The purpose of this study is to examine the overall level of job satisfaction of the academicians who work for business colleges operating in Kuwait and to identify whether demographics affect the level of job satisfaction.During the period between December 2016 and March 2017, a short-form Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ) was distributed to 240 academicians working for eight Kuwaiti business colleges including: Arab Open University (AOU), American University of Kuwait (AUK), Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST), Australian College of Kuwait (ACK), Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET), Box Hill College (BHC), Kuwait University (KU) and the American University in Middle East (AUME). A total of 141questionnaires were returned; resulting in 59% usable response rate.The study showed that academicians in business colleges operating in Kuwait are relatively job satisfied and their characteristics impact the level of their satisfaction. However, the most significant characteristics that affect the level of their job satisfaction were income, nationality and gender.The outcome of this study can be used by policy makers to develop recruitment and promotion policies. This would assist in achieving high levels of job satisfaction and will have positive effect on the academic process and the higher education system at large. This is the first study that used MSQ to explore job satisfaction among academicians who work for eight business colleges in Kuwait. The outcome of the study is expected to help decision makers in enhancing the level of the academicians' job satisfaction.

The research aims to investigate the relationship between organizational Health and Job satisfaction beside and examine how a job satisfaction is affected by the state of health in an organization.The population includes (80) employees who work in different areas of Baghdad Mayoralty. Questionnaire form was used to collect a required data from sample of research. This questionnaire consists of three parts, First part concern with individual data while the second used to measure the level of health in a survey organization depending on (Karaguzel, 2012) characteristics' that involve (21) statements and the last part measured the degree of Job satisfaction based on (Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire-short form) which contain (20) phrases. The questionnaire upon distributed to respondents was translated to Arabic language. So, Acronbach's test using SPSS program for social science to determine the reliability of this instrument that it indicated to the respective value. As well as the statistical results were confirmed the research hypothesizes that refer to strong and significantly as such influence between organizational health and job satisfaction.

The aim of the present research was to study the effect of job satisfaction on the performance of employees working in private sector organizations of Peshawar, Pakistan. For that purpose, one hundred and eighty employees (N = 180) were selected as a sample from private organizations of Peshawar. An equal number of employees, i.e., (n = 60), were selected through random sampling method from three types of organizations, viz., hospitals, banks, and universities. A Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ-short form) developed by Weiss et al. (1967) and a self-constructed Performance Evaluation Form (PRF) were used as instruments for the study. Initially, the reliability statistics of both the instruments was calculated to know the significance of the scales. According to the findings of the study, the type of occupation has been shown significant correlation with job satisfaction. Similarly, the positive relationship of job satisfaction with performance of employees was also confirmed. Therefore, it is concluded from the study that satisfied employees were better in performance as compared to dissatisfied employees, thus contributing significant role in the uplifting of their organizations. As there are unstable economic and political conditions of Peshawar, it is therefore necessary for every organization to make their employees motivated and satisfied towards high performance by adopting different techniques and methods.

"The purpose of this quantitative study is to determine if a predictive model can be created to identify job satisfaction among Missouri secondary assistant principals using the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ). A one-shot, non-experimental survey (Creswell, 2009) was created using Google forms and distributed to secondary assistant principals using the MSQ short form questionnaire. The MSQ identifies 20 categories related to job satisfaction and scores the respondent based on his/her answers. The MSQ and summary statistics will be used to identify which factors have the highest impact on assistant principal job satisfaction. Summary statistics will include assistant principal job satisfaction, years in assistant principal position, years teaching, size of building, salary, age, gender, education level, MSIP5 percent of points earned, and responsibilities. These ten data points will be analyzed in conjunction with the 20 MSQ categories using the Statistical Packages for the Social Sciences V22.0 (SPSS). A backward stepwise regression analysis will be utilized in order to predict assistant principal job satisfaction."--Page 6-7

Service rules make it easier for an institution to pursue higher education. In order to ensure quality education, it is essential that educational institutions have service rules. The service rules of university employment are considered to be conducive to the higher education system. On this article discusses the importance of service rules. Each step of the service rules is shown with the help of diagrams and each of the steps is discussed separately. To certify higher education has played a noteworthy part in Bangladesh. The rules clearly specify the rights and duties of workers and employers where every institution must have its own service rules regulating any employment but cannot be contradictory to any establishment of the labor laws. Job satisfaction is considered as a vital determinant of job activities. Some of the universities are providing quality education but rests of them are not quality concerned, most of them are depending on Daily basis teachers, poor infrastructures, without service rules etc. The trial was taken on a random basis from four private universities in Bangladesh. The sample size is forty-five. The result of this study shows that about job satisfaction level of employees in the selected universities. In the end, based on results, researchers have offered some suggestions that can be taken into thought in strategy level.

