For the future life of young people their scientific education will allow them to live and act adequately in a society influenced by the ideas and values of science. Therefore, in the center of many educational systems an emphasis is placed on forming and developing scientific literacy in students. Inquiry-based approach in education is one of the important means for its formation and development as it puts the students in a situation where they carry out research activity, describe and analyze its results. In this article is presented an attempt to use inquiry-based approach in the study of chemical processes in Chemistry and environmental protection in the 10th. class. For its implementation a methodical model for application of scientific approach based on constructivist theories in education is developed. The results of a conducted experimental training for the determination of the expediency of the model are presented. A test is developed for establishing the training of students with an emphasis on scientific literacy. Testing results show that the developed methodical model creates good conditions for the development of scientific literacy.

Ecological environment detection and environmental protection technology becomes an important means to ensure the sustainable development of human beings. Under the premise of the common development of the world’s environmental protection, environmental protection is becoming more and more important. Under the background of the development of science and technology, human beings should also fundamentally solve the ecological environmental protection problem. At the same time, multi-domain ecological environment monitoring data will be used to improve the data processing technology capacity to meet the government’s multi-source control needs and improve the government’s scientific decision-making effect. Starting from the significance of applying ecological environment detection and environmental protection technology, this paper explores and defines the problems existing in the ecological environment detection and environmental protection technology, and puts forward corresponding optimization strategies in combination with big data technology for reference.

This research aims to analyse the determination of rugby game results, as a consequence of territorial dominance or ball possession, by the teams participating in the 2015 Rugby World Cup. The objectives of our scientific approach were to record the variables linked to possession and territorial dominance in the rugby games and to process and interpret the results. In this applicative research, 48 matches were analysed, tracking total territorial dominance and sequential territorial dominance in the last 10 minutes of the game, as well as total possession and sequential possession in the last 10 minutes of the game. The research methods used are: scientific documentation, observation, measurement, statistical and mathematical method, graphical method. The results obtained from data processing and interpretation are contradictory. Thus, we have results displayed accordingly, when the team with total and sequential territorial dominance and superior total and sequential possession wins the game, but also when the team with total and sequential territorial dominance and superior total and sequential possession loses the game. We have results when the team with total territorial dominance and superior total possession wins the game, which is normal, but also results when the team with territorial dominance only in the last 10 minutes and superior possession only in the last 10 minutes wins the game. We might consider that these results are not a first, that they represent the exception, but what the research emphasises are the proportions between the results considered normal and those contradictory, which may generate questions and answers about the competition strategy.

The article is devoted to the actual problem of independent construction by teachers of tasks for the formation and assessment of the formation of natural science literacy within the content of the school biology course. Natural science literacy is a component of functional literacy – the central concept of the modern approach to determining educational achievements in the world practice of research of educational systems of different countries. The purpose of the article is to present the results of the study of identifying problems and approaches to the design of tasks aimed at the formation of natural science literacy within the framework of the educational subject “biology”. For this purpose, the concepts of tasks for the formation and assessment of the formation of natural science literacy in the framework of the PISA study are considered, as well as strategies for constructing such tasks are developed. The paper provides an example of step-by-step implementation of the developed strategies, author’s tasks with detailed characteristics of the questions. Based on the results of the study, conclusions were formed that it is possible to distinguish a sequence of actions for designing tasks and the availability of these actions for teachers. The experience of designing tasks will have a positive impact on the efficiency of including tasks in the educational process.
