In today’s society, information technology transforms the way people do business and activities. Such phenomenon eliminates the previous jobs and creates a new job title. In this regards, professional writers offer new jobs in this digital age. Books and papers are substituted with new platforms because of industrial changes. Web portals, paperless media, tablets, smartphones and other gadgets were created to spread information. However, these have become tools and media for authors in the 21st century. User generated content platform is the most promising tunnel for technopreneur writer. A lot of features can be used to write and asses the author’s materials. For example, analytic dashboard or perception content analysis are powerful tools to asses the effectiveness of author’s work. There are certain strategies for technopreneur authors to be considered to gain benefits from user generated content platform. Those factors are: characteristics for content, audience assessment, effectiveness of materials and profitable contents. In a nutshell, this paper exposes news tunnels; the most promising way that writers can express their talents in digital age as technopreneurs.

The development of technology, information technology and various means of communication have a significant impact on public relations activity; especially in government institutions. Many government institutions have invested these means in their management system, in order to facilitate the goals of the institution, and ultimately the interaction between the internal and external public. In this theoretical research, I tried to explain the impact of the new media on public relations in the public administration, based on the views of specialists. The aim of the research is to know the use of the new media of public relations and how in the system of public administration, as well as, Explaining the role it plays in public relations activities of government institutions. Add to this, analyzing the way of how new media and public relations participate in the birth of e-government. In the results, it is clear that the new media has facilitated public relations between the public and other institutions, as it strengthened relations between them

The current media environment is complex and has important effects on all aspects of life, including beauty and health. In this sense, YouTube has become one of the main contexts for the dissemination of tutorials and content related to medical procedures such as the application of Botox. Thus, the present study constitutes the first exploratory analysis of YouTube videos in Spanish related to this procedure. A preliminary analysis of 221 YouTube videos yielded a final sample of the 50 most viewed videos within this genre. The analysis was carried out through a quantitative content analysis assessing the popularity of the videos, contact and emotive strategies by the creator, the credibility conveyed, and the characteristics of information about the procedure itself. Results suggest that these influencers align with mainstream Internet celebrity culture in practices that aim at increasing their following and views, as well as calls for subscriptions and visits to other platforms and profiles. Moreover, they include different strategies to establish their credibility but emphasize personal experience. The positive portrayal of the procedure, including positive emotions and content that highlights the benefits, is interesting and supports the commercial nature of much of the content.

Youth are coming of age in a digital era and learning and exercising citizenship in fundamentally different ways compared to previous generations. Around the globe, a monumental generational rupture is taking place that is being facilitated—not driven in some inevitable and teleological process—by new media and communication technologies. The bulk of research and theorizing on generations in the digital age has come out of North America and Europe; but to fully understand the rise of an active generation requires a more inclusive global lens, one that reaches to societies where high proportions of educated youth live under conditions of political repression and economic exclusion. The Middle East and North Africa (MENA), characterized by authoritarian regimes, surging youth populations, and escalating rates of both youth connectivity and unemployment, provides an ideal vantage point to understand generations and power in the digital age. Building toward this larger perspective, this article probes how Egyptian youth have been learning citizenship, forming a generational consciousness, and actively engaging in politics in the digital age. Author Linda Herrera asks how members of this generation who have been able to trigger revolt might collectively shape the kind of sustained democratic societies to which they aspire. This inquiry is informed theoretically by the sociology of generations and methodologically by biographical research with Egyptian youth.

This article examines whether participatory media such as Flickr, with its seemingly unfettered tools for mapping citizen-created photographs, offers a means for a more comprehensive representation of minorities in a non-Western country. Assessment of geotags – markers designating longitude and latitude on an online map – associated with photographs of Thailand’s Muslims suggests that by replicating common stereotypes, user-generated content may be limiting rather than opening up discourses about minorities and that citizen participation via new media tools is more constrained and less free than commonly believed.

Abstract: This study discussed the themes of multimedia proselytising on Facebook used by Makassar's preachers as well as the usage of various forms of multimedia to convey messages to audiences (mad'u) through the Facebook social network. This research was a qualitative study using a content analysis approach. The results of the study stated that the themes conveyed by the preachers were aqidah (faith), sharia (Islamic law), akhlak (manner) morals, mu'amalah (dealings between people), and general messages, such as education, behaviour, and defending the country. While the forms of multimedia proselytising used by da'i (Islamic preachers) were the textual message, images, audio, and video. In addition, da'i needed to improve the quality of material and media da'wa by using information technology through internet media in order to get effective communication (da'wah).

