This study assessed the performance of student organizations of the Lyceum of the Philippines University in terms of organization’s objectives, operations, and outputs/achievements, and to determine how student organizations contributed to the development of the institutional goals. Participants of study were the active members and the advisers of all recognized student organizations for the school year 2006-2010. The research used the descriptive method of research with triangular approach where empirical data was supported with qualitative analysis and interviews with student organization members and advisers. The data were treated using weighted mean, ranking and t-test. Results revealed that LPU student organizations provide activities which contribute to the academic, socio-cultural, cognitive and personal development of the students, thus, student organizations play an important role in attaining the identified institutional goals. A student organization development program is proposed which focused on the organizational needs and assessment to help realize institutional goals.   Keywords - student organization, institutional goals

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is three. First, describing the reading skills of anecdotal text students XI MA Negeri 3 Padang. Secondly, it describes the writing skills of anecdotal text students XI MA Negeri 3 Padang. Third, describing the contribution of reading skills of anecdotal text to the writing skills of anecdotal text students XI MA Negeri 3 Padang. This type of research is quantitative by a descriptive method. The design used in this study is design contributions. The population of this study is the XI MA Negeri 3 class students enrolled in the 2018/2019 school year, with 250 students. The samples in this study were determined by simple random sampling 25% of the population, which is 61 students. This research Data in the form of scores of test skills reads the understanding of anecdotal text and scores test results of anecdotal text. The Data is obtained through two types of tests i.e. objective tests to measure the reading skills of anecdotal text and test performance to measure anecdotal text writing skills. The results of this study were three. First, the reading skills of understanding anecdotal text students XI MA Negeri 3 Padang are in good qualification (B) with an average value of 85.09. Secondly, the writing skills of anecdote-class students XI MA Negeri 3 Padang are on a good qualifying (BS) with an average of 86.13. Thirdly, there is a contribution of the reading skills of anecdotal text to the writing skills of anecdotal text students XI MA Negeri 3 Padang amounted to 17.56%. Kata Kunci:Kontribusi, Keterampilan, Membaca Pemahaman, Menulis, Teks Anekdot

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research there are three. First, describe vocabulary mastery Class VII students of SMP Negeri Padang 16. Second, it describes the text of the story of fantasy writing skills grade VII JUNIOR Country 16. Third, vocabulary mastery with correlation describes writing skills text story fantasy grade VII SMP Negeri Padang. 16.  This research type is quantitative descriptive method. The design used in this research is the design korelasional. This research population is grade VII SMP Negeri Padang 16. listed on the 2018/2019 school year, that is 284 students. The sample in this research are determined by proportional random sampling of 20% of the population, i.e. 50 students. Research data is a score test results and score vocabulary mastery test results writing skills text story fantasy. Research instrument is an objective test to measure mastery of vocabulary news and performance tests to measure the writing skills text story fantasy. Based on the results of such research, it can be inferred that the skills of listening text news is correlated with writing skills text news. The better mastery of the vocabulary the better news will also enhance the story text writing skills. Kata kunci: Korelasi, Kosakata, Menulis Teks Cerita Fantasi

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is three. First, describe the reading skills of the text apresitif fable grade VII SMP Negeri 30 Padang. Second, describing the writing skills of text fable grade VII students SMP Negeri 30 Padang. Thirdly, describing the contribution of fable text apreciprocative reading skills to text writing skills Fable class VII SMP Negeri 30 Padang.  This type of research is quantitative by a descriptive method. The design used in this study is design contributions. The population of this study is class VII junior high School 30 Padang registered in the school year 2018/2019, which is as many as 254 students. The samples in this study were determined by proportional random sampling of 20% of the population, which is 56 students. This research Data is in the form of scores of test skills read Fable text appreciative and score test results of text writing fable. The results of this study were three. First, the skill of reading a text apresiative fable grade VII students SMP Negeri 30 Padang is in good qualification (B) with an average value of 74.19. Secondly, the writing skills of text fable grade VII students SMP Negeri 30 Padang are in good qualification (B) with an average of 76.64. Thirdly, there is a contribution of reading skills fable text appreciative to the writing skills of text fable grade VII students SMP Negeri 30 Padang amounted to 51.4%. Kata Kunci: Kontribusi, Keterampilan Membaca Apresiatif, Keterampilan Menulis Teks Fabel

