After completing the construction project approval, the universities will entrust a qualified design institute to carry out plan design, preliminary design and construction drawing design. Among them, the construction drawings are used to show the external shape, internal layout, detailed structure, and fixed facilities of the building, and its design depth meets the requirements for guiding construction. Construction drawings are an important basis for universities to compile bills of quantities, launch bidding, and organize construction. They are also a key factor for universities construction projects to achieve quality, investment, and schedule control goals. Therefore, the establishment of a complete construction drawing review mechanism to improve the quality of construction drawings is of great significance to the later project management.

Abstract With the high-quality development of the global economy, China’s power industry is accelerating its upgrading and transformation in accordance with the requirements of building a clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient manner. As the front-end industry of the power industry, related Power Design Institutes are also facing the challenge of transformation pressure. This study believes that the Power Design Institute should be market-oriented to change its concept, mainly from three aspects: transform from traditional coal-fired power generation business to new energy power generation business, and develop photovoltaic, wind power, biomass power generation and other new energy power generation businesses; The traditional design method is transformed into a digital and intelligent design method, and advanced technologies such as BIM and blockchain are fully utilized in the design process; from a simple design business to a whole-process consulting business, Transition from a simple design business to a whole-process consulting business, horizontally expand the design business to the entire process from pre-planning to post-project evaluation, and initially expand the business types to include project management, investment consulting, bidding consulting, and general contracting services, supervision business, procurement consulting, etc.

The article attempts to investigate the historical circumstances of the development and serial construction of narrow-gauge electric locomotives at the Dnepropetrovsk Electric Locomotive Plant based on a comprehensive analysis of sources and scientific literature. It is determined that during the 1960s and 1990s the staff of the Special Design and Technology Bureau of the Dnipropetrovsk Plant, having a strong research and production potential, developed and created projects of unique narrow-gauge electric locomotives of PEU 1 series (IELNG1 – industrial narrow-gauge electric locomotive type 1) and PEU 2 (IELNG2 – industrial narrow-gauge electric locomotive type 2) to meet the needs of the Soviet mining industry in the complex mining and geological conditions of Central Asia with modern high-tech electric vehicles. The development of the research and production base of the machine-building enterprise is traced, the production nomenclature of which, originally represented exclusively by electric locomotives and traction units for industrial purposes, was expanded to the production of main traction rolling stock and special repair equipment. It was found that due to the economic crisis of the CIS countries in the first half of the 1990s, the rupture of economic ties of the former Soviet republics and the lack of need for such equipment on electrified access roads of narrow-gauge Ukrainian mining enterprises all work on designing promising projects and serial production of narrow-gauge electric locomotives at the Dnipropetrovsk Electric Locomotive Plant were stopped, and the Special Design and Technology Bureau of the enterprise, having received a state order, was reorganized into the Ukrainian Research Design Institute of Electric Locomotive Construction and focused on the development of main wide-gauge locomotive fleet of the railway network of Ukraine. Despite the fact that the Ukrainian Research Design Institute of Electric Locomotive has been liquidated and the Dnipropetrovsk plant is in decline, taking into account the historical experience of electric locomotive building in Ukraine is of fundamental importance in the general perspective of Ukrainian transport engineering and the domestic railway industry in particular. Further study of the history of Dnipropetrovsk Electric Locomotive Plant requires analysis of the historical circumstances of the institutionalization of the Special Design and Technology Bureau of the enterprise from the creation of shunting electric locomotives and traction units for industrial purposes to the development and re-equipment of main traction rolling stock and specialized repair equipment within the state enterprise «Ukrainian Research Design Institute of Electric Locomotive Engineering» under the leadership of Academician Victor Bratash.

"Funded in 2000 in Northern Italy, the Interaction Design Institute Ivrea (IDII) was a two-year post-graduate program entirely devoted to educate professionals to tackle a new interpretation of the relationship between human beings, design and digital technologies. This paper retraces the history and the legacy of this Institution and how it was deeply related to Olivetti’s culture, bringing to a wider audience the experimental and visionary educational program through the lenses of some of its main characters: Mr. Franco Debenedetti, IDII Founder and President, Ms. Gillian Crampton Smith, School Director, Ms. Simona Maschi, member of the resident Faculty, and Mr. Giorgio Olivero, student and researcher at that time. The opening in 2021 of the Easy as a Kiss. Vision, story and impact of Interaction Design Institute Ivrea exhibition, curated by Jan-Christoph Zoels, pushed us to explore the origin of the Institution and present a retrospective of the experience."

This paper is a positioning statement and expository article describing design and fabrication projects built by students and faculty of the Hong Kong Design Institute’s (HKDI’s) Architecture programme. Through a series of experimental design-build projects, HKDI faculty teaches students the knowledge and experience to be gained through personal fabrication work, whether wholly manual or digitally assisted. The author stages the work against a series of excerpts from notable architects’ writings, describing a field of study relating tacit knowledge, architectural education, and fabrication specifics students explore through projects in Hong Kong and South China. Lessons and summary bodies of knowledge drawn from these preliminary projects define the path forward for HKDI’s spatial design pedagogy and research.

The influence of engine powered effects on aerodynamic characteristics of BWB300, which was designed by the Airplane Concept Design Institute of Northwestern Polytechnical University, at take-off condition was analyzed by using the numerical simulation method. Firstly, the method of using the inlet and exhaust boundary conditions to analyze the powered engine was validated. Then, the engine powered effects on BWB300 aerodynamic characteristics at take-off condition were researched with flow through nacelle and with powered nacelle. The results indicated that though the powered effect changing the value of aerodynamic forces, there was no change in the aerodynamic curve trend. It's recommended that the engine power effect should be considered in numerical simulation by using with powered nacelle to gain more accurate values of aerodynamic forces. Nevertheless, with flow nacelle also could be used to gain some regular results.
