in spirituality rather than young people. This study aimed to identify the relationship between spiritual behavior and the stress levels of 152 high school students, using a descriptive correlation research design. The data collection techniques involved a spiritual dimension scale questionnaire and the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale 42 (DASS 42). The data were analyzed using Spearman's rho correlation test. The results show that the spiritual behavior distribution was mostly in the moderate category (53.3%), and stress level distribution was primarily in the normal category (63.8%). The finding also revealed that there was no correlation between spiritual behavior and stress levels in high school students. These results may differ from the previous studies. Although stress in this group showed a normal category, their mental health needs to be considered given the amount of stressors adolescents may face.

The COVID-19 pandemic has prompted an unprecedented shift from face-to-face to online learning. Considering the impact of this transition, the researchers developed a scale measuring the stress levels of 319 junior high school students. Based on the evaluation of experts, the item content validity index (I-CVI) proved the validity of each item. From the original 32, 20 items were retained after conducting exploratory factor analysis (EFA). A new clustering was derived from the results, namely: (1) physical health, (2) task management, (3) valuing, and (4) relating to oneself and others. The final 20-item scale was proven to have internal consistency among items with Cronbach’s alpha of 0.923. The results of measurement invariance (MI) tests indicate that the newly developed four-factor stress scale in the context of online learning measure the same underlying constructs across sex, grade level, and age groups. Consequently, the differences in stress levels among the groups were also determined.

This study aimed at investigating the relationship between hours of homework, stress, and mood disturbance in senior high school students, 141 boys and 228 girls, recruited from high schools across Victoria, Australia. Participants' ages ranged from 16 to 18 years ( M = 16.6, SD = .6). A 1-wk. homework diary, a Self-reported Stress scale, and the Profile of Mood States were administered to students. Analysis showed that the number of hours spent completing homework ranged from 10 to 65 hours per week ( M = 37.0, SD = 12.2). Independent samples t-test analyses showed significant sex differences, with female students scoring higher on hours of homework, stress, and mood disturbance compared to male students. Pearson product-moment correlations were significant and positive for hours of homework with stress and for hours of homework with mood disturbance.

Stress is a mental emotional disorder faced by a person due to pressure. Such pressure arises from the failure of individuals to fulfill their needs or wants. The pressure felt by someone can come from within or from outside of themselves. Individuals who experience stress need proper management, so as not to cause further harmful effects. One of the stress management method is by providing 5-finger technique therapy. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the 5-finger technique on the high school students’ stress level in Semarang. This study used a Quasi-Experiment Pretest-Posttest design without a control group. The instrument used was a 5-finger technique therapy worksheet, while the stress level was measured using the DASS-42 (Depression Anxiety Stress Scale). Approximately 90 respondents were chosen through simple random sampling and met the including criteria. The data analysis was conducted by using Mann Whitney statistical test, obtaining p-value <0.05 (0.00) was obtained with a decrease in the respondents’ stress level. The results showed that the 5-finger technique reduced the respondents’ stress level.

This is an initial study tried to develop student sharing websites and integrated by guidelines that have justified their acceptability by authorities and potential users of the device. The research adapted from Borg and Gall's research and development stages. The results of the initial assessment by prospective users (counselors and students) indicate that the web student sharing site and this guidebook reach the acceptance criteria on aspects of accuracy, usability, and attractiveness. However, several features related to improving the website peripherals are the main aspects that are considered for promoting the conclusion of this study in the future. The web student sharing sites as academic stress catharsis media for high school students is fit to be checked more extensively.
