Transition is a type of barrier that connects other barriers with different grades and shapes. Even if each barrier satisfies the performance, it may not be satisfied in transition. Therefore, collision safety requires a special design and examination. In this study, we investigated national and foreign standards and situations for the proper configuration of the transition and analyzed the impact behavior of the general transition using impact simulations. We developed a transition system that could ensure the stable performance of various grades by analyzing the behavior and confirmed based on the full-scale crash test (SB2 level).

Abstract In the onshore drilling operation the main objective is always finding ways to optimize cost and improve the efficiency of drilling operations. Among the various available option, one possibility was to drill 17.5" deviated section in one run through the interbedded formation, which cause high vibrations and risk of twist-off. This section previously was drilled with minimum 2-3 bit runs for a heavy casing design. This would definitely reduce the well duration and cost. The plan involved to drill 17.5" deviated section using rotary steerable system using hybrid bit technology. Recent advances in drilling bit design has proved to be very effective in drilling surface hole sections but are limited to drill vertical holes and require multiple runs to complete a section. Special design and cutting structure is required when it comes to drill deviated hole. One supplier has combined the traditional design and come up with hybrid bit structure to achieve this goal of drilling surface deviated hole in one run. This special hybrid bit, drilled successfully 17.5" deviated section in one run with enhanced ROP by 40% compared to previous wells. This saved additional trips to change bit and avoided any stuck pipe and twist off. This kind of strategy has helped to maximize average ROP of 64 ft/hr for the entire section. The main element in optimizing the performance of is the systematic approach towards the bit selection, hydraulics and mud parameters. Outcome of this optimization resulted in case history data which shows that this kind of hybrid bit technology can be used to drill deviated wellbore with better penetration rates, lesser washouts and longer on-bottom time. This technical paper describes the results of first well drilled by a service provider using hybrid bit technology with rotary steerable system in one run. This has resulted in increasing the rate of penetration for the 17.5" deviated top hole section. Applying this kind of hybrid bit technology has not only enhanced the ROP but also helped to save rig days and cost.

Abstract Electrodeposition of niobium coatings on spherical substrates for a cryogyroscope rotor made of carbopyroceram was considered. A special design of the installation for obtaining coatings on spherical samples was created. The coatings were applied at a temperature of 750°C with the cathodic current density of 5·10−3 - 2–10−2 A·cm−2 and the electrolysis time of 8-12 h. It was found that the use of a cathodic current density of 2·10−2 A·cm−2 and higher is impractical, because there is a roughening of the coatings surface. The composition of electrolytic coatings was identified by XRD analysis. The macrostructure of niobium coatings was studied using electron microscopy. The concentration of metallic impurities in the niobium coatings was defined by spectral quantitative analysis. The content of gas impurities was determined by gas chromatography. The roughness, nonsphericity, and superconductive properties of niobium coatings were investigated.

The goal of this investigation is connected with wishes to use the melanin for formulating the solid polymer electrolyte without the binder for Li batteries. Nature and properties of solid polymer electrolyte of the Li batteries is an important factor for ensuring the properties of Li batteries. For successful optimization the properties of Li batteries the following list includes the important requirements for the polymer electrolyte: high conductivity in wide operating temperature, chemical stability and no ignition at under high temperature - even more than 1000C, low impedance of interface between electrode and solid polymer electrolyte, special design of system - the solid polymer electrolyte in porous structure of electrode. For developing the solid polymer electrolyte without the binder we fulfill this goal includes the melanin in the solid polymer electrolyte.

Abstract The article is devoted to the calculation of the parameters of the air flow cooling process and the determination of the geometrical dimensions of a model of a gas-jet apparatus of a special design with a gas flow bifurcation (GASK). The article discusses the device and the principle of operation of the GASK, calculates the dependences of temperature on the pressure drop, gas flow rate on the gas pressure ratio. The calculated parameters of the process under consideration and the geometric dimensions of the GASK are given.

Aim: Justification of the technical feasibility of using string spans made of polymer composite materials for maglev transport systems. Methods: Computational and theoretical methods of research. Results: It is shown that by stretching the string and applying special design solutions, it is possible to create a close to" ideal" profile of the track structure for the maglev ovement. At the same time, it is preferable to use polymer composites as the string material, which allow for less sagging than metal ones at the same level of string tension. Conclusion: The alternative to traditional reinforced concrete or metal structures of string composite superstructures is justified.

The authors of the article touch on the major topic of ensuring access of persons with disabilities to facilities and services, which is an indicator of guaranteeing the rights and freedoms of such citizens and ultimately determines the quality of life of such people. The article analyzes the current Ukrainian legislation, as well as international legal acts governing relations regarding access of persons with disabilities to the general infrastructure. The methodology of the article includes methods of analysis, synthesis, formal-legal and comparative-legal methods. The essence of the right of persons with disabilities to access facilities and services is the legally guaranteed possibility of these persons to freely use all facilities and services without any barriers, including through the adaptation of the latter or their special design. The authors of the article thoroughly researched the concept and content of the right of persons with disabilities to access facilities and services. Finally, the authors concluded that the current domestic legislation, although ensuring the minimum level of rights of persons with disabilities in the study area but needs to be improved taking into account the positive experience of European countries and following the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

This study aims to overcome what is experienced by blind children and to invite blind children to take part in playing and not forgetting to put forward special design aesthetics for blind children. The results found result from primary data collection from observations of the daily activities of the subject and interviews with the subject, teacher, and subject's parents and secondary data got from literacy results from related research sources. The research subjects were taken from students of SDLB-A YPAB SURABAYA. The research method used is design thinking by approaching the subject. In the ultimate result, an innovative traditional snake and ladder game was found which was changed in such a way as to be accessible so that it was more friendly for blind children to use.
