This study has been conducted to find out the technological gap in recommended cultivation practices of the cabbage growers in order to understand the extent of the difference between the traditional and non- traditional practices practiced by the local farmers in the district. The aforementioned study was conducted at Kuhuboto block in Dimapur district of Nagaland in the year 2021. A descriptive research designed was applied for this study. The primary data was collected from 120 respondents by personal interview method using pre-structure interview schedule. After the analysis of the data, it was observed that, maximum number of the respondents (55.83%) were having medium level of overall utilization of information sources and majority of the cabbage growers (62.50%) belonged to medium level of over-all technological gap category. It indicates that a sum number of the population had incorporated the new technologies while others have still yet to adopt and use the new recommended cabbage cultivation. The socio- economic variables associated with the respondents, such as education and training exposure were positively significant with the extent of adoption of improved package of practices of cabbage cultivation. The above results compel the research and extension system to work on the gaps in a pragmatic way.

Breastfeeding is an ideal form of feeding to neonate. It is most precious gift a mother can give and is free of cost. It should be started as soon as possible after birth. Breast milk is a species-specific complete food. Human milk facilitates effortless digestion for infant and is well absorbed by the newborn. It helps in stimulating the production of breast milk, protect against infection and facilitate mother infant bonding and promotes better brain growth. For mothers breastfeeding helps in involution of uterus, delays pregnancy and lower risk of breast and ovarian cancer. Every year around 57,000 children below 5 years of age lose their lives, among which 54 percent die within the first month of life. The data stated that 22 percent of newborn death can be prevented through breastfeeding within 1st hour of birth. Mother play a very important roles in reducing neonatal mortality and neonatal morbidity rate by their knowledge and practice while feeding their baby. Method: Descriptive correlation study design was conducted in the month of August 2021 National Medical College and Teaching Hospital, Birganj, Nepal. Sample size was 50 primi para mothers. Purposive sampling techniques was used to select the sample. Semi structure interview schedule and observation checklist was prepared according to objectives which comprised questions related to demographic variables, Knowledge to assess breastfeeding and observational checklist to assess practice Data was collected by administering this structured questionnaire to the primipara mothers. Result: In the study 31 (62.0%) had adequate, 19 (38.0%) had moderate and none of them had inadequate knowledge regarding breastfeeding. 23 (46.0 had good, 27 (54.0%) had satisfactory and none of them had poor practice on breastfeeding. The results show that there was moderate degree positive correlation between knowledge and practice. Key words: Knowledge, practice, breastfeeding and primipara mothers.

The purpose of this study was to reveal the lecturer’s strategy in enhancing students’ English vocabularies in the process of teaching and learning in the classroom. 3 English lecturers who have ever taught English for Academic Purposes (EAP) in non-English department were involved in this study. The data were collected through semi-structure interview. Thematic analysis was applied for analysis the participants’ interview result. Finding of this study show that; first. the participants used selected reading text as a media of enhancing students vocabularies. Second, the strategy was implemented through small group discussion and pair work to make students actively participated in sharing the knowledge. Third, the participants evaluated the students’ understanding of reading text strategy by asking them to work individually without any assistance from the group members   This study recommended that the findings can be a basis consideration in enhancing students’ vocabularies in the process of teaching and learning.

The Covid-19 pandemic has brought changes in various fields of life, including education. The purpose of this study was to describe the challenges faced by teachers and students in e-learning in the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a qualitative approach through data collection using an online questionnaire with Google form and structure interview by phone. Respondents consisted of 163 geography teachers and 104 students at the high school level in North Sumatra Province. This data is then analyzed descriptively in the form of scores and percentages. The result showed that the challenges faced by teachers were especially expertise, preparation for learning, access to e-learning, management of learning in the e-learning platform, supporting facilities, and time effectiveness in e-learning. While the challenges faced by students include understanding the material, access to the learning process, discipline in online learning, learning support facilities for e-learning, and the conditions of the learning environment. Pandemi Covid-19 membawa perubahan  pada berbagai bidang kehidupan termasuk bidang pendidikan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan tantangan yang dihadapi guru dan siswa pada e-learning di masa pandemi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui pengumpulan data dengan kuesioner online menggunakan Google form dan wawancara terstruktur melalui telepon. Responden terdiri atas 163 guru geografi dan 104 siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas di Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dalam bentuk skor dan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tantangan yang dihadapi guru antara lain keahlian, persiapan pembelajaran, akses e-learning, pengelolaan pembelajaran dalam platform e-learning, fasilitas pendukung dan efektifitas waktu. Sedangkan tantangan yang dihadapi siswa meliputi pemahaman terhadap materi, akses e-learning, disiplin dalam e-learning, fasilitas pendukung dan kondisi lingkungan pembelajaran.

