Se concluyen líneas esperanzadoras donde el profesorado y los y las profesionales de la orientación  pueden jugar un papel esencial en la mejora de las condiciones actuales.ABSTRACT  Participation or representation constitutes one of the fundamental dimensions that make up, together with redistribution and recognition, the concept of social justice, whose meaning has expanded during the last decades thanks to multiple theoretical contributions. Within the framework of our research, we have analyzed the patterns of collaboration and participation of families in schools, as well as the tutorial action and educational guidance, understanding that both aspects can contribute positively to an improvement of said participation and the achievement of social justice in education. It is particularly interesting to deepen the critical analysis of teachers' discourse, as an indirect way of investigating educational praxis, as well as the variations and divergences that appear between the normative and the factual. The basic objective of this work is to identify whether social justice, from the participatory dimension, is present in the educational practice and discourse of professionals. Methodologically, it is based on a qualitative approach that uses Grounded Theory as an analysis tool. Data have been collected from a sample of teaching professionals, including counselors, using in-depth interviews. The results show that participation does not develop in substantive terms, but merely formal ones, evidencing the deficiencies in the field studied. The conclusions suggest the need for greater involvement of teachers in the field of tutorial care, developing more participatory and inclusive techniques and dynamics. Hopeful lines are concluded where teachers and educational counselors can play an essential role in improving current conditions.

Higher education plays an essential role in creating sustainable entrepreneurs. Therefore, this study aims to determine the internalization of entrepreneurship education in increasing the skills and knowledge in the Mentawir Mangrove Tourism Village community. This research uses a qualitative approach, with a type of phenomenology. Researchers act as implementers, observers, data collectors, data analyzers, giving actions, and at the same time producing research reports. In-depth interviews and observations with informants carried out data collection in this study. Data analysis in this study is using an interactive model. The results showed that the internalization of entrepreneurship education in the Mentawir Mangrove Tourism Village community is carried out traditionally. However, the output of the entrepreneurial education internalization process begins with creativity by the Tambun Tiram Tourism Awareness group in the form of mangrove syrup and bamboo handicraft production activities.

This study attempts to narrow the gaps that exist in the literature about branding in the context of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The research method used is a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews with Owners, Managing Directors, and Human Resource Managers in MSMEs. The results of this study indicate that the UMKM employer branding is still limited to intention. It can be seen from the absence of programs or activities that support employer branding programs that are felt directly by their employees. This is induced by the focus of MSME businessmen who are still on fundamental issues such as financial constraints and the absence of loyal consumers. The results of this study can be used by educators or stakeholders in Indonesian MSMEs as a reference for formulating employer branding approaches and strategies that are in line with the characteristics of MSMEs in Indonesia. Keywords: Employer branding, Human resources management, Micro, small and medium enterprises

Significant research explores effectiveness of entrepreneurial curriculum, teaching innovations and programs, but less often studied is the role of entrepreneurship educators. The way that the educator sees his or her role relative to the students is of critical importance because this directly influences pedagogy choices, expectations for students and learning outcomes, as well as job satisfaction. While recent studies propose typologies characterizing pedagogical approaches of educators, few of these are based on the data from entrepreneurship educators. Framed within role identity theory, we conducted 13 in–depth interviews to examine how entrepreneurship educators perceive their role. Using the qualitative data analysis tool (NVivo), we analyzed how the relationship between their perceptions of their role and core value orientation is connected to teaching approaches. Results show that these educators view their roles as teacher-focused, network-focused, or student-focused and that these perspectives are associated with different perceptions of students’ role and learning objectives. Further, we find different levels of emphasis on roles and that personal core values are differentially linked to these roles. Implications and future research directions are discussed.

This study explored the day-to-day experiences of female Filipino domestic workers in Singapore, including their working conditions, employee–employer relationships, and psychological health. In-depth interviews were conducted with 18 women. Using grounded theory, the emergent themes revealed high levels of variation, both within and between women, suggesting that the quality of domestic workers’ lives depends largely on the personal characteristics of their employers or the workers themselves, rather than on any system of protection. More importantly, participants displayed positive and resilient coping strategies which enabled them to thrive despite restrictive circumstances. Implications pertaining to capabilities and empowerment development were discussed.

AbstractThe focus of this response to Arthur Galamba and Brian Matthews’s ‘Science education against the rise of fascist and authoritarian movements: towards the development of a Pedagogy for Democracy’ is to underpin a critical pedagogy that can be used as a counterbalancing force against repressive ideologies within science classrooms. Locating science education within the traditions of critical pedagogy allows us to interrogate some of the historical, theoretical, and practical contradictions that have challenged the field, and to consider science learning as part of a wider struggle for social justice in education. My analysis draws specifically on the intellectual ideas of Paulo Freire, whose work continues to influence issues of theoretical, political, and pedagogical importance. A leading social thinker in educational practice, Freire rejected the dominant hegemonic view that classroom discourse is a neutral and value-free process removed from the juncture of cultural, historical, social, and political contexts. Freire’s ideas offer several themes of relevance to this discussion, including his banking conception of education, dialog and conscientization, and teaching as a political activity. I attempt to show how these themes can be used to advance a more socially critical and democratic approach to science teaching.

In the Covid-19 pandemic, distance learning is used as a method of teaching rather than learning methodologies. This research aims to investigate the implementation of distance learning through WhatsApp Group (WAG) at Private Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Bambel Kutacane, Southeast Aceh. This research uses a qualitative approach and gathered data by conducting in-depth interviews and documentation studies (field studies). The result of the research showed that distance learning carried out by madrasah using WAG is practised in three aspects, namely (1) learning, (2) assignment and (3) assessment. Even so, socialisation and debriefing are still needed for teachers to operate online learning effectively and efficiently, both through training organised by external and internal madrasas as well as the willingness of teachers to learn self-taught.
