Archaeological data are usually inherently incomplete, heterogeneous, discontinuous and require frequent updates and possible adjustments. It is important to constantly create detailed documentation, which will precisely represent the actual situation. However, even the most precise figure is only an estimated representation of the documented object. Therefore, it is necessary to collect fully metric documentation and its professional archaeological interpretation. Acquiring correct and valuable underwaterdigital images for the archaeology purposes is not easy due to specific shooting conditions. It should be noted a number of limitations are unique to this type of imaging environment — the apparent extension of the focal length, the “disappearance” of colours, as well as a significant reduction in the transparency of the water environment. Therefore, the authors have made attempts to describe changes, in a much broader sense, in the quality of photogrammetric images that had been taken in various shooting conditions. Underwater and aerial images of two test fields were tested. First, the ground sampling distance of the INTOVA IC500 digital camera and the geometric accuracy of the acquired images were examined. Then, the impact of changes to the imaging conditions on the radio-metric resolution and colour projection were designated. In the last stage, the acquired images were used in practice — to assess the progress of the erosion process of an archaeological object, and also to comply its documentation in the form of vector drawing with the accuracy of mxy = ±0.5 mm. The paper presents the results of research on the environmental impact of sewage ponds serving the city of Kostanay (Kazakhstan). The scope of the research included the determination of basic quality parameters of raw and treated wastewater, an analysis of the chemical composition of groundwater in the vicinity of sewage ponds, and the analysis of the water quality of the Tobol River. The obtained results indicate that sewage from storage ponds, infiltrating into the ground, caused groundwater pollution in the area of about 100 km2 around the reservoirs. Due to the fact that the groundwater aquifer in the vicinity of sewage ponds feeds the Tobol River, it also affects water quality in the river, which does not meet the requirements for most of the analyzed parameters.

The life of coastal communities is always associated with water. Anafre River estuary is one of the river estuaries that empties directly into the Gulf of Yos Sudarso. The amount of particles swept away and buried in estuary sedimentation Anafre inflicts not only the river but the Gulf of Yos Sudarso. Declining water quality of the Gulf of Yos Sudarso is caused by the influx of water from the Anafre River, whereas all Anafre River watersheds are located in close proximity to residential areas. This study aims to determine the level of public knowledge on the effects of sedimentation and community based management. Data are collected by field observations and interviews with the community, and analyzed using the qualitative descriptive method. The results showed that the community plays an active role in the maintenance and utilization of the Yos Sudarso area, because the gulf of Yos Sudarso serves as transportation routes, tourist areas, and workplaces (fishermen). The maintenance of water environment in river estuaries and the gulf is based on the principles of awareness and cooperation without ignoring the people's culture.

Introduced the use of 3D time baseline parallax method of steel structure,calculation of deformation measurement data processing methods, and the experimental results are given. This method considered the resolution, focal length, and the impact of external environmental conditions. Has made the small observation error, high precision results.Digital cameras used for digital photographic survey, avoid the complex process of measuring cameras printing. The photographic measurements can be performed simultaneously inside and outside the industry.So far, more suitable for digital camera solver methods are direct linear transformation and time baseline parallax method. Among them, 3D time baseline parallax method is mainly used for measuring spatial displacement of objects.

Today's technologies enable efficient data management and generally contribute to effective control of the construction process. There are various ways of focusing on a real construction project based on laser or digital camera measurements, however, the quality of outputs is depending on the lighting conditions. Proper lighting conditions greatly affect the result of the processed record, especially its final texture, geometry, and affect any errors in the measured values. There are various lighting conditions on the construction site, which affect the quality of the documentation made. While in the outdoor parts this situation is affected by daylight, inside the building we must rely on artificial lighting and as a result there are many parts without sufficient lighting, or the lighting is completely absent.In this article we focus on the evaluation of the impact of lighting in documenting the course of work on the site using 360 ° photogrammetry, especially in relation to verification of geometric accuracy, position of structures and current work in progress and follows the analysis of standard and technical requirements to determine appropriate ways to ensure adequate lighting.

Due to geographical limitations (lack of natural receivers of treated wastewater) large sewage storage ponds are the main method of sewage disposal in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The paper presents the results of research on the environmental impact of sewage ponds serving the city of Kostanay (Kazakhstan). The scope of the research included the determination of basic quality parameters of raw and treated wastewater, the analysis of the chemical composition of groundwater in the vicinity of sewage ponds, and the analysis of the water quality of the Tobol River. The obtained results showed that efficiency of treatment facilities was unsatisfactory and water quality in the ponds did not meet requirements for surface waters for fishery. Highest contamination of groundwater was observed in sampling points close to the sewage ponds and was decreasing while the distance from the ponds was increasing. Multivariate analysis of the research data indicated that sewage from storage ponds, infiltrating into the ground, may affect quality of groundwater, which in turn supplying the Tobol River may also determine the quality of the river water.

Purpose The purpose of this study was to identify levels of self-compassion in adults who do and do not stutter and to determine whether self-compassion predicts the impact of stuttering on quality of life in adults who stutter. Method Participants included 140 adults who do and do not stutter matched for age and gender. All participants completed the Self-Compassion Scale. Adults who stutter also completed the Overall Assessment of the Speaker's Experience of Stuttering. Data were analyzed for self-compassion differences between and within adults who do and do not stutter and to predict self-compassion on quality of life in adults who stutter. Results Adults who do and do not stutter exhibited no significant differences in total self-compassion, regardless of participant gender. A simple linear regression of the total self-compassion score and total Overall Assessment of the Speaker's Experience of Stuttering score showed a significant, negative linear relationship of self-compassion predicting the impact of stuttering on quality of life. Conclusions Data suggest that higher levels of self-kindness, mindfulness, and social connectedness (i.e., self-compassion) are related to reduced negative reactions to stuttering, an increased participation in daily communication situations, and an improved overall quality of life. Future research should replicate current findings and identify moderators of the self-compassion–quality of life relationship.

Lung cancer is one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers across Northern America and Europe. Treatment options offered are dependent on the type of cancer, the location of the tumor, the staging, and the overall health of the person. When surgery for lung cancer is offered, difficulty swallowing is a potential complication that can have several influencing factors. Surgical interaction with the recurrent laryngeal nerve (RLN) can lead to unilateral vocal cord palsy, altering swallow function and safety. Understanding whether the RLN has been preserved, damaged, or sacrificed is integral to understanding the effect on the swallow and the subsequent treatment options available. There is also the risk of post-surgical reduction of physiological reserve, which can reduce the strength and function of the swallow in addition to any surgery specific complications. As lung cancer has a limited prognosis, the clinician must also factor in the palliative phase, as this can further increase the burden of an already compromised swallow. By understanding the surgery and the implications this may have for the swallow, there is the potential to reduce the impact of post-surgical complications and so improve quality of life (QOL) for people with lung cancer.
