The aim of this study is to examine the studies on digital transformation in higher education institutions in terms of different features and to reveal the tendency. Web of Science, EBSCO, ERIC Google Scholar databases were scanned between 2015 and 2019 (until the end of the year) in Turkey and other countries for this purpose. 69 studies were obtained as a result of the literature review. They were eliminated according to the study criteria. 22 studies were determined. These studies were classified according to features such as year, country, subject, purpose, method, data collection tool, target audience, results and recommendations. Literature Review as research design and descriptive content analysis as analysis method was used in the study. The findings showed that the number of studies in recent years -especially 2019- Turkey and other countries increased. Education and management components of digital transformation in universities were mainly examined in the studies. In addition, it was revealed that qualitative research designs are more preferred. This research revealed the current situation in the literature of the studies on digital transformation in higher education and gave some suggestions for future studies.

The aim of this study is to examine the current research trends in graduate theses on preschool inclusion in Turkey. Document analysis technique, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the research. It was carried out on 31 graduate theses, which were obtained as a result of scanning the thesis archive of the Higher Education Council (YÖK) and were open to access between 2016 to 2020. The search was carried out by typing "pre-school integration" into the search engine of the Higher Education Institution's thesis archive. The theses included in the study were analyzed using the thesis analysis form prepared beforehand by the researchers. In the prepared form, the theses were analyzed according to the year, thesis level, university, institute, department, thesis supervisor title, research model, number of participants, data collection tool, data analysis method, and domestic and foreign references. The findings obtained within the framework of the examination were interpreted with percentage and frequency tables, and recommendations were made for future research. Key Words: Mainstreaming, preschool, thesis, document analysis.

The purpose of this study is to summarize the evaluation criteria based on the organizations that determine the ranking of universities in the international arena and to formulate a proposal for the establishment of entrepreneur universities in Azerbaijan. The topic was studied by the method of qualitative research. The data for the study were collected from the evaluation tables of five different organizations that make up the rankings of the world’s universities. The obtained data were analyzed by the document analysis method. As a result of the study, certain proposals were made regarding the importance of transforming Azerbaijani higher education institutions into entrepreneur universities. It is revealed that, the prospective changes of the Azerbaijani universities into the entrepreneur universities is predicted to benefit the country’s social and economic development and in return increase the level of these universities in the Global University ranking tables.

Interview technique, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used as data collection tool and content analysis method was used for data analysis. Results. Demographic factors were interpreted after the analysis of the obtained data and three main research questions were discussed under the topics of the views of athletes about the concept of Orienteering which is an outdoor sport, themes and codes regarding the purpose of Orienteering by the students who participated in the outdoor camp, and themes and codes about the outcomes of Orienteering for the students who participated in outdoor camps. Conclusion. It is suggested that a policy must be developed within the Ministry of Youth and Sport and Sport Federations in order to disseminate more deliberate and more comprehensive outdoor education among young people and measures should be taken to provide extensive participation.

This paper aims to examine the three main issues, those are the main challenges faced by higher education institutions of Islamic Religion (PTAI),the implementation of the integration of religion and science in PTAI, and PTAI response to secularization and Islamization of science. Those make this paper focuson the discussion how PTAI response to the challenges, so PTAI can offer objects and perspective studies of Islamic knowledge and science that are universal, not dichotomous impression, challenging and interesting in future studies.

The article deals with various aspects of plagiarism: definition (discriminating it from cheating and copyright violation), types (intended / unintended), involved people, causes, prevention, detection and punishment of plagiarism. A survey (questionnaire containing 42 items to be assessed in a 5-point Likert scale and one open- ended item) was conducted in Georgia. The questionnaire developed based on the literature review was uploaded on social media in three variants (to analyze the results separately and compare them): for students, for researchers and for assessors. The obtained results revealed that the opinions of the three groups of respondents differed to a certain degree, but were quite similar, eventually. The survey disclosed the existing problems, such as: lack of academic writing (in the native and especially foreign language) and research skills, lack of training in avoiding plagiarism, insufficiently clear university policies in the area, the emphasis on punishment instead of prevention, etc. Based on the obtained results recommendations for universities are given concerning plagiarism policies.

Public sector organizations, primarily higher education institutions (HEIs), are facing greater levels of responsibility since adopting and committing to the Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development (SD) and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). HEIs are expected to provide guidance for various stakeholders on this matter, but also to implement this agenda and the SDGs in their institutions. Although the role of these organizations has been recognized, the fields and issues that HEIs should address on their path towards sustainability and SD are still unclear. To provide further clarity, a semi-systematic literature review on sustainability and SD in HEIs was conducted to identify both the key concepts and main research themes that represent sustainability and SD in HEIs and to identify research gaps. This review increases our knowledge of this topic and enhances our understanding of sustainability and SD in the context of HEIs.

The immediacy of the COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the sheer importance of internal and external communication with stakeholders. Universities had to rapidly grasp an unfolding and fast-changing crisis, gauge their level of preparedness, review decision and implementation processes, devise strategies, and adapt communication approaches. This exploratory study conducts a literature review in order to identify relevant studies that address how higher education institutions communicated to their stakeholders during the COVID-19 pandemic. The review of the literature revealed that although many higher education institutions had disaster recovery plans in place, few were well-equipped for a disruption of global proportions. Using a grounded theory approach, five important themes emerged from the relevant studies.

Purpose This study aims to examine the extant literature to analyze the relationship between quality assurance (QA) and innovation in the higher education context. Design/methodology/approach This study selected 63 articles through a systematic literature review in Scopus and Web of Science databases and performed a descriptive and thematic synthesis-analysis on the sample. Findings The research identifies several perspectives discussed on QA systems covering experiences, criticisms and practice implications. The literature review shows there is no clear consensus on whether innovation in higher education institutions (HEIs) is fostered or hindered by QA processes. However, it seems that the likelihood of innovativeness and positive QA outcomes are directly linked to how these processes are managed in universities. Research limitations/implications This review highlights the university management concerns that emerge with QA issues as it is not yet clear to what extent innovation is actually promoted in scenarios where QA is applied. Hence, this literature review could be considered comprehensive but not exhaustive. Further studies are recommended to improve the understanding of how HEIs can both innovate and ensure quality at the same time. Originality/value The paper contributes to the existing body of knowledge by advancing the opportunities and challenges that HEIs face due to QA system features.
