This study aimed at analyzing three different turnovers of current asset elements: the inventory turnover, the cash turnover, and the receivable turnover on profitability. Data is taken in the form of financial statements from the public companies of the telecommunication sector during four quarters of 2020. The panel data is processed from 9 companies or 36 observations using the Eview9 application and produced the fixed effect model as the best regression. The results indicate that the cash turnover has a significantly positive effect on profitability, whereas the inventory turnover and the receivable turnover have not significantly any effect on profitability. Therefore, the study concluded that the cash turnover was the one of current assets turnover that effected on the profitability of the public company telecommunication sector in Indonesia. It implied to the public companies of telecommunication sectors to choose the appropriate turnover model to achieve the maximum profitability during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The objective of this paper is to examine a model to identify Social Engineer Attack Phases to improve the security countermeasures by Social-Engineer Involvement. A questionnaire was developed and distributed to a sample of 243 respondents who were actively engaged in 3 Jordanian telecommunication companies. All hypotheses were tested using (PLS-SEM). The results of the study indicate that Social Engineer Attack Phases (Identification the potential target, Target Recognition, Decision approach, and Execution) have a partially mediate and significant impact on improving the security countermeasures by Social-Engineer Involvement. On the other hand, the Social Engineer Attack Phases (Information Aggregations, Analysis and Interpretation, Armament, and Influencing) have a fully mediate and significant impact on improving the security countermeasures by Social-Engineer Involvement. The findings of this study help to provide deep insight to help security professionals prepare better and implement the right and appropriate countermeasures, whether technical or soft measures.

This study investigated the motivators knowledge workers employ when sharing knowledge though enterprise social media (ESM) in a telecommunications context. A questionnaire was distributed among knowledge workers in one of the leading telecommunication companies in the Sultanate of Oman. Based on the Structural Equation Modelling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) analysis of 100 responses from knowledge workers, results showed that technological motivators had significant effects on knowledge workers’ knowledge sharing through ESM. Further analysis based on the knowledge type indicated that technological motivators and organizational motivators significantly impact knowledge workers’ tacit knowledge sharing, whereas only technological motivators impact knowledge workers’ explicit knowledge sharing. This study provides decision makers with useful insights on the motivators of sharing knowledge through ESM and further advances knowledge workers’ learning and business operations, especially in under-investigated countries.

Recently, the number of private telecommunication companies is increasing in the West African region. These private companies could be key actors in financing climate actions in their operating countries. Yet, the contribution of private telecommunication companies in financing climate actions in West African countries is not well documented. Accordingly, this study aims to examine the contributions of private telecommunication companies in financing climate actions in the Niger Republic. This study is based on secondary data collected through a systematic review. The literature search was conducted through Web of Science, Google Scholar, and the blog pages of the websites of the key private telecommunication companies operating in the Niger Republic. The findings of the study showed that several climate actions were executed by the key private telecommunication companies operating in the Niger Republic. These included both climate adaptation and mitigation strategies that targeted to combat desertification, fight against youth unemployment, alleviate poverty, reduce population illiteracy, and reduce the exposure of the vulnerable groups to food insecurity. Consequently, an implementation of a comprehensive public-private strategy between the government and the private telecommunication actors to finance climate actions could significantly reinforce the effort of the country to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Purpose The importance of smartphones in enhancing students learning, research and development is well-established in many published studies. Nevertheless, due to numerous challenges, Nigerian students are yet to reap from the benefits of smartphones in terms of accessing vital information for learning and development. Therefore, this study aims to develop a framework that will enhance Nigerian students’ ability to use smartphones for learning. Design/methodology/approach The SERVQUAL Theory Framework is adapted to actualize the research aim. Moreover, a qualitative (in-depth interview) research approach was used to interview 60 students from 3 public universities in Nigeria. Purposive sampling technique was used to select the interviewees, and the interview data were analysed using thematic content analysis. Findings The findings identified the critical constraints that deter Nigerian students from reaping the full potential of smartphones for learning. The constraints are categorized into three groups which include telecommunication companies’ hiccups, such as high cost of internet, poor network services and coverage; government obstacles, such as high tax policies, insufficient electricity supply and lack of basic infrastructure; and university barriers, such as unavailability of Wi-Fi connection for students, lack of equipped university libraries and poor management. Originality/value Thus, a holistic Framework for Enhancing Students Smartphones Learning Ability was established to provide fundamental recommendations to the Nigerian Government, telecommunication companies in Nigeria and Nigerian universities to tackle the pressing issues hindering Nigerian students from using their smartphones for learning. This will enhance the smartphone learning experience of Nigerian students.

A significant challenge in the Nigerian work environment is the challenge of productivity. This challenge has been attributed to a long-held emphasis on training which is concerned with the immediate benefit of the organisation. This study examined the effect of employee needs identification on employee productivity measured how far the Nigerian corporate world has adjusted to this trend. The scope of the survey cut across the Nigerian telecommunication companies. Specifically, the objective of the study was to determine how the employee needs identification impacts employee productivity variables (employee problem-solving skills, employee effectiveness, employee efficiency, and employee innovation and creativity). The population of the study consists of all employees who are engaged in the operations of the three main mobile service providers in Lagos State, Nigeria which was a total of 359. The sample size of 359 was arrived at using a census approach because the population of all the three firms’ customer service centres and the total number of employees of their customer service centres are within the Lagos geographical location. The study adopted the survey research design to generate findings from quantitative data. Results were analysed with structural equation modelling with Path coefficients, and Statistics used to measure the variables. From the study’s findings, variables measured had a high effect on each other, with employee needs identification directly and significantly influencing employee productivity. It was recommended that management must assess the learning requirements of individual employees and cater for their learning needs in order to have a more productive workforce

A research question and hypothesis were formulated in directing the framework of the study. Data was collected through a Primary source using a well-structured questionnaire. Descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics were adopted for analysis of research question and testing of hypothesis at 0.05 level of significance. The findings revealed that the work environment of telecommunication businesses in Port Harcourt is favorably and strongly related to sportsmanship. Conclusively, an appropriate work environment is absolutely the number one fashion of every company. Sportsmanship cannot function effectively in an obsolete work environment.
