Purpose. Considers the possibility of establishing the Hospitality Philosophy as an independent field of philosophical knowledge. Theoretical basis. Theoretical basis for this issue is the numerous philosophical researches on the topic of hospitality (anthropological, phenomenological, ethical, social-philosophical etc.) and the analysis of its essence and paradigmatic antinomy in the historicalphilosophical way. Scientific novelty. The article attempts to revitalise the notion of philotechnics (φιλοτεχνία) as 'the art of taking care of the guest's welfare' as a possible basic concept of contemporary philosophy of hospitality, which is able to reflect its nature most concisely, including its utilitarian and extra-utilitarian functions – not only a high service level, but also a “humane” attitude towards the guest. Findings. It has been summarized that modern hospitality as a specific human activity needs its own philosophy, which would comprehensively analyze the concept, study the facets and forms of its manifestations, define the worldview paradigm, form a methodology and be able to lead to an understanding of the goals of hospitality, to orient modern hospitality models to achieve certain and clear quality indicators while respecting historically verified value constants.

Inventory management is one essential lever to use the resources efficiently. However, managing inventories in hospitals is a challenging task because of the several issues: a high service level of medical supplies is required under the unpredictable demand, medical products constitute a significant portion of the overall costs, and the management of these supplies requires considerable effort to check the levels to track usage and to distribute them. Therefore, it is pertinence to apply operations research tools to cope with the managerial issues of the hospital inventory system. In this chapter, the authors implement an (s, S) inventory model by using simulation in a case study of a hospital in Izmir, Turkey. They aim to analyze the unpredictable nature of demand of medical supplies in this hospital and its implications on the developed inventory policy.

The experiment was carried to study the fermentation regularity of different maturity, so as to provide theoretical basis for the effective storage of Lingwu long jujubes. The results showed that with the increase of maturity, the fermentation rate of fruits also increased, and the fermentation rate of eight, nine, ten mature fruits had significant differences, and the seven, eight mature were not. Based on the fermentation regularity and other quality indicators, the conclusion was that the storage of Lingwu long jujubes should be appropriate to eight mature jujube.

This study aims to analyze the optimization of haircut service time at the Takilish Barber Shop using a single channel - single phase queue model. Primary data from observations and interviews with the concerned visitors used in this study were processed using Microsoft Excel with a single phase single channel queue structure and model A (MM/1) of queuing model. The results showed that the service at Takilish Barber Shop is not yet optimal, including in terms of service time, because of the high service level of the server, which causing a lot of free time that is not used optimally.

Noise exposure is a basic concept used to assess the risk of noise induced hearing loss in the workplace. It is very important, since loud noise is omnipresent in almost all human activity, especially in industry, construction, mining and transportation. The question to answer is how to determine the risk of a person performing in an environment where the noise levels, duration and frequency content change with time. The answer is obtained by measuring his noise exposure. Although the measurement itself is not complex or difficult, a proper knowledge of what exactly is the noise exposure and how to deal with the measurement result in fundamental to avoid getting wrong conclusions.

Concepts are the basic units of the picture of the world, in which values are fixed, both of an individual linguistic personality and of a linguocultural society as a whole. The article discusses the ways of representation of the linguocultural concept ''Bison'' in the regional communicative space. The theoretical basis of this research was formed by works in the field of linguoculturological conceptology (V.I. Karasik, V.A. Maslova, N.F. Alefirenko, Yu.S. Stepanov), semiotics (N.B. Mechkovskaya). In the course of the research, a content analysis of poetic and prose works of Belarusian and Polish authors, cognitive-discursive modeling of the meanings of the concept in various semiotic contexts was carried out. The material for the study was the texts that make up the creative heritage of G. Kartsov, V. Kozlovich, N. Gusovsky, N. Kobrinchuk, V. Gorodey, V. Milos, V. Lindemann, H. Duda, B. Rusco (80 works in total). Using the method of content analysis makes it possible to identify and describe various ways of manifestation of the concept ''Bison'' in the communicative space. The article resulted in conclusions about the significant role of different semiotic systems (painting, sculpture, heraldry), as integral components of human activity, most fully revealing the value component of the concept. The use of the method of cognitive-discursive modelling on the basis of Belarusian and Polish contexts makes it possible to identify the national and cultural features of the concept's content.
