The purpose of present study is to examine the effects of external motivational factors on employees. Current study is employed Herzberg’s two-factor theory to investigate the effects of extrinsic factors on employees’ performance.in food and textile industries of Sindh, Pakistan. Seven point Likert scale is used for survey purpose. Reliability test is conducted for knowing the internal consistency of extrinsic factors as independent variables and employees’ performance as dependent variable. Pearson correlation, Analysis Of Variance (ANOVA), t test and multiple regression techniques are employed for data analysis.The results found that all extrinsic factors have positive and significant effects on employees. This study provides good amount of knowledge on the importance of extrinsic factors for improving the employees’ performance.

This article determines the impact of lecturers' competencies on students' performance at a private university college in Malaysia. A quantitative approach is used to collect and analyse the data by using descriptive analysis, Pearson correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. Respondents are from different academic programs to respond the questionnaires on lecturers' competencies and their academic performance. There are ten independent variables which have been identified to be tested with the dependent variable. The findings revealed that there is a positive relationship between lecturers' competencies and student performance.

Scholars in scientific disciplines face unique challenges in the creation of visualizations, especially in publications that require insights derived from analyses to be visually displayed. The literature on visualizations describes different techniques and best practices for the creation of graphs. However, these techniques have not been used to evaluate the impact of visualizations in academic publications. In the field of ecology, as in other scientific fields, graphs are an essential part of journal articles. Little is known about the connections between the kind of data presented and domain in which the researchers conducted their study that together produces the visual graphics. This study focused on articles published in the Journal of Ecology between 1996 and 2016 to explore possible connections between data type, domain, and visualization type. Specifically, this study asked three questions: How many of the graphics published between 1996 and 2016 follow a particular set of recommendations for best practices? What can Pearson correlations reveal about the relationships between type of data, domain of study, and visual displays? Can the findings be examined through an inter-reliability test lens? Out of the 20,080 visualizations assessed, 54% included unnecessary graphical elements in the early part of the study (1996–2010). The most common type of data was univariate (35%) and it was often displayed using line graphs. Twenty-one percent of the articles in the period studied could be categorized under the domain type “single species.” Pearson correlation analysis showed that data type and domain type was positively correlated ( r = 0.08; p ≤ 0.05). Cohen’s kappa for the reliability test was 0.86, suggesting good agreement between the two categories. This study provides evidence that data type and domain types are equally important in determining the type of visualizations found in scientific journals.

The purpose of this research was to analyze the impact of Non-monetary rewards on employee job performance in private banking sector of Hyderabad Pakistan. The study focused on factors such as recognition, career development, flexible working schedule (independent variables) and employee performance (dependent variable). The relationship between dependent and independent variables are empirically verified through statistical methods. The statistical tests like reliability test and multiple regression statistics were used for data analysis. Primary method was adopted for the collection of data in the form of questionnaire. Total respondents were 50 that were physically contacted. In reliability test all variables (03 independent and one dependent variable) were found reliable with good and excellent remarks. The value of Beta indicated positive relationship with dependent variable i.e. employee performance. In multiple regression analysis, independent variables recognition, career development and flexible working schedule were found insignificant.

Purpose and problem of the study: This study to identify the level of impact of zakat distribution and the level of religious practice among the mualaf (convert) in Selangor. The aim is also to analyse the relationship between the level of impact of zakat distribution and the level of religious practice of mualaf in Selangor. The problem of the study is issues which related to the granting of zakat rights to Muslims and its impact on strengthening the faith of these groups and their appreciation of Islamic teachings. Methodology: This study applies quantitative methodology which involves 454 Muslim converts as respondents and they were randomly selected to get the data of this study. Main Findings: The descriptive analysis findings demonstrate that the level of impact of zakat distribution and the level of religious practice of mualaf in Selangor is at high level, where each has a mean value (4.20 and 4.63). The result of the Pearson correlation analysis proves that there is a significant relationship between the impact of the distribution (r = 0.643, p < 0.01) and religious practice (r = 0.677, p < 0.01).       Applications of this study: This study involves respondents from the mualaf group in Selangor. Selangor has chosen to be the area of study as the total number of muallaf registered in this state is greater than those in other states in Malaysia. Novelty/Originality of this study: The implementation of zakat distribution based on the principals and concepts dictated by Islamic law will give a great impact to the group of mualaf (convert).

