Рост численности населения земного шара, истощение природных ресурсов и связанная с этим нехватка продовольствия ставят вопрос о необходимости переработки производимых растительных отходов с целью защиты окружающей среды и получения альтернативных источников пищи. Использование целлюлозосодержащих пожнивных остатков для производства высших грибов является оптимальным решением указанных проблем. Высокая пищевая и лекарственная ценность высших грибов доказана многочисленными исследованиями. Однако процессы культивирования высших грибов сталкиваются с проблемой селективности субстрата, сдерживающей рост этой отрасли производства. К настоящему времени накапливаются данные о взаимодействии высших грибов и микроорганизмов, которое открывает возможности управляемого культивирования и направленного биосинтеза практически ценных метаболитов высших грибов. Статья посвящена различным аспектам воздействия микроорганизмов на процесс выращивания высших грибов. The growing population of the world, the depletion of natural resources and the associated food shortage raise the question of recycling the plant waste produced to protect the environment and obtain alternative food sources. The use of cellulose-containing crop residues for the production of mushrooms is the optimal solution to these problems. The high nutritional and medicinal value of mushrooms has been proven by numerous studies. However, the processes of cultivation of higher fungi are faced with the problem of substrate selectivity, which inhibits the growth of this industry. To date, data are accumulating on the interaction of higher fungi and microorganisms, which opens up possibilities for controlled cultivation and directed biosynthesis of practically valuable metabolites of higher fungi. The article is devoted to various aspects of the influence of microorganisms on the process of growing mushrooms.

Fisheries are of key importance in provision of protein, livelihood opportunities and income to islanders and coastal populations with few alternative food sources, including some of the world’s poorest people. The variety of reef fisheries for reef-associated invertebrates and vertebrates around the world is examined. Fishing methods used and particular issues with these fisheries are discussed. Exploitation of reef resources also occurs to supply luxury food markets and hobbies related to aquaria, and the international live reef fish trade is highlighted. The development of reef-based aquaculture is examined, and issues that need to be addressed to deliver sustainable expansion of this approach are discussed. In the face of increasing pressures on reef resources from a number of sources, resultant impacts on reef renewable resources and the reef ecosystem are detailed, and potential ways in which fisheries management may control these pressures are described.

AbstractSince December 2019, a novel coronavirus responsible for a severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS-CoV-2) is accountable for a major pandemic situation. The emergence of the B.1.1.7 strain, as a highly transmissible variant has accelerated the world-wide interest in tracking SARS-CoV-2 variants’ occurrence. Similarly, other extremely infectious variants, were described and further others are expected to be discovered due to the long period of time on which the pandemic situation is lasting. All described SARS-CoV-2 variants present several mutations within the gene encoding the Spike protein, involved in host receptor recognition and entry into the cell. Hence, instead of sequencing the whole viral genome for variants’ tracking, herein we propose to focus on the SPIKE region to increase the number of candidate samples to screen at once; an essential aspect to accelerate diagnostics, but also variants’ emergence/progression surveillance. This proof of concept study accomplishes both at once, population-scale diagnostics and variants' tracking. This strategy relies on (1) the use of the portable MinION DNA sequencer; (2) a DNA barcoding and a SPIKE gene-centered variant’s tracking, increasing the number of candidates per assay; and (3) a real-time diagnostics and variant’s tracking monitoring thanks to our software RETIVAD. This strategy represents an optimal solution for addressing the current needs on SARS-CoV-2 progression surveillance, notably due to its affordable implementation, allowing its implantation even in remote places over the world.

