This paper presents a floating transportation equipment (FTE) for the negative pressure suction bucket foundation (NPSBF) of offshore wind turbines, and the basic design and main transportation means are introduced. The hydrodynamic characteristics of integrated FTE-NPSBF structure are comprehensively studied. The ability of FTE as a transportation aid to provide stability for the NPSBF is verified, and the vibration reduction measures under the condition of wave resonance during the floating transportation process are given.

Lifting pipe used in deep ocean mining is the tool to transport mineral from seabed to vessel. In this study, a vessel was retrofitted as an experimental ship for deep ocean mining with a U-type lifting pipe installed on the right side of vessel. Assuming pipe as a rigid structure, the impact of pipe on movements of vessel were discussed based on frequency domain method for hydrodynamic analysis.

From the middle of the 20th century to the end of the 20th century, modernism made its transition to postmodernism in a gradual manner. This paper, starting from the connotation of modernism to postmodernism, sorts out the main evolution and transition of modernism and modernism in the field of urban planning and architecture. Later on, analysis is made in this paper on the difference and complementarity from modernism to postmodernism and discusses the contemporary continuity of its spirit.

The detection methods of formaldehyde content in indoor air, including traditional laboratory detection methods (AHMT spectrophotometry, phenol reagent spectrophotometry, acetyl acetone spectrophotometry and gas chromatography) and rapid detection methods (electrochemical sensor method, photoelectric spectrophotometry, etc.), were introduced and described. This paper systematically analyzes and compares the detection principle, applicable environment medium, detection flux and the advantages and disadvantages of each detection method. The future detection methods of formaldehyde content in indoor air were prospected.

Nightingale 1 is a well-designed, community-led building for owner-occupiers in Brunswick, Melbourne, which is continuously awarded as the top five of the most livable cities in the world. To identify sustainability aspects of the Nightingale 1, the study will not only investigate local topographic characteristics and solar performance but also demonstrate the advantages or disadvantages of the current design related to the solar analysis. Based on the analysis, the study will propose improvements of thermal comfort in the housing project.

In the process of tunnel construction, data on deformation monitoring magnifies the direct reflection of the stability of tunnel structure, and the setting of early warning value is more related to the safety of project construction. In this paper, a tunnel project is taken as an example, and based on a large number of previous engineering practices and the statistical characteristics of monitoring data, the probability statistics method is used to obtain the warning threshold, which is used to give suggestions for the construction of the tunnel project and provide technical reference for the monitoring and warning management of similar tunnel construction.

Public service facilities are an important part of China's harmonious and livable city construction and people's desire for a better life. The research topics of urban public service facilities allocation at home and abroad are different. It is found that foreign studies mainly focus on the location selection, accessibility, spatial equity and socio-economic effects of public service facilities allocation, while domestic studies pay more attention to the allocation standards of public service facilities and the optimization of layout, accessibility and spatial pattern. According to the characteristics of research at home and abroad, this paper reviews the literature respectively, and finally reflects on the differences of configuration research at home and abroad.

After completing the construction project approval, the universities will entrust a qualified design institute to carry out plan design, preliminary design and construction drawing design. Among them, the construction drawings are used to show the external shape, internal layout, detailed structure, and fixed facilities of the building, and its design depth meets the requirements for guiding construction. Construction drawings are an important basis for universities to compile bills of quantities, launch bidding, and organize construction. They are also a key factor for universities construction projects to achieve quality, investment, and schedule control goals. Therefore, the establishment of a complete construction drawing review mechanism to improve the quality of construction drawings is of great significance to the later project management.

This paper presents a new kind of foamed concrete mixed with recycled micro-powder of construction waste which is helpful for saving resources, protecting the environment and achieving a sustainable development. An orthogonal experiment was designed to test the compressive strength of foamed concrete relatng to different factors, and the degree of influence were studied according to test result and range analysis of the factors. Using the efficacy coefficient method, the best mixture ratio was derived when both requirements of a quite light weight and a high strength were satisfied. XRD and SEM tests showed that the increase in compressive strength was due to the refinement of pores within the foamed concrete by the addition of recycled micronized powder.

Earthquakes result in major structural damage or outright collapse of buildings. Recent earthquakes have shown that historic buildings retrofitted to withstand earthquakes survive better than those that have not been upgraded. India is a country with a rich architectural and cultural heritage with a large number of religious and secular buildings dating back to the 2nd century BC. Heritage buildings are especially vulnerable in case of an earthquake. If once they are lost a part of our history is lost forever. Although heritage buildings can be retrofitted to survive earthquakes, many retrofit practices damage or destroy the very features that make such buildings significant. So there is a need to conserve these buildings following the International Venice Charter issued in 1966 to regulate the conservation and restoration of monuments and sites worldwide. This paper studies the various aspects of seismic retrofitting of heritage buildings, new techniques being evolved worldwide, and also discusses preservation issues and scenarios of heritage conservation in India.