This research aims to find out the students’ attitude toward English classroom environment especially English teacher, English material and English classroom management. This research used descriptive method to find out the students attitude toward English teacher, English material and English classroom management.The population of this research was the ninth year students of SMP Kartika Banjarmasin which consists of two classes so the totalis 67 students. The instrument of the research was questionnaire by using mean score to find out the mean score of them.The result of the data analysis of the questionnaire indicated that the students have positive attitude toward English teacher (59.80), the students have positive attitude toward English material (59) and the students have positive attitude toward English classroom management (55.92).Based on the result, some suggestions are proposed: (1)Generally, the student's attitude toward English classroom environment is positive but there are still some students have neutral attitude so that its suggested to English teacher at the SMP Kartika Banjarmasin in order to learn more skills and pay attention to the classroom environment’s factor and he should be creative in teaching English so that the students can be motivated in learning English (2) To the students, they should make English as interesting subject so that it can give benefit to the future.

As popular music education programs become more common, it is essential to determine what kinds of professional development experiences that are designed to help teachers include popular music into their music education classrooms are effective—keeping in mind that the inclusion of popular music in K–12 classrooms requires a change not only in instrumentation and repertoire but also pedagogical approaches. This study examined the effects of a popular music professional development initiative on more than 600 New York City urban music teachers’ musicianship, their pedagogy, and their leadership skills throughout one school year. Results revealed increases in all three areas, most notably in teachers’ musicianship. The study also showed an increase in teachers’ positive perceptions about their music programs, specifically, their level of excitement about the state of their music program and that their music program was more effective at meeting their students’ needs than it had been previously.

The Relationship

Tests in schools can be informative. However, the Department of Education administered a set of examinations like the National Achievement Test which is designed to determine the learner's achievement level, strengths, and weaknesses in five curricular subject areas at the end of the school year. The study intended to look into the relationship between academic performance in Mathematics and NAT results. There has been a purposive universal sampling design. It is purposive because the research is only studying the academic performance in Mathematics, and universal because the subjects of the study are all the grade six pupils of Victoriano D. Tirol Advanced Learning Center for four consecutive school years. Documentary analysis was used as to the data of existing records on the academic performance and National Achievement Test results in Mathematics. The association between academic achievement and NAT outcomes in Mathematics was investigated using correlation analysis and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). The analyses revealed that there is a significant correlation between the pupil's academic performance and NAT results. Also, there is a significant degree of variance in the student's performance as to National Achievement Test Results in four consecutive school years.

The study was conducted aimed at knowing the role of competencies, namely knowledge, skills and self-concept in improving the performance of employees of PT. Summit Oto Finance, with a sample of 54 people . The method used in this study using questionnaires, interviews and documentation. Research approach by using quantitative descriptive method by analyzing Multiple Linear Regression to measure the performance of employees of PT. Summit Oto Finance. The results of this study simultaneously independent competency variables consisting of knowledge, skills and self-concept have a positive and significant influence on the dependent variable,namely employee performance. From the test results the correlation of the influence of competencies on employee performance is 94.1 percent while 5.9 percent is influenced by other factors. Dominant competencies affect the performance of employees of PT. Summit Oto Finance is a skill.

