Background: Binge eating is a public health problem associated with reduced physical health (ie, being overweight and obese) and mental health. Binge eating symptoms are so prevalent that many people who struggle with the symptoms have never been diagnosed with the binge eating disorder (BED). Examining the underlying emotional mechanisms of this behavior and the gender differences in these mechanisms remains largely unexplored. Objectives: The present study aimed to investigate the association between internal and external body-image shame and binge eating symptoms in men and women mediated by self-criticism. Methods: This correlation study was based on structural equation modeling. The statistical population of the study included all students of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran. Finally, using multi-stage cluster random sampling, a total of 313 participants were included in the study. Instruments including Body-Image Shame Scale (BISS), Forms of Self-criticizing/Self-reassuring Scale (FSCRS), and Binge Eating Scale (BES) were used in the study. Results: According to the results, the severity of binge eating symptoms had a positive and significant relationship with external and internal body-image shame, hated-self, and inadequate-self, while it had a negative and significant relationship with reassured-self. The results also indicated that in men, inadequate-self, and reassured-self, and in women, hated-self, inadequate-self, and reassured-self mediated the association between internal and external body-image shame and the severity of binge eating symptoms. Conclusions: Our results indicated that forms of self-criticism could differently mediate the relationship between external and internal body-image shame and the severity of binge eating symptoms in Iranian men and women. This gender difference in the mediation model can be considered in clinical practice, and appropriate treatment methods can be used accordingly.

Methods The research method was descriptive-correlational. The statistical population consisted of all female applicants for cosmetic surgery referred to the medical centers (15 khordad plastic surgery hospital, and Fatima plastic surgery hospital) in Tehran in 2016. 100 of them were selected through purposive sampling. For collecting the data,, the self-body multidimensional relationship questionnaire (Cache, Winstead and Janda, 1987), self-concept questionnaire (SCQ) (Rogers, 1961) and the Oxford Happiness Questionnaire (Argyle, 1989) were used. Data were analyzed by Pearson correlation coefficient and multivariate regression analysis using SPSS (ver. 16) software. Results: The findings showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between physical image and happiness. Therefore, there was a positive and significant relationship between happiness and physical image components such as appearance assessment, fit assessment, tendency to fit and body satisfaction, But there was not a significant relationship between happiness, subjective weight and apparent tendency .There was also a negative and significant relationship between self-concept and happiness. Body image and self-concept significantly predicted happiness. Conclusion: Therefore, it can be concluded that body image and self-concept play a significant role in the happiness of women who apply for cosmetic surgery

The sample size consists of 30 depressed patients‟ age ranging from 21-60 which includes both men and women, identified with symptoms of depression due to body image and patients who have been treated with antidepressants for 3months-6years. The Unintentional Procrastination Scale by Bruce A.Fernie (2016) is used in this study. Results revealed from the test conducted, Out of 30 depressed patients, above 25% to 40% of the patients responded with moderate agreement. The present study was applied in terms of research objective and descriptive-survey research in terms of data collection method. The statistical population of the study encompassed all employees of the Gas Company of Hamedan(N=400). According to Morgan’s Table, the sample size was estimated to be 196. Moreover, simple random sampling method was used in the present study to select the research samples, and questionnaires were used as the research instrument to collect the required data. Content validity methods and confirmatory factor analyses were also adopted to assess the research validity. According to the findings, factor analysis is suitable to detect the structure of the factor model. Cronbach's alpha was used to measure reliability. Structural equation modeling was performed by LISREL software to analyze the data. The findings revealed a positive and significant relationship between empowerment and competitive advantage as well as a positive and significant relationship between empowerment and organizational agility, and a positive and significant relationship between empowerment and organizational intelligence among employees in the Gas Company of Hamadan. Moreover, there was a positive and significant relationship between organizational intelligence and competitive advantage, a positive and significant relationship between organizational intelligence and organizational agility, and a positive and significant relationship between competitive advantage and organizational agility among employees in the Gas Company of Hamadan.

BACKGROUND Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a global public health problem. It is the third-leading cause of death in the world, the fourth leading cause of death in Kazakhstan, and is strongly associated with smoking. Smoking cessation reduces the severity of respiratory symptoms and COPD exacerbations. Heated tobacco products, such as HeatSticks heated by the iQOS device, a smoke-free electronic device, may serve as less risky alternatives to conventional combustible cigarettes. OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study is to evaluate frequency of exacerbations, respiratory symptoms, physical exercise intolerance, and abnormal lung functions, as well as other parameters and comorbidities among men and women aged 40-59 residing in Almaty, Kazakhstan, who use iQOS with HeatSticks compared to smokers of conventional cigarettes. METHODS This is a 5-year single-center cohort observational study. It includes two cohorts of participants consisting of men and women aged 40-59 residing in the city of Almaty, Kazakhstan: (1) smokers of combustible cigarettes (control group) and (2) users of iQOS with HeatSticks (exposure group). The study has baseline and periodic (ie, annual) comprehensive clinical assessments, as well as continuous COPD case-finding activities and registration of acute respiratory exacerbations over the course of the 5-year observation period. Study measures include spirometry, chest computed tomography, electrocardiography, physical exams, laboratory testing of serum for biomarkers of inflammation and metabolic syndrome, anthropometry, and the 6-minute walk test. Information about COPD symptoms will be collected using the COPD Assessment Test. RESULTS Participant recruitment began December 2017, and enrollment is expected to last until late summer 2018. CONCLUSIONS This is the first cohort observational study in Kazakhstan to assess differences in lung function between users of the heated tobacco product, iQOS with HeatSticks, and smokers of conventional combustible cigarettes. The study results will add to knowledge on whether switching from combustible cigarettes to iQOS with HeatSticks affects respiratory symptoms and diseases, including the development and progression of COPD. This study aimed to explain the effect of information technology capabilities and organizational acceleration on performance with the role of innovation capacity moderator in the banking sector of Mazandaran province of Iran during 2020-21. The statistical population of the study includes 1400 people. In order to determine the sample size based on Cochran's limited formula, the number of samples in this study was set at 302, which were selected by simple random sampling. We collect the primary data through fieldwork, and the instrument of primary data collection was five-choice Likert questionnaires, and also library method was used to collect secondary data. Both content and formal methods were used for the validity of this questionnaire, and we analyzed its reliability with Cronbach's alpha that the overall reliability is equal to 0.906. Structural equation modeling using smart PLS software was also used to test the research hypotheses. The results showed that information technology capabilities and innovation capacity have a significant relationship with organizational acceleration. In addition, Organizational acceleration has a significant relationship with organizational performance, and innovation capacity in the relationship between IT capabilities also has a moderating role on organizational acceleration.
