<p>The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that affect advertising effectiveness and to investigate the effects of these factors on advertising success. Using a sample of 252 customers the study identified seven factors that affect brand advertising success and effectiveness, namely, advertising message and creativity, advertising media selection, market research, competitiveness, market share, uniqueness, and customer relationship. Path analysis and structural equation modelling (SEM) were used in order to test the proposed conceptual model of the study. The results revealed that advertising media selection has the strongest relationship with brand advertising success and effectiveness and can be considered as the most important factor affecting advertising effectiveness. The second and the third most important factors affecting advertising success were found to be advertising message/creativity and customer relationship. The results also indicated that although competitiveness impacts brand advertising success and effectiveness it is the least important factor among the seven factors identified in this study. Establishing appropriate relationships with customers and other stakeholders in order to understand their needs and demands is an important step toward improving the chances of brand advertising success and effectiveness. These relationships will also help the organizations to design their promotional campaigns according to the characteristics of their target customers which will contribute to the cumulative effectiveness of their brand advertisements.</p>

The objective of this article is to bring together geographic, marketing and economic perspectives to examine how far infrastructure development can offset adverse national geographies in aiding economic development and involvement in the global economy. We use LISREL structural equation modelling to investigate relationships between geography, infrastructure, economic development and country’s involvement in trade and foreign direct investment. Results identify key geographic factors affecting global market involvement and key infrastructures (electricity production, telephone lines and container facilities at ports) facilitating economic development and international participation.

The research attempted to examine resource factors affecting the development of MICE at Dalat, by determining the stakeholders, and by interviewing 350 resources (means from the supply side). The methods of Cronbach’s Alpha, Exploratory Factor Anaalysis (EFA), Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) together the Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) were used by the programs of SPSS and AMOS.The result shows that MICE development is affected by MICE destination resources, then MICE destination resources is affected by 3 main factors, arranged by the importance decreasing: (1) Organization resources; (2) MICE tourist resources; (3) Supplier resources. From that, the research raises some solutions for management and policy makers to develop MICE better.

The rapidly changing business environment in India, particularly after demonetization, has made marketers understand the complex behaviour of consumers. Online retailers in India do not want to miss any opportunity to serve customers in a better way and enhance customer convenience. Since the Indian market is very dynamic, it is very important to understand the different factors affecting customer purchase decision; among these different factors, customer payment options are an important factor. Although online retailers offer several modes of payment, demonetization has changed the entire equation.  This paper studies the measure of e-COD payment convenience scale, its validity, reliability and how it affects customer loyalty.  Research methods like confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modelling have been applied with the help of SPSS and AMOS.

This research examines factors which are mentioned in various literatures to have influence on desire to buy environmental friendly products. The factors are perceived attributes, personal characteristics and external factors. In this study the factors are put into a model which follows through awareness, interest and desire to buy and was also further analyze. Analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modelling. This research found that external factor have influenced the desire to buy environmental friendly product. This factor is much more important than that of personal characteristic and perceived attributes.

One of the critical factors responsible for the successful management of construction projects is individual factors. These factors play a significant role in the decision-makers' attitudes towards risks management. Many previous studies regarding the management of construction projects have focusedon the factors contributing to the success of risk management. However, little attention has been given to factors severely affecting the decision-makers' risk attitudes with particular reference to an individual's risk factors in the construction industry. Therefore, this study aims to identify the factors affecting contractors' risk attitudes and then determine its relationship with government policy. Theoriesof planned behaviour and organisational control wereused to develop the theoretical framework that investigated G-7 contractors in the Kuantan Pahang, Malaysian construction industry. A review of relevant literature and questionnaire was employedto identify the factors affecting contractors' risk attitudes (personal factors). 112copies of a structured questionnaire were analysed with a response rate of 80%. Structural Equation Modelling SEM was utilised to test the hypotheses developed for the study. The results of this study, through SEM,proved that personal factors (working experience, professional competence and physical health) have a significant influence on contractor risk attitudes in the Malaysian construction industry. The findings of this research also confirm that government policy (rules and regulations) plays a moderating role in enhancing the relationship of personal factors affecting contractors’ risk attitudes in construction companies in Malaysia. The findings of the study provide more understanding of the personal factors that affect contractors' risk attitudes to facilitate contractors' decision-making process and serve as a useful reference for further studies in the field of construction project management.

Customer relationship management is important for any service industry as a satisfied customer is likely to remain loyal, spread publicity thereby ensuring profits to the organizations. Healthcare is an important and fast-growing service industry in which patient is the customer and maintaining good relationship with them is highly profitable. Good customer relationship comes from an understanding of patients’ expectations and what factors lead to patient satisfaction. WHO in its report in 2000 introduced the Concept-Responsiveness, which deals with ‘meeting the universal, legitimate expectations of the patients. This study identifies factors related to patients’ expectations, satisfaction and hence good customer relations in Indian health system. Structural equation modelling was used to measure the influence of the factors suggested. The results show significant influence of patient’s expectations on customer relationship.

Abstract Background: The mother’s diet during pregnancy is associated with maternal and child health. However, there are few studies with moderation analysis on maternal dietary patterns and infant birth weight. We aim to analyse the association between dietary patterns during pregnancy and birth weight. Methods: A cohort study was performed with pregnant women in Bahia, Brazil. A food frequency questionnaire was used to evaluate dietary intake. Birth weight was measured by a prenatal service team. Statistical analyses were performed using factor analysis with a principal component extraction technique and structural equation modelling. Results: Four patterns of dietary consumption were identified for each trimester of the pregnancy evaluated. Adherence to the "Meat, Eggs, Fried Snacks and Processed foods” dietary pattern (pattern 1) and the "Sugars and Sweets" dietary pattern (pattern 4) in the third trimester directly reduced birth weight, by 98.42 g (Confidence interval (CI) 95%: 24.26, 172.59) and 92,03g (CI 95%: 39.88, 165.30), respectively. Insufficient dietary consumption in the third trimester increases maternal complications during pregnancy, indirectly reducing birth weight by 145 g (CI 95%: -21.39, -211.45). Conclusion: Inadequate dietary intake in the third trimester appears to have negative results on birth weight, directly and indirectly.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine the factors that affect paddy farmers’ environmental citizenship behaviour (ECB) in the context of agrochemical purchase. To achieve this objective, a theoretical framework has been developed based on value-belief-norm (VBN) theory. Design/methodology/approach Data were obtained from 251 farmers using a survey method. Partial lease square structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) was used to examine the hypothetical model. Findings The results of PLS analysis confirm the direct and mediating effect of the causal sequences of the variables in the VBN model. Originality/value Given the limited number of studies in a non-western context, this study examines and confirms the applicability of the VBN theory in predicting ECB in a Malaysian context.
