Many Australian small molluscan taxa are often overlooked, falling by the wayside and therefore, and remaining relatively unknown to the wider collecting community. This paper redescribes and illustrates Retizafra intricata Hedley, 1912, a species that has not been illustrated within the literature for over a century. Many species are listed in databases, but they are often void of illustrative examples making positive identification problematic. Furthermore, this paper refines the syntypes and declares a lectotype to give greater taxonomic clarity. Within the discussion of this paper, the role of the citizen scientist is elucidated. Issues of how attitudinal change within some institutions can lead to the alienation of individuals, particularly those with life-long knowledge in their chosen field.

Since the mid 1980's to the present time there has been an unprecedented attitudinal change by governments, both at the federal and state levels, regardless of political persuasion, towards the role of the public sector. There has been a sustained policy to wind back the size of the Public Service across the board.

The process of constructing a national, ethnic or other group identity takes place over long periods of time and typically against a background of other comparable processes. This results in myths of origin and achievement, the denial of internal diversity, the sharpening of external distinctions and the development of negative comparative definitions. These hardened and definitive models of identity reduce group adaptiveness to change, stifle cultural and economic activity and create recurring opportunities for conflict. More sophisticated models which highlight, for example, settlement prior to the arrival of the current group defining itself as indigenous or aboriginal, the continuity of population movement over longer periods, the borrowing of cultural and technological developments from groups whose descendants are now perceived as a threat, may play an important part in countering the negative consequences of simplistic versions. Teacher education, especially in preparation for the education of 5–14-year-olds, who remain highly susceptible to attitudinal change, has a crucial role. This role extends beyond the more obvious areas of professional studies, religious, moral and values education to areas such as mathematics, language, the expressive arts and to history where there are significant opportunities to contribute to the development of sophisticated, positive and fluid models of group identity.

In recent years, the safety and efficacy of revision stapedectomy has come under scrutiny. Experienced surgeons report that the results of such surgery are often worse than the results after primary surgery and that the risks of sensorineural hearing loss, tinnitus, and vertigo are increased. With the addition of laser technology to revision stapes surgery, the procedure to open the neomembrane over the oval window and gain access to the inner ear can now be performed safely. This allows positive identification of the oval window and assures placement of the prosthesis through the fenestra rather than on an intermediate segment of scar or bone in the region of the footplate. Our studies have shown the laser to be an important tool that enhances the safety and efficacy of revision stapedectomy.

Women reproductive health plays a vital role to maintain their position in society. The practices to ensure the women reproductive health encapsulates many factors that range from religious to socio-economic. The study was conducted in Safdarabad, central Punjab Pakistan by using IDI of thirty married women of reproductive age through purposive sampling. The findings reflect poor knowledge of reproductive health among married women that deprives them of exercising control over their bodies. The study also highlights the significant role of in-laws especially, mother-in-law and husband in the decisions related to women reproductive health. Moreover, the role of religious beliefs has been found a dominating factor in matters pertaining to fertility control and family planning. In order to protect women from the plight of unwanted pregnancies and clandestine abortions, their understanding of fundamental health rights must be increased by bringing positive attitudinal change through socio-cultural norms and beliefs.

ABSTRACT This study examined the media for effective education towards attitudinal change during COVID-19 outbreak in Lagos, Nigeria. This study was anchored on agenda setting and social marketing theories to understand the potential role of the media for health communication interventions. The survey research method was used, while the online questionnaire served as the data instrument. The results showed that almost half of the study sample indicated that they had read sufficient number of newspaper reports on COVID-19 in Nigeria, while more than 30 percent of the respondents had occasionally read newspaper reports on COVID-19 in Nigeria. It was recommended that television and social media platforms should be used to tailor messages that can demonstrate the nature and dangers of viral disease such as COVID-19 so as to influence positive priority behaviours.

The dialogic method constitutes the soul of General Studies at ITAM. How is it developed in practice? This paper starts from the distinction between an instruction and a true university education that focuses on the formation of critical thinking through questioning and dialogue. Afterwards, it analyzes the role of questioning in the training of students and wants to show how it constitutes the center of dialogue, as well as of motivation in learning and teaching. Finally, an attempt will be made to explain how the question also constitutes a central element in the students’ attitudinal change and their true moral transformation.

The role of the forensic laboratory in law enforcement is briefly discussed. Not only is it necessary to identify the major constituent of an exhibit, but in many cases valuable intelligence is gained by identifying whatever else is present. This includes other drugs, excipieuts, metals, etc. Therefore, identification of an extremely wide range of chemicals is required. The use of NMR and mass spectral data in the positive identification of such substances is invaluable. Specific examples of these data in identification are discussed.

Each of 20 female Ss participated in a role-playing session with one of two Es. S acted the role of a lung cancer patient and E the role of her physician. These 20 Ss displayed significantly greater changes in smoking habits and attitudes toward cigarette smoking than a comparable group of 10 control Ss . Ss who role-played with E of high status, a physician, showed significantly greater attitudinal change than Ss who role-played with E of a less status. No significant difference appeared, however, between these two groups in their change of habits.