Introduction Pharmacists and pharmaceutical care services are among the most important tools in providing health services to the society. Pharmacists as the key players in presenting health services, critically impact on the health of the society and if they suffer low job satisfaction, their dissatisfaction may relatively threaten health in the society. This study was conducted to determine Sudanese community pharmacists’ job satisfaction and additionally, some causes of dissatisfaction among community pharmacists and their impact on providing pharmaceutical care services have been evaluated. Method The questionnaire was designed after reviewing relevant Literature in addition, The Job Satisfaction survey was used to measure the level of community pharmacists’ satisfaction with their current jobs, and the Toronto Alexithymia Scale (TAS-20) was used to evaluate emotional experience and awareness. Results and Discussion Generally low scores of job satisfaction were concluded among pharmacists while most of them were highly satisfied with being pharmacist. Conclusion Low levels of job satisfaction which were found among Sudanese community pharmacists could be considered as a deficiency of health system in Sudan. Fortunately, inherent interest in the pharmacy profession found among Sudanese pharmacists is an optimistic point at which policy-makers could develop their modifying policies. Health policy-makers must endeavor to take other steps to issue solutions for this current problem.

This study investigated the factor structure of the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire when used by individuals with psychiatric disabilities who are participating in vocational rehabilitation. The sample consisted of 87 respondents recruited from Columbus, Ohio, in 1996 who worked in noncompetitive employment. Factor analyses with varimax rotation conducted on the short-form of the questionnaire indicated three factors, an intrinsic factor and an extrinsic factor (as proposed by the Herzberg two-factor theory) as well as another pertaining to satisfaction derived from participating in vocational rehabilitation.

Purpose – The aim of this paper was to focus on China’s economic integration with Asia region and the world. It also attempts to find the long-run relation with short-run dynamics of China’s trade in Asia and the world. Design/methodology/approach – The augmented Dickey–Fuller and Phillips–Perron methods are applied to test the time-series properties of the variables. Co-integration technique is used to detect the economic integration of China’s export to the USA and its import from Asian nations using monthly aggregate data from December 2005 to July 2010. Findings – This study observed that empirically China’s export to the USA depends on exchange rate and China’s import from Asia depends on China’s export to the USA. China has double role in international trade – China acts as an attractor of all inputs from Asia, and China exports the final products in international market. This study also reveals that the speed of China’s import from Asia is faster than that of China’s export to the USA. Research limitations/implications – This study has some limitation in terms of data availability, and choice of methodology like the Gravity model Practical implications – The results imply that China’s trade should be treated as an engine of growth in the Asian developing countries and the trade promotion policies should be encouraged. The emerging China will create other opportunities through trade integration with Asia and the world. Social implications – These empirical findings will help policy-makers formulate their policy and design the mechanism for application as per their targets. Originality/value – China is economically integrated with the region and the world. The paper contributes to measure the speed of China’s export and import in short run within Asia and the world. These empirical findings will help policy-makers to formulate their policy and design the mechanism for application as per their targets.

Job satisfaction (JS) of employees has been studied in the past by various researchers beginning in the 1930s till date. Each of these research works went on to add a perspective to JS and its measurement. The measures of JS captured various dimensions from Minnesota satisfaction questionnaire to JS survey. Further, these measures have been standardized on working professionals in various domains except the emerging field of information technology (IT). The purpose of this study was to develop and adapt a scale measuring JS of IT employees in India. The facets of JS were identified through literature and verified through experts in IT domain. The initial scale consisting of 23 items identified from the existing scales was administered on 410 employees of three IT companies in India. The scale was standardized through exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). It was used to determine the factor structure and convergent and discriminant validity. Exploratory factor analysis yielded six factors: pay, training, promotion, recognition, supervision and job security. A final standardized questionnaire consists of 23 items on JS. The reliability estimates were 0.92, and convergent and discriminant validity also met all the criteria respectively. The resultant scale can be used on IT professionals in India.

Questionnaires were completed by 91 respondents employed by two human services agencies: 63 employees of a stable (no layoffs in eight years) organization, and 28 employees of a nonstable organization (which had experienced recent layoffs, and in which many employees were supported by grant funding which varied from year to year). The questionnaire included respondents' perceptions of job security and satisfaction with pay (measured with subscales of the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire), over-all job satisfaction (measured with the Porter Need Satisfaction Questionnaire), and additional measures of intention to turnover, absenteeism, productivity, etc. A 2 (agency) × 2 (high/low security) multivariate analysis of variance indicated that ratings of job insecurity were significantly related to job dissatisfaction in the agency perceived as nonstable but not in the agency perceived as stable. In both agencies, ratings of turnover intentions and pessimism about the future of the agency were higher among employees who reported feelings of insecurity. There were no differences in perceived absenteeism or productivity between employees of the two agencies.
