excel. Penelitian ini menghasilkan jumlah kendaraan sebanyak 12 kendaraan untuk pengiriman logistik Pemilihan maupun APD dengan batas maksimal total perjalanan setiap truk sepanjang 100 km. Selain itu terdapat 6 kecamatan yang dikunjungi dua kali karena total kebutuhan melebihi kapasitas kendaraan.

Learning media in Mathematics by using Microsoft Excel software that assisted Visual Basic application is a tool that can be applied for a more interactive visualization so that students better understand about mathematical concepts. Microsoft Excel is a software that serves to process data in the form of numbers that are always associated with mathematical commands. In addition, the functions of commands in Microsoft Excel can be applied in various fields such as Statistics, Economics and Finance, Mathematical Logic, and Engineering. If using mathematical concepts with data processing. But it is not just a number, it can also be used to process objects on shapes or drawings on images. This, of course, requires a function other than the mathematical functions of Visual Basic Applications, which can make math tools more interesting. The advantages of Microsoft Excel with Visual Basic for Application (VBA) are (1) the images are more interactive with different sizes and can make more; (2) more economical; (3)saving time; (4)the software is easy to find, and (5)improving students 'understanding of mathematical concepts and foster students' sense of trust, especially in junior high school students.

Background:Beam models have been proven effective in the preliminary analysis and design of aerospace structures. Accurate cross sectional stiffness constants are however needed, especially when dealing with bending, torsion and bend-twist coupling deformations. Several models have been proposed in the literature, even recently, but a lack of precision may be found when dealing with a high level of anisotropy and different lay-ups.Objective:A simplified analytical model is proposed to evaluate bending and torsional stiffness of a prismatic, anisotropic, thin-walled box. The proposed model is an extension of the model proposed by Lemanski and Weaver for the evaluation of the bend-twist coupling constant.Methods:Bending and torsional stiffness are derived analytically by using physical reasoning and by applying bending and torsional stiffness mathematic definition. Unitary deformations have been applied when evaluation forces and moments arising on the cross section.Results:Good accuracy has been obtained for structures with different geometries and lay-ups. The model has been validated with respect to finite element analysis. Numerical results are commented upon and compared with other models presented in literature.Conclusion:For cross sections with a high level of anisotropy, the accuracy of the proposed formulation is within 2% for bending stiffness and 6% for torsional stiffness. The percentage of error is further reduced for more realistic geometries and lay-ups.The proposed formulation gives accurate results for different dimensions and length rations of horizontal and vertical walls.

The ocean environment necessitates the pile foundation supporting the offshore structures to be designed against cyclic load, moments and torques initiated by a combined action of waves, wind, tides, currents, etc. Such a complex loading condition induces progressive degradation in the pile-soil interactive performance introducing significant reduction in bearing capacity with increased settlement and displacements. The Author has carried out extensive experimental (laboratory model tests) and theoretical investigations (boundary element analysis) to study the salient features of this degradation and developed a design methodology for offshore pile foundation. The works conducted and the major conclusions drawn are highlighted in this paper.
