Shear-Induced Platelet Aggregation (SIPA) occurs under elevated shear rates (~10000 s-1) found in stenotic coronary and carotid arteries. The pathologically high-shear environment can lead to occlusive thrombosis by SIPA from the interaction of nonactivated platelets and von Willebrand factor (VWF) via glycoprotein Ib (GPIb)-A1 binding. This process under high shear rates is difficult to visualize experimentally with concurrent molecular- and cellular-resolutions. To understand this fast bonding, we employ a validated multiscale in-silico model incorporating measured molecular kinetics and a thrombosis-on-a-chip device to delineate the flow-mediated biophysics of VWF and platelets assembly into mural micro-thrombi. We show that SIPA begins with VWF elongation, followed by agglomeration of platelets in the flow by soluble VWF entanglement before mural capture of the agglomerate by immobilized VWF. The entire SIPA process occurs on the order of 10 ms with the agglomerate travelling a lag distance of a few hundred microns before capture, matching in vitro results. Increasing soluble VWF concentration by ~20x in silico leads to a 2~3x increase in SIPA rates, matching the increase in occlusion rates found in vitro. The morphology of mural aggregates is primarily controlled by VWF molecular weight (length), where normal-length VWF leads to cluster or elongated aggregates and ultra-long VWF leads to loose aggregates seen by others' experiments. Finally, we present phase diagrams of SIPA which provides biomechanistic rationales for a variety of thrombotic and hemostatic events in terms of platelet agglomeration and capture.

The efficacy of a long-acting synthetic derivative of kisspeptin (Kp) to initiate normal estrous cycles was tested in 24 mixed-aged, Holstein-Friesian cows that were 18 to 25 d postpartum on day of treatment (D0). Groups of eight received saline (Sal) vehicle by intramuscular injection at 0800 and 1600 h (Sal-Sal), Kp at 800 h and vehicle at 1600 h (Kp-Sal) or Kp on both occasions (Kp-Kp). The Kp dose was 15 nmol per 60 kg body weight. The cows ovaries were examined daily by ultrasonography between D-4 and D14. Blood samples were collected from a tail vessel 0, 2, 4, 8, 10 and 12 h relative to the time of first injection for LH and FSH assay. Additional samples were collected daily from D-4 until D14 and D19, 22, 26 and 29 for progesterone assay. An LH surge-like response were observed in cows treated with Kp at 0800 h. Ovulation was consistently induced by Kp within 48 h when there was a dominant follicle of at least 10 mm in diameter on the ovaries (8/14), but in no cases (6/14) during a new wave of ovarian follicular development consisting of follicles <10 mm diameter. The subsequent ovulatory cycle was of normal length in most cases, as compared with short 8 to 12 d cycles observed in spontaneously ovulating cows. We conclude that Kp treatment can induce ovulation in postpartum dairy cows, with ensuing estrous cycles of normal length, if administered when a mature dominant follicle is present on the ovaries.

ABSTRAKKehamilan merupakan proses yang normal, alamiah yang diawali dengan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan janin intrauteri, dimulai sejak konsepsi sampai bersalin dan lamanya kehamilan normal adalah 280 hari (40 minggu atau 9 bulan 7 hari) di hitung dari hari pertama haid terakhir.Pada masa Kehamilan ibu hamil agar dapat mempersiapkan diri pada kesehatan ibu hamil dengan menjaga nutrisi selama proses kehamilannya. Ibu hamil wajib memeriksakan kehamilannya agara ibu hamil dapat mengetahui dan mencegah sedini mungkin kelainan yang dapat terjadi, meningkatkan kondisi badan ibu dalam menghadapi kehamilan serta mendapatkan penyuluhan yang diperlukan selama kehamilan. Melalui kegiatan ini diharapkan masyarakat khususnya ibu hamil mampu menjaga kesehatannya selama kehamilan di masa pandemi. Kegiatan-kegiatan ini mencakup teori dan praktek yang meliputi : (1) Pendidikan Kesehatan yang dilakukan secara online; (2) Praktik Senam Ibu Hamil yang dilakukan Melalui Vidio; dengan melibatkan mahasiswa Universitas Aisyah Pringsewu pada saat pelaksanaan. Melalui kegiatan ini, diharapkan masyarakat khususnya ibu hamil dapat menyadari pentingnya kesehatan bagi ibu hamil walaupun dimasa pandemi ini. Kata kunci: kehamilan; nutrisi; senam hamil ABSTRACTPregnancy is a normal, natural process that begins with the growth and development of the intrauterine fetus. It starts from conception to delivery and the normal length of pregnancy is 280 days (40 weeks or 9 months 7 days) on the first day of the last menstruation. During pregnancy, pregnant women can prepare themselves for the health of pregnant women by maintaining nutrition during the pregnancy process. Pregnant women are required to have their pregnancy checked so that pregnant women can find out and prevent possible abnormalities that can occur, improve the condition of the mother's body in facing pregnancy and get the necessary counseling during pregnancy. Through this activity, it is expected that the community, especially pregnant women, will be able to maintain their health during pregnancy during a pandemic. These activities include theory and practice as follows: (1) Health Education which will be conducted online; (2) Exercise for Pregnant Women through Video; by involving the students of Aisyah University of Pringsewu during the implementation. Rcd4 is a poorly characterized Drosophila centriole component whose mammalian counterpart, PPP1R35, is suggested to function in centriole elongation and conversion to centrosomes. Here, we show that rcd4 mutants exhibit fewer centrioles, aberrant mitoses, and reduced basal bodies in sensory organs. Rcd4 interacts with the C-terminal part of Ana3, which loads onto the procentriole during interphase, ahead of Rcd4 and before mitosis. Accordingly, depletion of Ana3 prevents Rcd4 recruitment but not vice versa. We find that neither Ana3 nor Rcd4 participates directly in the mitotic conversion of centrioles to centrosomes, but both are required to load Ana1, which is essential for such conversion. Whereas ana3 mutants are male sterile, reflecting a requirement for Ana3 for centriole development in the male germ line, rcd4 mutants are fertile and have male germ line centrioles of normal length. Thus, Rcd4 is essential in somatic cells but is not absolutely required in spermatogenesis, indicating tissue-specific roles in centriole and basal body formation.

