The research purpose was to analysis effect of giving mahkota dewa fruits (Phaleria macrocarpa) extract to epithelialization in incision wound of white rats (Rattus norvegicus). The method was randomized posted-only control group design. There were 30 male rats (Rattus norvegicus) grouped on control and treatment group. Control group divided into three groups (KK1, KK2, KK3) and also treatment group divided into three groups (KP1, KP2, KP3). Control group just given CMC 1% peroral without mahkota dewa fruits extract, the treatment group given mahkota dewa fruits extract 22.5 mg/kg body weight. The data was analyzed by Kruskall Wallis. Based on Kruskall Wallis test, obtained result that there was a significant difference (p<0.05) epithelialization variable with p value p = 0.000 between control and treatment group. And based on One-way Anova test, obtained result that there was a significant difference (p<0.05) with p value p =0.000 between control and treatment group. The conclusion of this research was giving mahkota dewa fruits (Phaleria macrocarpa) extract can increase epithelialization in incision wound of white rats (Rattus norvegicus). Keywords : Mahkota Dewa Fruits (Phaleria Macrocarpa) Extract, Epithelialization, Incision Wound

This research was conducted to find outthe influence of mahkota dewa (Phaleria macrocarpa) pulp extract against the percentage of capacitation and acrosome reaction of male rat (Rattus norvegicus). The experimental animals used are 20 male rats with the average body weight of 200g and were divided into four different groups. P0 group was the control group and given only CMCNa 0.5%. P1, P2,and P3 was given mahkota dewa pulp extract with a dosage of 7.5 mg/200gr BW/ day, 15mg/200gr BW/day,and 30 mg/200gr BW/day respectively through peroral administration for 14 days. The research used Completely Randoized Design (CRD) and the data was then analyzed by one way ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) followed by Duncan test with the significance of 0.5. The results show that the mahkota dewa pulp extract shows significant impact on capacitation and acrosome reaction of rat. P2 group shows the highest percentage capacitation significance the a mean of 30.00 ± 4.24 and 5.60 ± 0.89 for acrosome reaction percentage.  Keywords: Phaleria macrocarpa pulp extrtact; capasitation; acrosome reaction; sperm potention

<p><strong>Background</strong>: Smoking is a bad habit for health. There are many dangerous components inside a cigarette. The smoke that comes out from the cigarette contains many harmful components. Smoking and getting exposed to cigarette smoke in a long period of time can cause inflammatory response on respiratory tract. Mahkota dewa leaf contains beneficial biological component, such as <em>flavonoid</em>, <em>alkaloid</em>, and<em>saponin </em>that have anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, and many others.</p><p><strong>Aim :</strong>The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of administration of mahkota dewa leaf (<em>Phaleria macrocarpa</em>) extract onlung histopathology in white male Wistar rats (<em>Rattus norvegicus</em>) exposed to cigarette smoke.</p><p><strong>Methods : </strong>This research is a true laboratory experimental research using <em>Post-Test Only Control Group Design</em>. The subject in this research were 30 male Wistar Rats (<em>Rattus norvegicus</em>) which were divided into 4 groups, a group without given any treatment (K-), a group where they only getting exposed to cigarette smoke (K+), a group where they exposed to cigarette smoke and given mahkota dewa leaf extract at 1500 mg/kgBW/day dose (Eg1), and the group exposed to cigarette smoke and a mahkota dewa leaf extract at a 2500 mg/kgBW/day dose (Eg2).</p><p><strong>Result            : </strong>1.) There was a significant difference on lung histopathology between K- and K+, Eg1, and Eg2. 2.) There was no significant difference on lung histopathology between K+, Eg1 and Eg2.</p><p><strong>Conclusion : </strong>Exposure to 5 cigarette smoke in 21 days caused lung histopathology changes. However, there was no effect of the administration of mahkota dewa leaves extract at 1500 mg/kgBW/day and 2500 mg/kgBW/day on lung histopathology of white male Wistar rats exposed to 5 cigarette smoke in 21 days.</p><p><strong>Keyword : </strong><em>Phaleria macrocarpa leaf, </em>Flavonoid, Alkaloid, cigarette smoke, inflammatory response, Infiltration of Inflammatory cells.</p>

Overtraining syndrome is a decrease in physical capacity, emotions and immunity due to training that is too often without adequate periods of rest. Overtraining is often experienced by athletes who daily undergo heavy training with short break periods. This research aims to look at the effect of overtraining aerobic physical exercise on memory in mice. The research method was experimental in vivo with the subject of adult male rat (Rattus Norvegicus) Winstar strain aged 8-10 weeks, body weight 200-250 gr. Divided into three groups, namely the control group, aerobic group and overtraining group. The results of memory tests with water E Maze showed an increase in the duration of travel time and the number of animal errors made by the overtraining group (p = 0.003). This study concludes that overtraining aerobic physical exercise can reduce memory in rat hippocampus.
