The use of humor by teachers can have a positive effect on improving the level of academic self concept and implicitly on motivation and academic results. The present research aimed to investigate to what extent the humor styles practiced by teachers influence the level of academic self-concept (ASC) of students. A number of 117 students who were enrolled in the master's programs in the field of public administration within the Faculty of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences (FSPAC), Babeș-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca answered a questionnaire. Our research shows that there is a link between the humor styles practiced by teachers and the level of ASC of students. Also, the findings indicate that the use of humor in the educational process can play a greate role, namely it can increase or decrease the level of ASC among students. In this sense, although the influence of students' humor styles on the ASC level of students is relatively weak, the connection is still significant.

The author has analyzed the problem aspects of public administration of educational change in modern Ukraine. Special frameworks of public administration of educational change in an information society have been determined. The author has analyzed the categories of the implementation process of educational change. The author has explored the key features of external environment of such activity, formed by regulatory acts for settling relations in a particular area. The author has highlighted a set of contradictions of public management of educational change and recommendations for state agencies regarding the organization of an effective process of implementation of educational change as a social and political process with an emphasis on peculiar properties of the educational change. It is determined that the updated legal and regulatory framework of the educational sector, at the same time, extends the scope of professional freedom of teaching and, hence, sets high requirements for the professionalism of teachers. The change in the focus of educational activity by innovations is declared in terms of practice, interactivity and functionality. The teacher will now create educational and training programs tailored to the needs of students and local communities, will create an open learning environment, taking into account the potential of the school and involving the partners in the educational process. However, it has been proved that the methods of active and problem-searching approach defined in the updated normative provision of education in Ukraine require appropriate conditions for the educational process. An active student becomes an active citizen; school, school environment and class become a micro-society. Like the society itself, the school environment is not devoid of conflicts or problem situations. It is in these conditions that students have the opportunity to learn to consciously identify their own interests and gain experience in civic activity.

Preadolescents enrolled in either a 3 times per week, 12-week exercise program ( n = 50) or a no-exercise program control condition ( n = 42) during their after-school care, were assessed for indication of whether exercise-induced changes in self-concept and overall negative mood were negatively correlated. Significant improvements in ratings of self-concept and of negative mood were found over 12 wk. Inverse relationships were found between changes in physical self-concept with overall self-concept and negative mood ( r = –.40 and –.36, respectively). Results supported the positive effect of exercise on the assessed psychological factors in preadolescents. Cognitive behavioral theory-based explanations of the findings were discussed.

Encouragement of humanistic education through the lens of prosocial behavior of adolescents is a complex and extensive issue of the modern world. Prosocial behaviour can indirectly affect the achievement of pupils at school through its connection with some academically relevant forms of behaviour which lead to success at school and work. Also, this connection can be explained by the teacher’s preferences of prosocial pupils, which is reflected in the teacher’s expectations and behaviour towards pupils, as well as the evaluation of their work. Besides, prosocial behaviour can also directly affect pupils since the prosocial interaction of peers can have a positive effect on the intellectual exchanges between pupils, which contributes to a more successful learning process. Taking into consideration the significance and role of the school and teachers, as representatives of the educational process, in encouraging prosocial behaviour in the young at secondary schools, we face a problem: Do secondary school teachers encourage prosocial humanistic behaviour of the young, by what actions and activities are they guided in the process and how does that reflect on the behaviour of pupils? This study tried to give some answers related to this problem in the field of education.

Fashion consciousness is an important consumers' attribute affecting their purchase of luxury products. The existing research mainly focuses on certain factors of fashion consciousness in fashion markets. This research investigates the psychological and social factors of fashion consciousness in the luxury fashion market. Specifically, we analyse how these factors affect fashion consciousness and purchase behaviour among consumers in three age groups of 18-23, 24-29 and 30-35. We find that self-monitoring and self-concept affect fashion consciousness among consumers of the age group of 18-23. We also show that media exposure has a positive effect on fashion consciousness in the age groups of 24-29 and 30-35. Accordingly, we suggest that retailers come up with proper advertising messages to influence the self-monitoring and self-concept of young consumers around the twenties. We also recommend selecting appropriate channels to enhance the exposure of luxury fashion information to consumers in their mid-twenties to mid-thirties.

The article is based on a needs assessment carried out at Telavi Public School N7 to understand teachers' attitudes towards student-centered learning strategies. In particular, it examines how intensively and effectively student-centered approaches are integrated into the teaching process and how teachers interact with each other in student-centered learning. The study was carried out in the 2018-2019 academic year, but the inspiration for the study was the Directorate's informal participation in the educational process during the 2017-2018 academic year. A mixed type of study with quantitative and qualitative methods was used to test the hypotheses. To further investigate the problem and identify a common need, teachers from Telavi State School No. 7, as well as elementary and secondary school students, participated in the study. The interventions were carried out after the completion of the first phase of the study. Observing and analyzing teacher activities helped us assess the effectiveness of our problem-solving and needs-based interventions. The study highlights the fact that creating a collaborative atmosphere between teachers has a positive effect on the learning process. The study found the importance of fostering a culture of collaboration among teachers through the use of diverse resources, activities and challenging classroom assignments. Students' views, opinions and feelings about such lessons were also determined. The introduction of distance technologies is necessary in the professional training of students, despite various assessments of its effectiveness. Hence the purpose of the study: to develop an upbringing system for students in a distance format and experimentally prove its impact on the main directions of upbringing of future teachers, in comparison with extracurricular activities in full-time mode. 156 undergraduate students took part in the experiment. Experimental research is the author's paradigm for the formation of youth upbringing in extracurricular activities, which includes six synergistically interrelated areas. The upbringing student system developed in the study was tested in two formats of implementation: in full-time format at the first stage of the study and in distance format in the second half of the study. The statistical data obtained during the study confirm the effectiveness of the implementation of extracurricular activities for the formation of the upbringing of future teachers only in full-time format. The introduction of distance technologies in the implementation of upbringing extracurricular activities does not have a positive effect on students, but in some areas has an opposite negative effect. The practical significance of the study is determined by the introduction of a self-analysis and monitoring system into the educational process through the use of Facebook and VKontakte social networks.
