<p class="apa">This research was aimed to 1) study current conditions, problems, and needs of teachers for development and learning management in the extended educational opportunities schools (EEOSs: schools where they extended fundamental education from primary level of six years to lower secondary level of nine years), in Thailand, 2) develop the system of teacher development for the learning management, 3) implement and extend the results of study to other EEOSs. Research methodology was based on research and development approach which divided into three stages as follows: Stage 1) Preliminary study on current conditions, problems, and needs from related literature. The synthesis of related ideas and theories were then validated by the survey on the subjects representing school administrators and academic affairs teachers. Statistics used were percentage, means, and standard deviation. Stage 2) System development for the learning management was validated by nine educational experts. The validity of the system was based on feasibility and content appropriateness. Stage 3) Implementation of the system. The school performed teacher development program according to the procedures described in the manual. There were five research tools used which included: data survey, semi-structure interview, knowledge evaluation, learning management competency evaluation, and satisfaction evaluation. Research finding reported that the teachers needed professional development on professional training, study visit, and internal supervision. The system of teacher development has four main factors: input, process, output, and feedback. Overall, the system was the standard baseline for effective training in the EEOSs and possible to implement in other schools for learning management and student effectiveness.</p>

AbstractAs multiparty activities focus groups afford participants opportunities to interact with each other rather than only with the moderator. The methodological literature recommends focus groups for data generation precisely for these structural affordances, but few studies examine how the interaction in ongoing focus groups evolves. Consequently it remains largely obscure how focus groups produce disciplinary knowledge. Addressing this gap from the perspective of conversation analysis, the study examines focus group interaction as the participants’ joint accomplishment, with particular attention to the interactional practices that exhibit the participants’ orientation to the institutional activity and its agenda. The focus groups were conducted as part of a program evaluation study with Korean teachers of English who participated in a study-abroad teacher development program in the U.S. The analysis reveals how the participants contingently initiate activity and topic shifts in keeping with the institutional purpose and invoke their collective identity as an epistemic community as they jointly construct responses to the moderator’s questions. The conversation-analytic lens reveals how the focus groups generate profound, nuanced, and grounded knowledge about the program under evaluation from the perspective of the key stakeholders and by implication about the topical concerns for which the focus groups were conducted in the first place.

The authors regard the technology for the translating competence improving within the training framework at the Institute of Foreign Languages. This article analyzes the basics for creating an online teaching course in order to progress translating skills seeing those as general professional training elements. The authors give a detailed overview of main translating professional competences, including their structure and classification, the ones needed to be improved in the professional development process. The system development aspects of translation competence enhancement are specified. The content and structure of appropriate translation skills and the abilities development program are considered. The authors analyzed a variety of skills technologies for developing translating skills. Professionally oriented translation skills are detailed as the translator development program components. The exercise typology used in teaching translation is considered. Some types of sample exercises for practical translation skills laboratory classes are given.

Constraints on our personal and professional life imposed by the COVID 19 pandemic have radically influenced our approach to forms of education, including those used in further professional training of employees. This shift means the focus on distance education as a managed educational form, which is suitable for further professional training. The aim of the paper is to present the implementation of distance education in further professional training in enterprises and based on the empirical research propose ways of improving options of education. Distance education is characterised in terms of its principles and developmental stages. Its first generation was correspondence education. The Learning Management System (LMS) and Learning Content Management System (LCMS) are described as the systems applied in further professional training. The research was conducted by means of the questionnaire method, combined with the pre-research survey. Results of empirical research are presented in tables. Separate parts of the paper deal with ICT application in corporate education (correspondence education, Computer-based training (CBT), Web-based training (WBT), Technology Based Training (TBT) and with the utilisation of Learning Management Systems (LMS). Analysis of respondent opinions shows that respondents tend to prefer the face-to-face form of corporate education. The length of the pandemic is going to affect the spread of e-learning in corporate education and its role in education. The learners’ interest may be expected to be shifted to LCM and LCMS utilisation. As popular music education programs become more common, it is essential to determine what kinds of professional development experiences that are designed to help teachers include popular music into their music education classrooms are effective—keeping in mind that the inclusion of popular music in K–12 classrooms requires a change not only in instrumentation and repertoire but also pedagogical approaches. This study examined the effects of a popular music professional development initiative on more than 600 New York City urban music teachers’ musicianship, their pedagogy, and their leadership skills throughout one school year. Results revealed increases in all three areas, most notably in teachers’ musicianship. The study also showed an increase in teachers’ positive perceptions about their music programs, specifically, their level of excitement about the state of their music program and that their music program was more effective at meeting their students’ needs than it had been previously.

The article focuses on such a research area as human resources of the state. And their integrated assessment. The results obtained by type of economic activity are quite high, which is fully consistent with the dynamics of actual and future indicators. According to the Strategy of the state personnel policy, their content consists in: defining the tasks of the national personnel management system; development and implementation of a human development monitoring system; increasing labor productivity; calculation of efficiency and return on investment in human development; improving the national system of professional training taking into account the real needs of staff in the field of public administration, social and humanitarian sphere, key sectors of the economy, industry and agro-industrial complex. The procedure for analyzing human resources should begin with the choice of indicators. The final stage of the integrated long-term assessment of human resources is to determine the appropriate integrated indicator as a project component. The trends of each of the selected indicators for the calculation of the integrated indicator of human resources are constructed in the researched. Below are the equations of trends for the indicator "personnel costs of economic entities by type of economic activity", characterize, respectively, industry and construction and are presented in the form of exponential and linear relationships. This choice of trend equations is due to the dynamics of actual indicators.

A mentorship program is cost-efficient and effective ways to get employees engaged and empowered. The program enables developing talent and increases productivity across the organization. The executive team of Sekolah Pelita Harapan has grown a strong desire to help equipping educational leaders to be effective in their role as educators. It is founded on the belief that an excellent candidate having a background of experience in education and showing strong potential for further leadership development can benefit enormously through the opportunities that mentorship can offer. Through several models of teacher development programs, it was finally confirmed that the mentoring program was an excellent way to develop the teacher's performance.
