The article deals with the problem of training specialists in the field of petroleum engineering ready to work in interdisciplinary teams and projects. Interdisciplinary approach including globally conditioned interdisciplinarity has been discussed in the context of engineering education since the beginning of the 21th century. This approach contains a number of basic components, namely: structure, process, language, identity, and technologies. Efficiency of interdisciplinary training depends on the general dynamics of a team. The international community has not disputed on the significance of interdisciplinary approach for engineers, but the key issue remains – how to apply theory for practice in both curricula development and learning process itself. Interdisciplinarity in the petroleum education is considered as a basis for critically new competitive engineering solutions. The indicators proving the presence of interdisciplinary management system at university are outlined. Based on the elaborated principles of interdisciplinary activities a set of required tools and elements to manage interdisciplinary training of petroleum engineers is presented. The significance of an interdisciplinary approach in professional training for future petroleum engineers is grounded. It has been proved that interdisciplinarity in its broadest sense is the trend, challenges of a global nature, which are updated set of circumstances, reasons that are multifaceted, varied and contradictory. It has been substantiated that the methodological part, multidisciplinary update of economics has become a constructive synthesis of theoretical research in this area, which includes not just interdisciplinary cooperation and mutual enrichment at the methodological level, forming a systematic, holistic vision of the economy, the problems and contradictions of development.

ABSTRACT Introduction: Tooth dilacerations are dental anomalies characterized by an abrupt deviation in the longitudinal axis of a tooth. They may occur either in the crown, between the crown and root, or in the root. Although not so common, impacted maxillary incisors exhibiting root dilaceration pose a diagnostic and treatment challenge to the clinician. Description: This case report describes the management of a horizontally impacted and dilacerated maxillary central incisor in a 12-year-old girl. Cone-beam computed tomographic scans were used to accurately localize the position of the dilacerated tooth, and to assess the extent of root formation and degree of dilaceration present in the root. Treatment included surgical exposure and orthodontic traction, followed by root canal treatment and apicoectomy. Results: Through a meticulously planned interdisciplinary approach, the impacted dilacerated central incisor was properly aligned and demonstrated good stability after the long-term follow-up. Conclusion: Taking into consideration the concerns and expectations of the patient, communicative feedback between the oral surgeon, orthodontist and endodontist helped achieving successful esthetic, structural and functional outcome in the present case.

Abstract The article deals with the problem of interdisciplinarity impact on higher petroleum education in Ukraine. Different views on the essence of interdisciplinarity, especially in the context of higher petroleum education, have been presented. It has been indicated that many scholars have studied the essence of interdisciplinarity within higher education systems of different countries and identified that interdisciplinarity encompasses a combination or interrelation of various sciences that are embodied in engineering training process. Interdisciplinarity is considered as one of the effective tools to support enthusiasm of young generation for petroleum engineering; to increase motivation of future petroleum experts; and to enhance the efficiency of collaboration between professionals from different fields. In reality, interdisciplinary approach is very often confused with multidisciplinarity when educators give students knowledge from various disciplines without making the link between them into a coordinated whole. It has been concluded that interdisciplinarity or interdisciplinary approach can be regarded as a natural training context in which boundaries between knowledge systems tend to be erased and a new teaching paradigm is required. It has been revealed that implementation of interdisciplinary approach in engineering programmes necessitates the development of such an educational framework that would provide educators with the relevant methods, tools, and models for design of interdisciplinary engineering curricula regarding specific learning outcomes and ensure support for faculty members to improve their own competence in the interdisciplinary issues. The standards and guidelines of international educational interdisciplinarity of degree programmes in petroleum engineering are analyzed in the article.

Root resorption is largely pathologic and known to be initiated by several factors, including pulpal necrosis, trauma, periodontal treatment, orthodontic treatment, and bleaching agents. Incorrect diagnosis can lead to improper management and tooth loss. The treatment should involve the complete suppression of all the resorptive factors and the reconstruction of the defect using a suitable restorative material. The resorptive defect is often detected by the routine radiographic examination. A characteristic radiopaque line generally separates the image of the lesion from that of the root canal because the pulp remains protected by a thin layer of predentin until late in the process. Histopathologically, the lesions contain fibrovascular tissue with resorbing clastic cells adjacent to the dentin surface. Advanced lesions may also display fibro-osseous characteristics with deposition of ectopic bone-like calcifications. This case report presents extensive root resorption in the maxillary left lateral incisor and left canine in a 35-year-old patient. The defect was identified during the routine radiographic examination. The patient revealed a history of trauma 15 years back. Following the examination, the teeth were found to be vital and associated with the moderately deep periodontal pocket in the interdental region. The teeth were managed endodontically, and the resorption defect was restored with a biocompatible material after surgically elevating a flap. Periodontal management was also performed simultaneously by the surgical debridement of the area. Six-month postoperative radiograph revealed an arrest of the resorption and healing of the periodontal defect. Hence, an interdisciplinary management involving endodontic as well as periodontal treatment was performed that helped in saving the teeth with poor prognosis.

The methodology of systematic approach of guaranteeing the quality of training for military specialists in higher military educational institutions is disclosed in the article. It was determined that the process of education and upbringing takes place under conditions of change of pedagogical goals in any pedagogical system. This process is accompanied by the emergence of new tasks in the field of education and education as society develops. There is a constant updating of scientific information, in the conditions of improvement of existing ones and creation of new methods of teaching and upbringing. There is a constant update of the student and teacher contingent throughout the learning and upbringing process. The systematic approach as a methodological basis for the development of quality assurance systems for the training of military specialists in higher military educational institutions is revealed. It is found that the systematic approach does not exist in the form of a clear methodology with a defined logical concept. This system, formed from a set of logical techniques, methodological rules and principles of theoretical research, thus performs a heuristic function in the general system of scientific knowledge. The functioning of the system is the process of professional training of future military specialists in higher military educational establishments. An important result of the functioning of the system is the high level of readiness of future military specialists for practical activity. This can be achieved by ordering the system based on certain principles. These principles include: the principle of objectivity, completeness, specific-historical (genetic) approach, systematic, contradictory pedagogical experience.
