A multivalued version of the Ivanov inequality for the lower estimate of topological entropy of admissible maps is applied to differential inclusions with multivalued impulses on tori via the associated Poincaré translation operators along their trajectories. The topological chaos in the sense of a positive topological entropy is established in terms of the asymptotic Nielsen numbers of the impulsive maps being greater than 1. This condition implies at the same time the existence of subharmonic periodic solutions with infinitely many variety of periods. Under a similar condition, the coexistence of subharmonic periodic solutions of all natural orders is also carried out.

Abstract Although the Latin-based orthographies of most Western languages employ vowels with accent marks (e.g., é vs. e), extant models of letter and word recognition are agnostic as to whether these accented letters and their non-accented counterparts are represented by common or separate abstract units. Recent research in French with a masked priming alphabetic decision task was interpreted as favoring the idea that accented and non-accented vowels are represented by separate abstract orthographic units (orthographic account: é↛e and e↛é; Chetail & Boursain, 2019). However, a more parsimonious explanation is that salient (accented) vowels are less perceptually similar to non-salient (non-accented) vowels than vice versa (perceptual account: e→é, but é↛e; Perea et al., 2021a; Tversky, 1977). To adjudicate between the two accounts, we conducted a masked priming alphabetic decision experiment in Catalan, a language with a complex orthography-to-phonology mapping for non-accented vowels (e.g., e→/e/, /ə/, /ε/). Results showed faster responses in the identity than in the visually similar condition for accented targets (é–É < e–É), but not for non-accented targets (e–E = é–E). Neither of the above accounts can fully capture this pattern. We propose an explanation based on the rapid activation of both orthographic and phonological codes.

Abstract This article sketches a short history of the Covid-19 passport by examining its earlier iterations, including the “sanitary passport” (passeport sanitaire), an epidemiological tool officially introduced on the global stage by the French delegation during the 1893 International Sanitary Conference in Dresden. The sanitary passport shares with the Covid-19 passport two features. First, a similar aim, that of controlling the movement of potentially infected individuals across borders. Second, a similar condition of possibility, that of being the product of a pandemic crisis. The article identifies key characteristics as well as departures with the reinvention of the Covid-19 vaccine or immunity passport. The paper also situates the birth of the sanitary passport within a security context of increasing use of national passports as a means for the continuous surveillance of criminals and vagabonds as well as a scientific context marked by a key mutation: the birth of the immunized self.

Urticaria is an allergic reaction of the skin to a variety of exogenous and endogenous antigens. It is a common disease nowadays, characterized by pale red rashes and severe itching caused by an allergic reaction. Vascular dilatation, the resultant dermal oedema and pruritis are due to the releases of histamine and other mediators from mast cells. Ayurvedic classics mentioned this similar condition as shitpitta, among twakroga which is vaatpradhan tridosha in nature. Symptoms mentioned by aacharyas are shotha, toda, kandu and daha. Even after the availability of newer medicine, there is a lack of promising results against this ailment. Moreover, the use of drugs like antihistamines and corticosteroids lead to various side effects. The study aims to evaluate the effect of ayurvedic treatment in the management of shitpitta with special reference to urticaria. This study deals with a case of chronic urticaria, where a male patient was given an ayurvedic therapy which included shodhan-shamanaushadi and sthanik treatment on an OPD basis for 3 months. Criteria’s like shotha, toda, kandu and daha were assessed before and after the treatment & significant result was found. The conclusion was drawn that given ayurvedic therapy was found to be significantly effective in the management of urticaria. Keywords: Shitpitta, Twakroga, Urticaria, Shodhan, Shamana

Among many discussions on effective response strategies during oil spill response operations at sea, this paper elaborates comprehensive information on oil spill combat strategy and lesson learnt from Balikpapan Spill incident. The author tries to shown the effectiveness of assessment and surveillance prior to oil spill response operation, oil spill response strategies and monitoring after oil spill response operation. The paper point out strategies used by OSCT Indonesia as National Oil Spill Response Organization on responding the oil spill incident. Focusing on taking tactical response according to experience gained from previous oil spill incident, the paper also mentions the importance of unified command between local authorities and company for easier coordination. Other than strategies and effective response, wildlife response become one of the difficulties faced onsite the field due to diverse wildlife and lack of wildlife response knowledge and trained experts. Learn from this recent oil spill experience, may enrich the knowledge on responding to such oil spill incident at similar condition and area.

