Grammar is a description of certain organizing aspects of a written particular language. One of the grammar topic is question tag. Question tag is a mini question which we often put at the end of a sentence. The purpose of this study is to describe the ability of the eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Lintong Nihuta in using question tag. This study is a qualitative study with descriptive research. The population of this study is the eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Lintong Nihuta in Academic Year 2020/2021. The sample is 50 students. The instrument for collecting data is a test concerning question tag which consist of 20 multiple choice and 10 for completion form. The test is done in order to know the ability of students in using question tag. Based on result of the data analysis, the percentage of the student’s ability is devided three parts high category, moderate category and low category. The result shows that 2 students (4%) belong to high score category, 40 students (80%) to moderate category, and 8 students (16%) to low category. The mean score is 83.56, it is 84% of the total students who can do the test well with 42 students who got score above 72. This study aims to determine whether the E-learning method can be effective in optimizing students' reading comprehension of descriptive text with WhatsApp Application. This research was conducted in class X MIA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Buko in the academic year of 2020/2021. This study used one group-pretest-postest design of research with the data analysis were the frequency distribution of scores, mean and standard deviation. The questions from the pretest and posttest used the type of multiple choice questions with questions about the descriptive text. From this result, it was found that the mean of posttest Y = 7.8 with standard deviation Sy = 0.79 was higher than mean score at pretest X = 5.33 with standard deviation Sx = 0.89. It means that students' reading comprehension in descriptive text was higher after treatment at posttest than pretest. So the researcher concluded that the application of the E-learning method through WhatsApp application was effective in optimizing students' reading comprehension of descriptive text.

This study aims to describe the increased understanding of the dangers of bullying through classical guidance to class VIII.A students of SMPN 22 Mataram in the 2020/2021 academic year. This research is a classroom action research. The subjects in this study were 32 students. The instrument used in this research is a questionnaire. While the data analysis technique to test the difference in the mean of the pretest and posttest after the action was carried out was using the t-test. The results showed that after being given classical guidance services, the understanding of the dangers of bullying was in the very high category with a total frequency of 23 which was 71, 875%. In the very high category it has reached more than half the number of students. In the high category with a total frequency of 6 of 18, 75 %, in the medium category the number of frequency 3 of 9, 375%, in the low category the number of 0 is 0%, the category is very low with a total frequency of 0 of 0%. Thus, it can be concluded that classical guidance is an effective and innovative strategy to increase the understanding of class VIIIA students of SMPN 22 Mataram regarding the understanding of the dangers of bullying.

The purpose of this research is to describe the ability of the eleventh-grade students of SMA Deli Murni Bandar Baru on using Countable and Uncountable Nouns. The population of this research was the eleventh-grade students, with 58 students taken as sample. The instrument of collecting data is a test concerning Countable and Uncountable Nouns. The tryout test was done to know the validity, reliability, item difficulty of test items. The result showed that 5 students (15 %) belong to the high category, 24 students (73 %) to the moderate category, and 4 students (12 %) to the low category. The mean score was 61,39 it was only 24 % of the total students who can do the test well with 12 students who get a score above 75, it means that the eleventh-grade students of SMA Deli Murni Bandar Baru are not yet able to use Countable and Uncountable Nouns. Based on the total incorrect answers made by the students in using countable and uncountable was 502. The percentage of students’ mistakes made by students in uncountable multiple choice including indefinite and quantifier uncountable was 33 %, in countable multiple choice including singular, regular, irregular countable 34%, in the countable essay including regular and irregular countable was 33%. Based on the findings and conclusions, some suggestions are offered to English teachers, English students, and other researchers. Especially to English teachers, who teach in school, are advised to improve students' ability to use countable and uncountable nouns.

Researchers conduct research with the aim of determining the quality of goods in terms of analysis: 1) reliability, 2) content and empirical validity, 3) distinguishing features, 4) difficulty levels, and 5) differentiating functions. This research is descriptive research. Based on the results of data analysis, the results for review aspects: 1) reliability including high category, 2) empirical validity 52.5% valid and 47.5% invalid, 3) level of difficulty, 1 question (2.5%) category very easy , 11 questions (27.5%) medium category and 28 questions (70%) categorized as difficult, 4) Distinguishing power, obtained with different power values, namely 24 questions (60%) including good categories and 16 questions (40%) which not included in the good category, 5) the fraudulent option that does not meet the requirements is 7.5% and the one who meets the requirements is 92.5%. It can be concluded that the first semester midterm of Grade VII science subjects in SMP Negeri 34 Padang in the 2018/2019 academic year did not meet the criteria.