Purpose – This article aims to investigate perceptions of Turkish nurses on the impact of accreditation on quality of care and the effect of accreditation on quality results. Design/methodology/approach – This study was performed as a cross-sectional, questionnaire-based survey on 258 nurses who started working in the hospital before it was accredited and continued to work during and after accrediation and who therefore knew both the hospital's pre-accrediation and post-accreditation periods. In this study, descriptive statistical analyses (means and standard deviations) were carried out to explore the views of the participants on “quality results,” “benefits of accreditation” and “participation of employees.” “Quality results” was considered to be the dependent variable, while “benefits of accreditation” and “participation of employees” were accepted as the independent variables. The relationship between the dependent variable and the independent variables was tested using Pearson correlation and multiple regression analysis. External patient satisfaction data collected by the quality department of the hospital before and after accreditation were also investigated. Findings – It was found that nurses had generally high scores for the items concerning the benefits of accreditation. There was a statistically significant positive correlation between the dependent variable (quality results) and the independent variables (benefits of accreditation and participation of employees). Regression analysis indicated that R2=0.461 and the extent to which the independent variables explained the dependent variable was 46.1 per cent, which is a high rate. Patient satisfaction scores increased after accreditation. Practical implications – Our study suggest that providing support for nurses, especially nurses with administrative responsibilities and incorporating employees into the process are important for exercising quality standards. Originality/value – Hospital accreditation has a positive impact on quality results especially on quality of care provided to patients and patient satisfaction. Study findings could guide policy makers and hospital managers in Turkey and in other countries who are preparing or implementing accreditation.

As the pandemic of Covid 19 has directly affected the business industry, the business model has changed, including the logistics industry, especially the courier company. Courier company has benefited the most during this pandemic situation as the e-commerce business flourished. Enhanced service by courier company is crucial as stiff competition in the industry. Therefore, this study explores the impact of customer service, insurance, and luggage delivery on logistics customer satisfaction. A quantitative method was employed to analyse the effects of enhanced services of customer services, insurance, and luggage delivery towards logistics customer satisfaction, where 384 responses were collected from respondents identified as active users of courier services for the last 12 months. IBM SPSS was used to analyse the response collected using descriptive, reliability and Pearson Correlation analysis. Purpose: The aim of this study is to identify the relationship between professional and universal ethics of engineers. Methodology:This study used quantitative methods to distribute the questionnaire by using random sampling to get data from 248 respondents of engineers from government and private sectors in Melaka. Respondents were required to valuate agreement to statement about work ethics that used a five-point Likert scale. Meanwhile, the scales used for measuring correlation were given as 0.000-0.2000 “negligible”, 0.201-0.400 “low”, 0.401-0.600, “moderate”, 0.601-0.800 “high”, and 0.801-1.000 “very high”. The Pearson correlation analysis was used to obtain these correlation results. In this research, we analysed the data collected using SPSS Ver.22 to identify the relationship between professional and universal ethics of engineers in Melaka. Main Findings:The findings showed that all variables of professional of engineers correlated significantly with universal ethics. The significant level (p-value) was found to be less than 0.05, the study findings indicate a significant relationship between independent variables and dependent variable. Results obtained in this study confirmed that there were significant positive relationships between all variables that could influence professional and universal ethics. Implications:This study contributes towards the improvement of Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM’S) existing policy. Based on the study’s findings, the policy implication of this study includes: responsible bodies such as the governing institutions of engineers need to ensure that ethical practices are made as the main core in their profession by increasing knowledge and awareness about ethical practices in the engineering profession. Originality:This study only focus on the relationship between professional and universal ethics of engineers and the results will be useful towards the improvement of Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM’S) existing policy.