ABSTRAK Latar Belakang :  IMD sangat bermanfaat bukan hanya bagi bayi yang baru lahir tetapi juga bagi ibu yang melakukan IMD. Jika bayi berada dalam dekapan ibu, maka bayi tersebut dengan sendirinya merangkak ke payudara ibu dan akan mulai menghisap puting susu ibunya. Data menunjukkan bahwa di Indonesia, persentase pemberian Air Susu Ibu (ASI) dalam 1 jam pertama setelah bayi dilahirkan masih rendah yaitu sebesar 38%. Angka tersebut masih jauh tertinggal bila dibandingkan dengan negara-negara berkembang lainnya seperti Oman (85%), Srilangka (75%), Filipina (54%), dan Turki (54%)(SDKI 2017). Oleh karena itu tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk Mengetahui faktor yang mempengaruhi penerapan inisiasi menyusu dini di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Jumpandang Baru Makassar tahun 2018..Jenis penelitian ini: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain case control study. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah semua ibu yang melahirkan di Wilayah kerja Puskesmas Jumpandang Baru. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan Consecutive Sampling yaitu dengan perbandingan 1 : 2 yang dibutuhkan adalah 30 kasus dan 60 kontrol.. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan lembaran kuesioner. Data dianalisis secara univariat, bivariat dan multivariat dengan menggunakan uji Regresi Berganda LogistikHasil penelitian : Ada pengaruh pengetahuan ( OR = 5,5), peran bidan/penolong persalinan (OR = 12,571), dukungan dari suami ( OR = 3,3) terhadap penerapan inisiasi menyusu dini dan Hasil uji multivariat menunjukkan bahwa variabel peran bidan/penolong persalinan merupakan faktor yang paling berpengaruh terhadap penerapan inisiasi menyusu dini dengan nilai Wald sebesar 13 dan signifikansi sebesar 0,010.Kesimpulan : Terdapat pengaruh pengetahuan, peran bidan/penolong persalinan , dukungan dari suami terhadap penerapan inisiasi menyusu dini, dan variable peran bidan/penolong persalinan yang paling berpengaruh terhadap penerapan inisiasi menyusu dini. Kata Kunci: Penerapan Inisiasi Menyusu DiniABSTRACT Background: IMD is very beneficial not only for newborns but also for mothers who do IMD. If the baby is in the mother's arms, the baby naturally crawls into the mother's breast and will start sucking her mother's nipples. Data shows that in Indonesia, the percentage of breastfeeding in the first 1 hour after the baby is born is still low at 38%. This figure is far behind when compared to other developing countries such as Oman (85%), Sri Lanka (75%), the Philippines (54%), and Turkey (54%) (IDHS 2017) . Therefore the purpose of the research This is to find out the factors that influence the application of early breastfeeding initiation in the working area of the Jumpandang Baru Makassar Health Center in 2018 ..Type of research: This study uses a case control study design. The population in this study were all mothers who gave birth in the Working Area of the Jumpandang Baru Health Center. Sampling was done by Consecutive Sampling, which is a ratio of 1: 2. It takes 30 cases and 60 controls. Data collection is done using a questionnaire sheet. Data were analyzed by univariate, bivariate and multivariate using the Multiple Logistic Regression testResults: There was influence of knowledge (OR = 5,5), role of midwife / birth attendant (OR = 13), support from husband (OR = 3,3) on the application of early breastfeeding initiation and multivariate test results showed that the role of midwives / birth attendants was a factor the most influential on the application of early breastfeeding initiation with a Wald value of 12,956 and a significance of 0.010.Conclusion: There is an influence of knowledge, the role of midwives / birth attendants, support from husbands on the application of early breastfeeding initiation, and the role variables of midwives / birth attendants who most influence the application of early breastfeeding initiation. Keywords: Application of Early Breastfeeding Initiation

This research is motivated by the low mathematical representation ability of students in solving mathematical problem solving questions based on TIMSS data and facts in the field. The study aims to analyze the mathematical representation ability of MTsN Batusangkar students visually, verbally and symbolically in solving mathematical problem solving problems. This field research uses descriptive method. The instrument used is a description question and interview guide. Quantitative data based on test results were analyzed to determine the predicate of mathematical representation ability, while Miles and Huberman model wwas used to analyze qualitative data from interviews. The results show that students' mathematical visual and symbolic abilities are satisfactory, while verbal mathematical representations are less satisfactory.