This article take a glance at a cluster area single server channel Queuing system, where the server gives two sorts of vacations viz., beginning one a short vacation and the long vacation is permitted as a second vacation. Long vacation is given in two stages. First stage is compulsory and if in case of need, the server goes for a optional second stage of long vacation. In addition, the concept of restricted admissibility of customers to the system is applied during the time of optional second stage of long vacation. For the above outlined covering issue, the beneficial variable method and probability approach are utilized to determine the Probability generating capacity of the line measure and the normal length of the line. In like way the other execution degrees of the model are settled utilizing Little's law. At last, the model is guarded by procedures for numerical redirection and the model is top notch by the graphical examination.

The assessment of process accuracy on measurement parameters chosen ans statistical processing of the measurement results on parameters: changes in a general normal length, a radial runout is carried out. An experimental verification on the definition of processing conditions impact upon roughness of gear surfaces processed is carried out.

Although detailed descriptions of proper handshakes partly comprise many etiquette books, how a normal handshake can be described, its proper duration, and the consequences of violating handshake expectations remain empirically unexplored. This study measured the effect of temporal violations of the expected length of a handshake (less than three seconds according to previous studies) administered unobtrusively in a naturalistic experiment. We compared volunteer participants’ ( N = 34; 25 females; 9 males; Mage = 23.76 years, SD = 6.85) nonverbal behavior before and after (a) a prolonged handshake (>3 seconds), (b) a normal length handshake (average length <3 seconds), and (c) a control encounter with no handshake. Frame-by-frame behavioral analyses revealed that, following a prolonged handshake (vs. a normal length or no handshake), participants showed less interactional enjoyment, as indicated by less laughing. They also showed evidence of anxiety and behavioral freezing, indicated by increased hands-on-hands movements, and they showed fewer hands-on-body movements. Normal length handshakes resulted in less subsequent smiling than did prolonged handshakes, but normal length handshakes were also followed by fewer hands-on-face movements than prolonged handshakes. No behavior changes were associated with the no-handshake control condition. We found no differences in participants’ level of empathy or state/trait anxiety related to these conditions. In summary, participants reacted behaviorally to temporal manipulations of handshakes, with relevant implications for interactions in interviews, business, educational, and social settings and for assisting patients with social skills difficulties.

This research is the design of  new technology which is  simple by engineering hydraulic system and  principles of hand grip which functions  as adjustable twig clipper  that is ergonomic, with the normal length of 1.5 meters,  maximum length of 3 meters., weight of 2.8 kg,  the length of grip range  of 94 mm and handlebar diameter of 52 mm. This research used the method of ergonomic analysis to identify the suitability of the device with human by taking 95 percentile. From the findings, the hand grip diameter obtained is 54, 29 mm while the hand palm width is 97.87 mm, and the maximum pressure required to cut the branch is 522.29 kg/cm2 with a diameter of 1 cm that is for the type of clove twig. In addition, from the NIOSH analysis, it is obtained that the required weight is 4.89 Kg while from the QEC method, the highest score percentage is 47.62. This means that it is necessary to improve the equipment in the future. In order to prevent tiredness, the suggested working duration is 8.40 minutes and 7.14 minutes for resting time. From the results of research, it can be concluded that this device still needs to be improved in the future. In addition, the usage time is quite short and it is only functioned for harvesting clove and harvesting other similar with maximum diameter of 1 cm.
