<p class="apa">The Academic Knowledge Management Model of Small Schools in Thailand was created by research and development. The quantitative and qualitative data were collected via the following steps: a participatory workshop meeting, the formation of a team according to knowledge base, field study, brainstorming, group discussion, activities carried out according to knowledge, summarizing and revising the operation, organizing an exhibition to show the work results, and the creation of a website. The results showed that the subjects had knowledge of how to manage knowledge, became more academically capable, and were satisfied with knowledge management at the highest level.</p>

The aim of this research is to gain the perception of students and lecturers toward academic writing instruction Indonesian language classes in Universitas Sriwijaya. This current research was a part of research and development study on Moodle-based teaching model for academic writing instruction in Indonesian language classes. The steps of research and development model was carried out using survey and content analysis. The research was conducted in Universitas Sriwijaya. Questionnaire, interview and focus-group discussion (FGD) were instruments to collect data. Meanwhile, both quantitative and qualitative data analysis was used to analyze the collected data. After analyzing data from questionnaire, both students and lecturers perceived that academic writing instruction in Indonesian language classes are good and proper. However, the data from interview and FGD showed that there were different views between students and lecturers regarding to academic writing instruction in Indonesian language classes.Keywords: perception, instruction, academic writing

Knowledge Management (KM) is an approach to understand how the known processes are on created, used and shared to enhance academic productivity. This study aims to determine the system of implementation of KM in Islamic higher education, having the work unit status of non-tax state revenue (Penerimaan Negara Bukan Pajak/PNBP) and public service agency (Badan Layanan Umum/BLU) and applying remuneration. This study utilizes a qualitative method with the phenomenological approach. Data collection take through observation, in-depth interviews, document analysis, and focus group discussions. The implementation of KM is with the result of academic knowledge from research products and research schemes of educational staffs, saving knowledge storage on the database through electronic and printed forms, and the knowledge taking a distribution on through printed and electronic forms which are referencing lecture notes and oral sources such as scientific consortium and lecturing. The successful implementation of KM requires supported from stakeholder policies in educational institutions. The research findings present an overview of the implementation design of KM that can be used as a platform by scholars and stakeholders in educational institutions to increase knowledge productivity. Keywords: Knowledge Management, Production, Storage, Distribution Abstrak Pengelolaan pengetahuan merupakan pendekatan untuk memahami bagaimana proses pengetahuan diciptakan, digunakan, dan dibagikan untuk meningkatkan produktifitas akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sistem implementasi manjemen pengetahuan di Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam yang berstatus satuan kerja PNBP dan BLU yang baru menerapkan remunerasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologis. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, analisis dokumentasi dan focused group discussion. Penelitian ini menujukkan bahwa implementasi manajemen pengetahuan meliputi: Pertama, produksi pengetahuan bersumber pada hasil penelitian tenaga pendidikan dan tenaga kependidikan dengan berbagai skema penelitian. Kedua, penyimpanan pengetahuan dalam bentuk cetak dan elektronik. Ketiga, distribusi pengetahuan melalui cetak, elektronik, referensi perkuliahan dan lisan seperti konsorsium keilmuan dan perkuliahan. Implementasi manajemen pengetahuan akan terwujud apabila didukung oleh kebijakan pemangku jabatan di lembaga pendidikan. Temuan penelitian memberikan gambaran tentang desain implementasi manajemen pengetahuan sehingga dapat dijadikan pijakan oleh para pelaku pengetahuan serta para pemangku kebijakan di lembaga pendidikan dalam rangka peningkatkan produktifitas pengetahuan. This study is conducted on the basis of researcher’s observation that students are lack of interest of study in learning Arabic grammar, namely Nahwu-Shorof basic learning. Students have good basic on English ability. The objective of this study is to find out the feasibility of designing ‘’NahShorNa’’ bilingual media for Nahwu-Shorof basic learning for students. This study involved 12 students. The subjects of this study are second grade students of An-Nashriyah Islamic Boarding School. This study used qualitative data and used Research and Development (R&D) Research Design. The instruments of this study used observation, interview, questionnaire and documentation. The study focused on reading ability. The findings of the study that are the result of media validation is 88% score in very good category, the result of two materials validation  is interesting categories, English material is 75% score in pretty good category, the Arabic material is 73,75 % score in pretty good category and  the result of user validation in preliminary field study is ‘’Good’’ response

Purpose of the study: This study intended to analysis the implementation and development of productive waqf in Malang, Indonesia. In addition, it addressed to understand the operational management of productive waqf Islamic hospital in Malang. Methodology: The research applied a qualitative method in order to comprehensively understand the existing phenomenon. The qualitative data analysis model used in this research followed the process of data reduction, display data, and verification by Miles & Huberman (1984). Purposively, the sample of the research was in an Islamic hospital in Malang considering various relevant reasons. The data were collected through focus group discussion between stakeholders including waqf recipient (Mauquf’Alaih), waqf management (Nazhir) and researches. Main Findings: The findings showed that the implementation of productive waqf has shown favorable outcomes in attaining local community’s needs that lead to the economic welfare of communities. The management model of productive a waqf is divided into a certain considered portion for business development, Mauquf’Alaih, and Nazhir. Applications of this study: In its development, productive waqf management should consider potential factors such as human resources and community awareness. Novelty/Originality of this study: The research provides insight into the nature of the productive waqf model as an attempt to enhance economic welfare.

This study examines the influence of knowledge management (KM) practices on public service delivery by municipalities in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. The study sought to determine the factors that have triggered the implementation of KM practices; the effectiveness of KM practices towards public service delivery; and the extent to which KM practices have influenced public service delivery by municipalities in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. Both quantitative and qualitative methods were employed in this study. Quantitative data were collected through a survey questionnaire administered to a sample of 202 employees at the Raymond Mhlaba Municipality in the Eastern Cape. Qualitative data were collected through observations and interviews of 2 senior managers. The data collected gave a response rate of 72 per cent. The quantitative and qualitative data were analysed descriptively and presented verbatim respectively. The results indicated that the internal and external factors included in this study have contributed to the implementation of KM practices in the municipality. Furthermore, the effective use of KM practices has increased the organisational KM initiative, as well as the provision of services such as electricity, education, transport, and social services by the municipality. The study recommends the establishment of KM awareness and the establishment of an integrated system that will assist in effective knowledge sharing, retention and acquisition across municipalities in the Eastern Cape.

Customer Knowledge Management (CKM) has become buzzword in modern knowledge driven society. As an innovative concept the study has attempted to find out the level of orientation of CKM practices in telecommunication sector in a developing country like Bangladesh through data and methodology triangulation approach. In the first phase of the study, quantitative technique has been used where data has been collected from 42 employees from major telecommunication companies such as Grameen Phone (GP), Banglalink, Robi, Airtel and Teletalk. In order to find out the details explanation of the quantitative results, an extensive open-ended survey has been conducted on experienced mid-level employees. In the last phase of the study, a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) was conducted on selected knowledgeable educated customers to cross check the results derived from the corporate people in order to ensure the reliability of the study.