AbstractTalaud Islands Regency includes maritime territory, 94.6% of which is waters directly adjacent to the Philippines and holds a variety of high economic living resources. In North Sulawesi Provincial Regulation Numbered 1/2017, article 12 concerning Zoning Plan of Coastal Zone and Small Islands of North Sulawesi Province 2017-2037, Talaud Islands Regency is designated as Integrated Marine and Fisheries Center Location of Talaud. It is located in Salibabu district, where Regional Regulation of Spatial Plan Numbered 1/2014 concerning Spatial Plan of Talaud Islands Regency for 2014-2034, Salibabu District is prioritized for Fishing Fisheries Regional Development and Management since its unutilized fisheries potential is still about 23,104 tons/year. In 2017, Salibabu district occupies the highest order for total fisheries production in Talaud Islands District. It was 702.3 tons or 11.79% of that in Talaud Islands Regency, 46.23% of which were gained from purse seines. Majority of the purse seine fishermen are those whose main livelihoods are fishermen and do not have other jobs. Fishing community is, in general, a relatively lagging community group socially, economically and culturally when compared with other community groups. The purse seine fishermen community in Salibabu district, in fact, still has mean income far below the minimum wage of Kabupaten Talaud, IDR. 1,500,000, -. The purse seine fisherman community in Salibabu district is still chained with poverty and backwardness. Therefore, there are needs for external intervention as an incentive to empower them in order to get out of the situation. This study used descriptive method, a method of studying the recent status of human groups, an object, a set of condition, a system of thinking or a class of events. Data collection consisted of primary and secondary data. It was done through in-depth interviews, filling questionnaires and literature studies. Respondents were purse seine fishermen communities in Salibabu district. Data analysis used descriptive method to know the socio-economic life of the communities and income formula to analyze the income level of fishermen purse seine. Results showed that mean net income in Salibabu district was approximately IDR 86,784,000/year for the purse seine owner and IDR.10,608,840/year for fishing crews, respectively, with main catches of skipjack tuna, mackerels, and scads. Dalam Peraturan Daerah Provinsi Sulawesi Utara No. 1 tahun 2017 pasal 12 tentang Rencana Zonasi Wilayah Pesisir dan Pulau-Pulau Kecil Provinsi Sulawesi Utara tahun 2017-2037, Kabupaten Kepulauan Talaud ditetapkan sebagai lokasi Sentra Kelautan dan Perikanan Terpadu. Lokasi tersebut terletak di Kecamatan Salibabu, dimana pada Perda RTRW (Rencana Tata Ruang Wilayah) No. 1 Tahun 2014 tentang Rencana Tata Ruang Wilayah Kab. Kepulauan Talaud Tahun 2014-2034, Kecamatan Salibabu diprioritaskan untuk Pengembangan dan Pengelolaan Kawasan Perikanan Tangkap karena potensi perikanan yang belum termanfaatkan ± 23.104 Ton/Tahun. Tahun 2017, Kecamatan Salibabu menempati urutan tertinggi untuk total produksi perikanan di Kabupaten Kepulauan Talaud. Total produksi perikanan Kecamatan Salibabu sebesar 702,3 ton atau 11,79 % dari keseluruhan produksi perikanan di Kabupaten Talaud. Dari total produksi tesebut 46,23 merupakan hasil produksi usaha soma pajeko. Mayoritas nelayan soma pajeko merupakan nelayan penuh yang mata pencaharian utamanya sebagai nelayan dan tidak memiliki pekerjaan lain. Masyarakat nelayan pada umumnya merupakan kelompok masyarakat yang relatif tertinggal secara sosial, ekonomi dan budaya bila dibandingkan dengan kelompok masyarakat lainnya. Demikian juga berlaku untuk masyarakat nelayan soma pajeko di Kecamatan Salibabu dimana penghasilan nelayan dibawah upah minimum Kabupaten kepulauan Talaud sebesar Rp. 1.500.000,-. Masyarkat nelayan soma pajeko di Kecamatan Salibabu masih terbelenggu oleh kemiskinan. Oleh karena itu dengan maksud bisa keluar dari kondisi tersebut perlu ada intervensi ekternal sebagai suatu dorongan untuk memberdayakan mereka.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif, yaitu suatu metode dalam meneliti sekelompok manusia, suatu objek, suatu set kondisi, suatu system pemikiran ataupun suatu kelas peristiwa pada masa sekarang. Jenis data yang dikumpulkan terdiri dari data primer dan data sekunder. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara secara mendalam terhadap responden, pengisian kuesioner dan studi kepustakaan. Responden terdiri dari masyarakat nelayan soma pajeko di Kecamatan Salibabu. Analisis data menggunakan metode deskriptif untuk mengetahui kehidupan sosial ekonomi masyarakat dan analisis mengunakan rumus pendapatan digunakan untuk menganalisis tingkat pendapatan masyarakat nelayan soma pajeko.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendapatan bersih juragan soma pajeko di Kecamatan Salibabu rata- rata berkisar Rp86.784.000,-/tahun dan Rp. 10.608.840,-/tahun untuk pendapatan bersih masanae dengan hasil tangkapan utama berupa ikan Cakalang, Ikan Layang dan Ikan Tongkol.Kata kunci: Nelayan Soma Pajeko , Kecamatan Salibabu dan Tingkat Pendapatan