Background: Dengue virus infection is one of the important health problems in Indonesia, although the mortality rate has been decreased but many dengue shock syndrome cases is very difficult to be solving handled. To solve this problem, some factor that influence the prevalence of dengue virus infection should be studied. The Aim of Study: To detect some factor that maintain the higher case of dengue virus infection in patient at the Soerya Hospital Sepanjang, Sidoarjo. Material & Method: Study had been done at Soerya Hospital Sepanjang, Sidoarjo since January 1, 2007 until December 31, 2010. All cases suspected dengue virus infection in patient at soerya hospital were diagnosed based on WHO criteria in 1997 and PCR examination in ITD laboratory. The Result: In 2007, 2008, 2009, the monthly observation showed that decreasing cases of dengue virus infection in patient at Soerya Hospital had been found on September, but in 2010 this event had been found on November. Why this event to be change? It is suggested might be due to global warming in the world and the climate going to influence the environment sanitation. Interaction between agent host and environment becoming increase it might be due to the changing of climate can influence the growing population Aedes Aegyptie and Aedes Albopictus promoting to increase vector for transmit dengue virus infection. It is prominent in sub urban area, with have many peoples don’t aware with the bad environment sanitation. And many peoples showed very dynamic for living until the idea good environment do not be thought. By this condition the monthly population dengue virus infection in patient at hospital are going to maintain higher more than six months than usually. On the year 2007, 2008, 2009 the lowest cases found on September. In 2010, the lowest cases had been found on November. The Conclusion: Global warming, increasing sub urban area which have many peoples don’t aware with the bad environment sanitation and have highly dynamic peoples for getting some money for their life, could influence the higher cases dengue virus infection in patient at hospital more than 6 months.

Diabetes mellitus is becoming the fastest considerable disease in the world. India has been estimated with the fast- est-growing population of Diabetics. According to International Diabetic Federation (IDF), the total number of Diabetic subjects will be around 151 million in India by 2045. The clinical entity of Prameha can be correlated with Diabetes Mellitus. It is considered a Lifestyle disorder, the food, drinks and sedentary habits are having a great influence on this disorder. In Ayurveda classics elaborately mentioned the Nidana (causative factors) and Pathya ahara (wholesome food & drinks) and Apathya ahara (unwholesome food & drinks), Pathya Vihara (Conducive lifestyle) and Apathya Vihara (Non-Conducive lifestyle) of Prameha. The classification of Prameha as per Susruta Samhita as Apathya nimittaja Prameha and Beeja doshaja Prameha indicates the importance of Ahara and Vihara in prevention as well as management of this disease. In this article, a sincere attempt has been made to incorporate the principles of Ayurveda and Modern medical science with a scientific explanation regarding Pathya (Diet) and Vihara (lifestyle) in Prameha (Diabetes Mellitus). Grasses (Poaceae) are the monocotyledonous, herbaceous plants with cosmopolitan in distribution. In food chain and ecology, it plays an important role as a base resource. Maize is the well-known plant of tribe Maydeae of the family Poaceae which is used all over the world for food, fodder, beverages and primary source for production of milk and meat. Only few grasses are well-known for their medicinal value. Present study is an overview of Tribe Maydeae with special approach to endemic wild relatives and in context of future aspect in ethnomedicinal and pharmacological studies.

Melia dubia popularly known as Malabar Neem is a promising multipurpose tree highly suitable for farm forestry and agro forestry for generating higher income per unit area. Melia dubia is one of the fastest growing trees in the world and considered as a money spinning tree of short rotation due to its high demand in pulpwood, plywood and timber industries. It is a good fuel and fodder yielding tree. In addition to this, Melia dubia also has extensive medicinal, pharmacological, ethnomedicinal and conventional properties and uses. The current article reviews literature on importance of Melia dubia for timber industry and medicinal value.

AbstractIn much of the developing world, the high cost of purchased feeds makes meat and milk too expensive to be consumed by the producers' own families. A fish pond integrated with livestock or crop production provides an important source of animal protein for home consumption or sale. This protein involves almost no cash costs, since the needed nutrients and energy are supplied by crop residues, green manure, livestock manure and sunlight. Conversion of manure into animal flesh is possible because the anoxic sediments support a microbial flora similar to that of the rumen. Although integrated fish farming has been practiced for thousands of years in China, it has not yet been successfully adapted to all regions for which it potentially is applicable. A program in Wuxi, China brings together students and scientists from all over the world who are working towards that goal.

Agriculture is important for people all over the world in order to obtain food to sustain the ever-growing population. However, the current practices for obtaining more and more food has several environmental challenges. Hence, new environmentally friendly fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides have been developed that enhance crop yield by facilitating maximum nutrient uptake by the application of nanotechnology that will help in promoting sustainable agriculture by the slow or controlled release fertilizers. This slow discharge encourages improved delivery of nutrients to the plants that further speeds up early germination, fast growth, and high nutritional level. The current study is aimed to review nano-chemicals used in agriculture that have been developed by the researchers all over the world.