The previous period of United States presidential elections of 1996 has redirected the relevant scientific research to investigate the correlation online communication - political sphere. Consequently were formulated various paradigms and the most discussed was the democratic paradigm, according to which the representation serve as a basic principle of modern democracy. The study of the level of influence of new communication technologies on political sphere became, for a number of scientific investigations carried out in USA, Canada and later in some European countries such as France, Italy, the UK (in 2000 and since 2007 in Romania), an important objective of empirical research. In most cases, the first stage of the investigation of online political communication has been marked by some methodological problems such as: the changeable nature of web space, the necessity to elaborate new indicators able to represent basic aspects of studied reality, the temporal validity of the data. The elaboration of A Model of Cyber –Interactivity by Sally J. McMillan has contributed to overcome these difficulties and has demonstrated the effectiveness of content analysis as research method used for the study of Web Space dynamic reality. Later, the research team from the University of Rochester (Paul Ferber, Frantz Foltz, Rudy Pugliese) have perfected the two-way interactivity model (elaborated by Sally J. McMillan) and have it completed with three-dimensional model of interactivity for the purpose of quantitative investigation of political websites and to argue that these forms of new media correspond to the ideals of cyberdemocracy.

'The right to know' represents a fundamental and vital human right. Progress and development of nations fully require information freedom and knowledge sharing. Using a qualitative analysis of a sample of information and press laws in most of Arab states, this paper aims at discussing 'the right to know' from different perspectives while highlighting the surrounding aspects and their consequences on the right of freedom of expression in those states. The paper also tends to clarify the effects of new media on the vision and practices of governments regarding 'the right to know' and the freedom of the press in the digital age. Moreover, the paper analyzes the different types of censorship the Arab states use to control the new media. Findings shed light on different aspect of 'the right to know' within the different challenges of the digital age and clarify the strong bondage of this right with the other human rights, especially freedom of expression and freedom of the press.

Information and communication technology has opened up both challenges and opportunities for the process of communication. This is particularly true for communicating effectively and efficiently in the digital age, where unique problems of creation and distortion, especially misinformation and bias, can arise. In addition, the broad diffusion of a communication medium eventually prompts both the public and private sectors to establish mechanisms to regulate that medium under the rubric of the public interest. Sometimes this can happen through self-censorship on the part of the industry, while other times it requires the institution of governmental law and regulation. The emergence of the Internet as a mass communication system has raised questions about how this medium can function to benefit society, as well as concerns about its potential harm. Focusing on the nexus of the process of communication and the limitations and prospects of information technology, this panel explores some of the major concerns of the digital age from a legal and policy perspective. The topics to be covered through interactive discussion include: anonymous speech and cybersmearing; the nature of publication and misinformation; and Internet content filtering, freedom of speech, and intellectual property

Los medios digitales han sustituido progresivamente al papel como soporte de comunicación. Han hecho necesaria la existencia de dispositivos mecánicos para la lectura del los documentos que antes eran directamente manipulados por el lector. En el papel la disposición gráfica de textos e imágenes dependía de cada libro. La elección del tamaño, del formato y del color se hacía en función de la estructura de la obra. Sin embargo, en la era digital, la disposición gráfica depende del dispositivo que pone a disposición del lector los documentos. A pesar de sus ventajas evidentes para reordenar la información, han incorporado procedimientos interactivos de los medios impresos que guardaban relación con la habilidad del lector para mirar, leer y comprender la composición. Este trabajo analiza la pervivencia de los modelos gráficos de la interacción impresa en estos nuevos soportes.Digital media has gradually replaced paper as a medium of communication. These new media have need the existence of mechanical devices for reading documents that until now were directly manipulated by the reader. In printed paper graphical layout of text and images depended on each book. The choice of size, color and proportion was a consequence of the structure of the work. However, in digital age, graphic layout depends on the device that makes available documents to the reader. Despite its obvious advantages to reorder the information, have incorporated interactive procedures from print media that were relevant to the reader's ability to see, read and understand the whole layout. This paper analyzes the survival of graphical interaction models in these new media