The objective of this study was to explore the difficulties faced by special education teachers during emergency remote teaching through online learning to special needs students during covid-19 pandemic and discuss their opinions. Population of study was special education teachers who were teaching to special needs students of secondary level at government special education institutions Faisalabad division of Punjab province Pakistan. The sample of the study was 15special education teachers were selected through random sampling technique. Phenomenology pattern was used in this research as a method of research.  Semi structure interview was used as a tool of research. Results of the study clearly showed that almost all the special education teachers were motivated towards providing emergency remote teaching to their special students through online learning system. They have practiced a variety of strategies to provide online education to their students but they face a lot of difficulties in this regard. As majority of special students were from low socio economic background, so they have a lack of online learning facilities i.eandroid cell phones, laptops and internet connection etc. It was interesting to know that all the students who have sufficient facilities of online learning were not utilizing this for constructive purpose and to overcome their academic problems.  They were merely wasting it over social media and gadgets are not utilizing for constructive purpose which was creating anxiety for their parents. Voice of Indonesia is part of institution broadcast public that owned by Radio of Republic Indonesia. Diplomatic Forum is one of Voice of Indonesia's program. The concept of this program is talk show who talking about politic, economic and culture issues. The participant of this program are the ambbassador, part of the ministry or academics who expert in discussion topic. This research is to describe, analysis role of Voice of Indonesia through Diplomatic Forum Programme. This research is use by qualitative methods with constructivist paradigm. The result of this research taken by semi-structure interview and use literature study. The result of this research found that Diplomatic Forum Programme is one of Voice of Indonesia's implementation from vision and mission Voice of Indonesia to become one of Instution owned by nation that can to build character nation and make positive image into foreign. Through diplomatic forum, foreigner listeners more understand about policies that apply in Indonesia thru the result of expert's discussion in that programme and also help promote Indonesia into foreigners.

School of nature is one of the new concepts in the world of education. The natural school is basically an alternative form of education that uses the universe as a place of learning, teaching material and also as an object of learning. According to some experts, it is believed that this concept is an effective approach for the realization of activities related to active learning. The aims of this research are to investigate how the management of natural schools works, specifically in planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. This study utilized qualitative method with a case study approach. The data were collected by semi structure interview, observation and documentation. The data were then analyzed, described, and interpreted comprehensively. The data revealed  that character education and religion are emphasized to the students in teaching and learning process. There are 3 curriculum adopted in the management of this natural school, namely: Curriculum implemented by the national Education Office, IT (Islam terpadu) curriculum, and BBA curriculum (learning with nature). It was agreed to create an academic student and balanced character.

<p>Hospital admissions of young children due to serious skin infections have increased throughout the Greater Wellington Region over the years. Pacific children make up a high proportion of these hospital admissions. While the literature suggests that these admissions are highly preventable through proper care and management of skin sores at home, little is known about parents' knowledge and practices at home when a child is known to have a skin sore. This descriptive exploratory study explored the management of skin sores and wound care in the homes of 11 Pacific children from the Greater Wellington region prior to being admitted with skin infections. Mothers of 11 children who were aged between three months and 15 years were interviewed using a semi-structure interview schedule that was designed to understand parents' knowledge, understanding and perceptions of wound care, how the early signs of infections were recognised and where and when to seek medical help. The availability of first aid kits and their utilisation by families in their homes as simple preventative measures were also explored. The interviews were transcribed and a descriptive qualitative content analysis process undertaken. Overall the study found that parents engaged in active roles in an effort to maintain and sustain the wellbeing of their children once the signs and symptoms of skin infections were identified. The key findings are categorised under four main themes, 1) Parents in action; 2) The search for healing and cure; 3) Household activities; and 4) Health information for parents. Implications and recommendations for health professionals centre on the need for improved information for parents and for a review of practice surrounding skin infections in primary health care settings. Relevant information on skin infections on children to be addressed in the Well Child Tamariki Ora booklet is also recommended.</p>

<p>Although school climate is known to exert a potent sway on teachers’ overall effectiveness, little is known about it influence on teacher job performance in educational institutions in Ghana albeit no evidence from Shama District. In view of this lacuna in literature, this study employed Halpin and Croft’s (1963) dimensions of organizational climate as a theoretical lens to understand the influence of school climate on teacher job performance. The study utilized sequential explanatory mixed method design within the context of pragmatist paradigm. Census, proportionate stratified random and convenience sampling techniques was used to sample 585 respondents. Structured questionnaire and semi-structure interview were used to collect data which were analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistics whereas thematic approach was employed in analyzing the qualitative data. The study revealed that open climate was dominant, followed by the autonomous, controlled, familiar, paternal and closed climates, and that generally job performance of teachers was rated as very good. Besides, the study indicated that school climate was a good predictor of teacher job performance. However, the study revealed that in order of magnitude, it was familiar climate that contributed most to teachers’ job performance, followed by open and controlled climates while the contribution of autonomous, paternal and closed climates were not significant. It was, therefore, recommended that headteachers and teachers should be conscious of the kind of interpersonal relationships that exist among them and be guided to strengthen the climate in their schools, especially the familiar, open and controlled climate traits since they contribute significantly to teacher job performance so as to realize educational goals and objectives.</p><p> </p><p><strong> Article visualizations:</strong></p><p><img src="/-counters-/edu_01/0876/a.php" alt="Hit counter" /></p>
