This research has the objective of knowing and testing mudharabah and musyarakah financing whether or not there is an effect on net income at PT Bank BRI Syariah in 2018-2020. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method using secondary data derived from financial reports in the form of mudharabah financing data, musyarakah financing and net profit after tax from 2018 to 2020. This research uses an analytical tool, namely multiple linear regression. The SPSS 23.0 application was used to test the data in this study. Mudharabah and musyarakah financing based on the results of data analysis show that the net income together has a significant effect. This data analysis test shows that mudharabah financing on net income does not have a significant effect, meaning that if there is an increase or decrease in mudharabah financing, it will not affect the bank's net profit. Otherwise, musyarakah financing has a significant and positive effect on net income, meaning that the greater the income earned through musyarakah financing, the higher the Bank's net profit.

Corruption still subsists as one of the greatest challenges facing Nigeria. The existence of this phenomenon in virtually all aspects of the nation’s socio-economic life is said to be one reason why poverty level remains high irrespective of her position as the six highest suppliers of oil to the whole wide world, and a possessor of numerous other human and natural resources. A recent attempt by the Federal Government of Nigeria to curb this societal ill led to the establishment of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Independent Corrupt Practices & Related Offences Commission (ICPC) among others bodies. This paper historically explores the anti-corruption war in Nigeria and specifically zeros itself to review EFCC’s role in this war. The methodology adopted in this paper is the narrative-textual case study (NTCS), a research method that sources the required quantitative and qualitative secondary data on the phenomenon of study from secondary sources like the internet, World Wide Web, online databases, e-libraries  et cetera. On the strength of the qualitative data sourced, it was discovered that the agency has made some successes but is being hindered by political, administrative and judicial bureaucracy from efficient performance. The paper therefore boldly recommends that transparency be enshrined into all aspect Nigerian political and administrative life and extant anti-graft laws be reviewed, harmonized and strengthened to enhance the effectiveness of fight against corruption and breach of corporate governance ethics by those holding political and non-political positions in Nigeria.

This paper analyzes the impact of economic and social variables on fiscal independence of district government in Province of North Sulawesi.  Scope of research includes all districts in  2009-2012. To analyze secondary data, we utilize the Pooled EGLS (Cross-section random effects) method. This research not only use secondary data, but also primary data. The primary data are used to get deep picture about factors that lower fiscal dependence of districts in North Sulawesi. Those data are collected by interview to parties related to generate own resource revenues and by focus discussion group with academicians. This research finds that economic development and population in districts of North Sulawesi do not affect on fiscal independence. Otherwise, only variable human development index has significantly positive effect on fiscal independence. These findings are supported by primary data which show that: (1) most activities of dominant economic factor of those districts, except Manado and Bitung, namely agriculture, are not tax or surcharge objects; (2) types of local government tax have small tax base for districts and varies between dictricts that have big cities and small cities; (3) low of human resource capacity and creativity to generate own source revenues effectively and efficiently; and (4) low of taxpayers compliance.