The goal of this study is to investigate the moral disengagement and aggression levels of fight sport athletes according to several independent variables and reveal the relationship among them. The study group consisted of totally 207 fight sport athletes, 88 females and 119 males with age  = 21,99 ± 4,92 and year of sport  = 6,14 ± 5,42. “The Scale of Moral Disengagement in Sport” and “The Questionnaire of Buss-Perry Aggression” were used as data collection tools. Descriptive statistics, t test, ANOVA and Pearson Correlation analysis were used in the analysis of data. While the mean of physical aggression of athletes was found as the highest, verbal aggression had the lowest mean value within the sub-dimensions of aggression, and they stated that they somewhat disagreed with the moral disengagement. It was found that there was a moderate positive significant correlation between moral disengagement and sub-dimensions of anger, hostility, physical and verbal aggressions of aggression scale. Significant difference was observed in the dimension of moral disengagement in accordance with age and year of sport. Physical and verbal aggression scores of males are significantly higher according to gender. The aggression and moral disengagement scores of kickboxers are significantly higher than those of taekwondo athletes in line with the branch. To conclude, it was determined that fight sport athletes did not approve moral disengagement in sport, however, the case of moral disengagement of athletes, who were younger and started the sport recently, was higher and they mostly showed the behaviour of aggression physically.

The article summarizes the main arguments and counterarguments within the scientific discussion on motivation and its impact on work efficiency. The main goal of the research is to analyze the impact of motivation on work efficiency for both employees and employers during the COVID-19 pandemic. A systematization of the literary sources on motivation indicates that there are different factors of motivation. Some people are motivated by intrinsic factors, while others by extrinsic. Also, the discussion of some recent studies revealed the influence of pandemic on the motivation of people to work remotely. The majority wants to work from the office as face-to-face contacts and collaboration derives innovation. Analysis in the paper for Armenia is carried out in the following logical sequence: a survey is done, which reveals how employees and employers evaluate the impact of motivation on their work efficiency, which factors of motivation they value, also their suggestions for improving the motivation policy in their workplaces. Methodological tools of the research methods were analysis and synthesis, survey, Pearson Chi square testing. The study reveals that people mainly appreciate both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation factors. From the material incentives which are more important for respondents, the most popular are salaries, rewards and health insurance, and from nonmaterials – career advancement, healthy moral and psychological atmosphere of the organization, flexible work schedule, fair and equal conditions, training courses. According to employees, the organization’s motivation policy affects their work efficiency and plays an essential role in the organization’s success. This fact is also proved by the statistical testing, that the relationship between these two factors is significant. The main reasons why employees leave the job may be the low salary, conflicts in the team, and the impossibility of career advancement. According to employers, employees are most interested in material incentives. The survey also reveals that people are most motivated when they are in the workplace, and for only 12% of respondents remotely working is motivating. It shows that in Armenia, people prefer to work from the office. The results have both theoretical and practical significance. It may be useful for organizations to improve motivation policy by changing the available problems, especially after the pandemic. This study investigates the impact of service management on guest satisfaction in the hotel industry in five medium hotels in Abeokuta, Southwest Nigeria. A sample size of 154 was selected for the study, in which 102 usable responses were analyzed in inferential statistics for means and standard deviation. Pearson correlation, Analysis of Variance, and Ordinary List Squares were compared to measure relationships between variables through the formulated hypotheses for the study. Findings revealed a significant relationship between sufficient service management and guest satisfaction, while the relationship between guest goodwill and service management in the study area is not statistically significant. The study recommends the essentiality for the employer to provide adequate motivation to enhance workforce dedication to facilitate guest satisfaction.