The purposes of this study were (1) to generate a design and implement the result of the design for the development of e-modul assisted CAI media on the subject of photography for tenth grade of Desain Komunikasi Visual at SMK Negeri 1 Sukasada, (2) to know the responses of the teacher and students toward development of e-modul assisted CAI media on the subject of photography for tenth grade of Desain Komunikasi Visual at SMK Negeri 1 Sukasada. The learning model that used in the development of electronic modul was project based learning. The type of research used in this study was the Research and Development (R&D) using ADDIE development model. The subjects of this study were tenth grade students of Desain Komunikasi Visual at SMK Negeri 1 Sukasada in academic year 2016/2017. In order to know the response of the teacher and students of e-module photography, questionnaire was used to obtain the data. The results showed that: (1) The design and implementation of e-module assisted CAI media which have been developed on the photography course for tenth grade of Desain Komunikasi Visual at SMK Negeri 1 Sukasada was successfully applied by some of the tests conducted. (2) The results of the data analysis showed that the mean score obtained from teacher’s responses was 47, if it converted into a table of classification response; it was classified as the category of very positive. Meanwhile, the mean score obtained from the students' response of the development of e-module, was 67,79, if it converted into a table of classification response, student responses classified as category of very positive.Keywords: E-Module, Photography, Project Based Learning

The aim of this study to analyze students' English speaking skills in conducting taking orders procedure in restaurants.  This study is conducted in order to overcome the problems encountered by the students in speaking activities in taking orders. To measure the ability of students in speaking English in taking orders, the researchers observed the procedures that the students did not perform and measure the students’ competence of English language. Samples of this study are the fourth semester students in Hospitality courses Diploma Degree of Mataram Tourism Institute in Academic Year 2018/2019. The results of this study indicated that the level of completeness of the procedure in taking student orders in STP Mataram is in average. More than 50% students have conducted the appropriate procedure when taking orders in using English. From the result of data analysis in measuring the students’ competence in speaking English, the mean score is 78.90 with standard deviation is 12.14. From the result, it is converted and get score 3.1. The score showed that the ability of English students from 40 students in STP Mataram classified as Good Criteria.

The current study aims to describe the effectiveness of CTL approach (REACT) to improve students' self confidence in mathematics. It is a classroom action research (PTK). The subjects of the study were students of grade VIII MTs Nurul Ihsan Sukarara in the academic year 2017/2018 consisting of 29 students. Data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The findings show that students' confidence in mathematics in the first cycle reached 10.3% for high category, 55.2% for moderate, and 34.5% for low category. Meanwhile, in the second cycle students' self-confidence score on mathematics reached 6.9% for very high category, 72.41% for high category, and 20.69% for moderate. This study indicates that there is an increase of students' self confidence in mathematics due to CTL approach (REACT).

This research is intended to describe students ability in wiring poetry by using a picture of their idols in class VII A SMP Negeri Satu Atap Petaling Academic Year 2016/2017. This research uses quantitative descriptive method. The data is taken from students poetry in decribing their idols. This researh uses quantitative analysis. The data analysis is counted by using the percentage of students assessment in writing poetry. The data of the research is 25 students. Based on students result in writing poetry by describing their idols at class VII A SMPN Satu Atap Petaling Academic Year 2016/2017, it can be seen that there are 3 students who got 87,5 who fall into good category; there is 1 student who got 81,25 tat falls into very good category; there are 9 students who got 75 that fall into good category; there are 6 students who got 68,75 hat fall into good categroy; and there are 6 students who got 62,5 that fall into fair category. From those 25 students, the total score is 289 with the total score is 1806,5, and the mean is 72,25 that falls into good category. Hus, students ability in writing poetry in decribing their idols at class students of VII A SMP Negeri Satu Atap Petaling Academic Year 2016/2017 fall into good category.Key Words : ability, writing poetry, picturing idols.

Indonesian students still find it perplexing to acquire English pronunciation as both Bahasa as their mother tongue and English do not share equivalent phonological and phonetic systems. Meanwhile, Arabic (in this case is their Hijaiyah sounds) is proven to share some phonological resemblance to some English sounds. Therefore, it is the aim of the study to investigate the student perception of the implementation of Hjaiyah sounds in their English pronunciation class. The study employed a descriptive research design as the approach. The participants of the study were 36 students of the English Study Program in the academic year of 2019/2020. These participants were third-semester students undertaking their Intermediate Speaking class. Questionnaire and interview guide were utilized as data instruments. In collecting the data, some procedures including distributing the questionnaire and conducting the interview were carried out. In data analysis, the data from the survey were transformed into a percentage to obtain a more general image of the data description. The data from the interview were also transcribed. Finally, the findings were examined and discussed using both narrative and numerical description. As a result, this study has confirmed that the implementation of Hijaiyah sounds in teaching English pronunciation is perceived positively by the students. HIGHLIGHTS: Indonesian students still find it perplexing to acquire English pronunciation as both Bahasa as their mother tongue and English do not share equivalent phonological and phonetic systems.
