In the Fe-Ni system, although ordered FeNi and ordered Ni3Fe are experimentally well established, direct evidence for ordered Fe3Ni is unconvincing. Little experimental data for Fe3Ni exists because diffusion is sluggish at temperatures below 400°C and because alloys containing less than 29 wt% Ni undergo a martensitic transformation at room temperature. Fe-Ni phases in iron meteorites were examined in this study because iron meteorites have cooled at slow rates of about 10°C/106 years, allowing phase transformations below 400°C to occur. One low temperature transformation product, called clear taenite 2 (CT2), was of particular interest because it contains less than 30 wtZ Ni and is not martensitic. Because CT2 is only a few microns in size, the structure and Ni content were determined through electron diffraction and x-ray microanalysis. A Philips EM400T operated at 120 kV, equipped with a Tracor Northern 2000 multichannel analyzer, was used.

AbstractAmorphous silicon (a-Si) films prepared on oxidized silicon wafer were crystallized to a highly textured form using contact printing of rolled and annealed nickel tapes. Crystallization was achieved by first annealing the a-Si film in contact with patterned Ni tape at 600°C for 20 min in a flowing forming gas (90 % N2, 10 % H2) environment, then removing the Ni tape and further annealing the a-Si film in vacuum for2hrsat600°C. An array of crystalline regions with diameters of up to 20 μm could be formed. Electron microscopy indicates that the regions are essentially single-crystalline except for the presence of twins and/or type A-B formations, and that all regions have the same orientation in all 3 directions even when separated by more than hundreds of microns. High resolution TEM analysis shows that formation of such orientation-controlled, nearly single crystalline regions is due to formation of nearly single crystalline NiSi2 under the point of contact, which then acts as the template for silicide-induced lateral crystallization. Furthermore, the orientation relationship between Si grains and Ni tape is observed to be Si (110) || Ni (001)

on this research is to study the effect of nickel oxide substitution on the pure phases superconductor Tl0.5Pb0.5Ba2Can-1Cun-xNixO2n+3-δ (n=3) where x=(0,0.2,0.4,0.6,0.8.and 1.0). The specimens in this work were prepared with used  procedure of solid state reaction with sintering temperature 8500C for 24 h .we used technical (4-prob)to calculated and the critical temperature Tc . The results of the XRD diffraction analysis showed that the structure for pure and doped phases was tetragonal with phases high-Tc phase (1223),(1212) and low-Tc phase (1202)  and add to the presence of some impure phase. It was noted the value a=b,c  the parameter of  the lattice increment  with the increment of Ni content. The increment of (NiO) concentration effects electrical resistivity, dielectric constant and the hardness.

Abstract Invar is an Fe-Ni alloy with 36% Ni content that exhibits the lowest expansion of known metals from very low temperatures up to approximately 230 deg C (445 deg F). Invar M93 is a cryogenic Invar with improved weldability. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and shear and bend strength as well as fracture toughness and fatigue. It also includes information on low temperature performance as well as forming and joining. Filing Code: FE-143. Producer or source: Metalimphy Precision Alloys.

The ROI (Region of Interest) Image Quality Assessment is an image quality assessment model based on the SSI (Structural Similarity Index) index used in the specific image region desired to be assessed. Output assessmen value used by this image assessment model is 1 which means identical and -1 which means not identical. Assessment model of ROI Quality Assessment in this research is used to measure image quality on Kinect sensor capture result used in Mobile HD Robot after applied Multiple Localized Filtering Technique. The filter is applied to each capture sensor depth result on Kinect, with the aim to eliminate structural noise that occurs in the Kinect sensor. Assessment is done by comparing image quality before filter and after filter applied to certain region. The kinect sensor will be conditioned to capture a square black object measuring 10cm x 10cm perpendicular to a homogeneous background (white with RGB code 255,255,255). The results of kinect sensor data will be taken through EWRF 3022 by visual basic 6.0 program periodically 10 times each session with frequency 1 time per minute. The results of this trial show the same similar index (value 1: identical) in the luminance, contrast, and structural section of the edge region or edge region of the specimen. The value indicates that the Multiple Localized Filtering Technique applied to the noise generated by the Kinect sensor, based on the ROI Image Quality Assessment model has no effect on the image quality generated by the sensor.