Background Young people with genetic conditions often face challenges coping with their health condition. It can be difficult for them to meet someone with a similar condition, which is important for reinforcement of chronic illness management recommendations. Social media is used by 97% of young people in the United States and may provide those with these disorders a space for emotional expression and support. However, there is a scarcity of literature related to the use of social media among adolescents with genetic conditions as an indicator of their perception regarding their own condition. Objective The purpose of this pilot study was to obtain preliminary data to assess and understand social media use by young people with connective tissue disorders and determine whether they use social media to connect with patients with similar conditions or whether they would be interested in doing so. Methods We undertook a pilot study of selected connective tissue disorders occurring in young people between the ages of 11 and 25 years, including Marfan syndrome; Ehlers-Danlos syndrome subtypes classical, classical-like, cardiac-valvular, and vascular; Beals congenital contractual arachnodactyly; and Alport hereditary nephritis. The study took place within one pediatric clinical system. Patients were identified through electronic medical record search and International Classification of Diseases, Ninth Revision, coding at a Midwest university–based clinical system. Study subjects completed a short survey describing their experiences with their connective tissue disorders, their means of self-expression, their existing network of persons to communicate with, and their use of social media. Data analysis included nominal and bivariate regressions to compare social media use in relation to age. Results Our 31 participants (42% response rate) were 55% female (17/31) and their average age was 18 years (SD 5). All participants used social media and there were no statistically significant differences between social media use and age. The majority of participants (25/30, 83%) reported that they never used social media to discuss their condition (P=.09), and only 17% (5/30) knew someone online with a similar condition (P=.50). Most participants (19/30, 63%) said they would communicate with someone with a similar disorder (P=.64). Conclusions We found that young individuals with connective tissue disorders use at least one type of social media. A majority did not use social media to discuss their condition or know someone online with a similar condition. However, many persons were interested in finding others similarly affected. Social media could serve as a platform for young people with connective tissue disorders to connect. Peer support is important in disease management and adolescent development. Future studies should aim at understanding social media use among young people with connective tissue disorders and helping them connect with other people who have similar conditions.

Let [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] be two finite dimensional algebras over a field [Formula: see text], such that [Formula: see text] is a split extension of A by the nilpotent bimodule [Formula: see text]. We mainly give necessary and sufficient conditions for a tilting pair [Formula: see text] such that [Formula: see text] or [Formula: see text] are tilting pairs. Also, we obtain a similar condition such that a Wakamatsu tilting pair [Formula: see text] in [Formula: see text]-mod can be a Wakamatsu tilting pair [Formula: see text] in [Formula: see text]-mod.

In the Pandemic of COVID-19, the Whole world is severely affected in many areas, including the health sector. Ayurveda being a holistic science also explains similar condition thousand years back with their aetiology, sign and symptoms and effective management. Such communicable diseases are described under headings such as Janapadodhwansa, Aupasargicvyadhi etc. with their effective management such as Rejuvenation (Rasayana) therapy, Panchakarma procedures, following codes of right conducts (SadvritaaPalan, AacharRasayana). Till date, there is no established protocol for the management of COVID- 19 like disorders, the only option left with us is a preventive aspect, and that is the first aim of Ayurveda. To make body and mind healthy and capable of fighting against any disease, is possible by following principles of Ayurveda. AacharaRasayana is advised for the same purpose, which is a code of conduct aimed in providing excellent mental, physical, social and spiritual health without having any medicine. Due to the change in lifestyle and not following the codes of conduct, we are becoming more prone to various diseases. Therefore, it must be implemented in the community to obtain the full span of life without disease. This article explains the Ayurvedic view ofAacharRasayana as a Preventive aspect in COVID- 19 like diseases.

Most of raptor species rehabilitated for conservation purpose at WRC Jogja are eagles. Annually, we perform general raptor examination involving conventional routine hematologic examination. However, low sample quality and over dense blood cell population during total erythrocyte and leukocyte counting were deemed as obstacles. This study aimed to give wider insight in how total erythrocyte and leukocyte counting was performed at WRC Jogja to overcome those obstacles. Firstly, handling and restraint were done physically adapting the Aba method. One-to-two half millilitres of blood was collected from the ulnar vein using 3-ml-syringe with 24-gauge-needle which was then preserved in an EDTA-containing tube and proceeded to subsequent method no more than 3 hours after collection. No hypovolemic shock was observed. During total erythrocyte and leukocyte counting using Neubauer-ruled counting chamber, we modified the dilution factor to be 250-fold and 50-fold respectively. This method yielded a countable cell density and can be applied in other species in similar condition.

Introduction: SARS-CoV-2 infection is spreading worldwide, and due to multi-organ involvement, it could mimic other well-known diseases. Case Presentation: Herein, we describe the case of a pediatric patient with acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL), who developed severe respiratory illness with diffuse pulmonary involvement after consuming all-transretinoic acid during the COVID-19 pandemic. Conclusions: All-transretinoic acid syndrome is a very similar condition to COVID-19 both in clinical presentations and radiologic findings; thus, the treatment of such patients may be challenging.
