The use of humor by teachers can have a positive effect on improving the level of academic self concept and implicitly on motivation and academic results. The present research aimed to investigate to what extent the humor styles practiced by teachers influence the level of academic self-concept (ASC) of students. A number of 117 students who were enrolled in the master's programs in the field of public administration within the Faculty of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences (FSPAC), Babeș-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca answered a questionnaire. Our research shows that there is a link between the humor styles practiced by teachers and the level of ASC of students. Also, the findings indicate that the use of humor in the educational process can play a greate role, namely it can increase or decrease the level of ASC among students. In this sense, although the influence of students' humor styles on the ASC level of students is relatively weak, the connection is still significant.

Research at the University of New South Wales with Defence Force Academy students found timemanagement skills significantly improve the academic results of male students but not female students when controlling for the usual effect of prior academic ability. While much previous research has revealed a positive link between time management and academic results within civilian environments, there is a lack of research on this link in dual-military or employment and academic settings. Our research also extends on many national and international studies’ by researching the efficacy of a direct training intervention in time-management skills. The study is unique in evaluating the size of the likely effect on academic results. This study used a mixed-methods evaluation design and a standardised questionnaire to compare two groups of 70 first-year undergraduate students. The experimental group were taught time-management skills in a workshop setting, while a control group did not attend time-management workshops. While the time-management workshop interventions did not improve the academic performance of female students, female students did benefit comparably to males in fewer subject failings and improved attitudes towards time-management attributes. The findings confirm an effect between time-management skills and academic success that offers substantial savings from fewer lost students. Recommendations are made to improve time-management skills and academic performance for all transitioning university students and examine if this significant effect translates to other initial training employment.

Part-time student work are currently seen as a source of concern. Part-time jobs for students have some advantages, but they also have some drawbacks, which is one of the factors affecting HUFI students' learning. The effects of HUFI students working part-time are the subject of this research topic. The students responded in droves to the survey on the prepared form, yielding nearly 100 responses. Analyze the advantages and drawbacks based on those 100 responses. At the same time, provide clear evidence that the average performance of students over the previous year, the amount of time spent on part-time jobs, and the types of jobs that students HUFI participants have are scrutinized to see whether there is a connection between part-time jobs and academic results. The findings of this study reveal some positive factors, such as students being more self-sufficient, relying less on family, and assisting them in their growth. Furthermore, it is negatively impacted when students work harder and neglect their studies, resulting in low grades. However, as opposed to students who do not have a part-time job, many HUFI students manage to balance their studies and graduate on time.

The article provides a brief literary review of some concepts, which are more characteristic for the psychological sciences, but have adequate application in pedagogical practice. This is the „Pygmalion effect“, which means that expectations of students are high, and this will lead to higher academic results on their part. This concept is related to the so-called „self-fulfilling prophecies“ – the individual develops to the extent that we expect from her/him. Of course, these phenomena are extremely important for the atmosphere in the classroom, because in a sense they determine the teacher’s attitude towards students. An attempt is made to define other terms: „Galatea effect“ and „Golem effect“ as well.

It has been a long that educators, employers, and researchers are trying to relate the university grades and job performance of graduates to improve the quality of teaching and make recruitment easy. However, a concrete conclusion is yet to achieve. In the current study, attempts were made to correlate the relationship between the grades obtained by the textile graduates of a university and their performance in the textile industries in Bangladesh using the Likert scale. Twenty dimensions of quality were identified and corresponding graduates’ competence in these dimensions were evaluated and a relation was made with the grades obtained by the graduates. It was found that students with excellent academic results showed their excellence in the majority of the dimensions of quality over the students with average and poor results. Students with average and poor results also showed their excellence for few quality dimensions and no relation could be proposed. From this study, the authors concluded that, in general, the graduates' job performance was highly related to the GPA obtained by the graduates of that university.

The use of a computer and internet connection allows high school and university students to access more relevant information. However, there is no consensus on the effects of the use of these tools on academic results. This work evaluates the impact of computers and the internet at home on the results of the Saber 11 test, a national exam taken by all students finishing their secondary education in Colombia, between 2017 and 2019. This impact was estimated from a pooled two-stage least squares (pooled 2SLS) model, applied to data from 1,578,460 Colombian high school students. We found that computers and the internet at home had a positive impact on English language performance in the Saber 11 test in Colombia. This work allows a better understanding of the technological effects on educational achievement and provides information for the design of public policies for education in developing countries.

This work describes the teaching that is used in the subject of "Systems Interconnection" that is taught in the Higher Telecommunications Engineering of the University of Extremadura. Each of the sections that make up the subject are detailed, both the competences that the students will have as soon as they pass the subject, as well as the theoretical and practical contents taught therein. In addition, a summary is made of the teaching methodology used, the learning results, and finally ends detailing the evaluation methodology  and above of all the academic results of the last courses, where an improvement in these results is observed, especially in the percentage of approved by reducing the sum of the percentages of unchanged and suspended.
