With the continuous increase of subway operating mileage, the problem of subway vibration has become more and more significant. Nowadays, the point-supported floating-slab track is recognized as the best method to control track vibration, which is mainly designed based on the mass-spring-damping theory. How to further improve the vibration control ability of the point-supported floating-slab track? In this paper, a new type of rubber point-supported floating slab track is designed based on the local resonance theory. Through calculation and dynamic test, it is obtained as follows: (1) The band gap of the point support structure by local resonance type depends on the two vertical vibration modes. (2) As the elastic modulus of the cladding layer increases, the bandwidth of the band gap of the corresponding structure increases significantly. (3) The increase of the vibrator density can increase the bandwidth, while reducing the start and stop frequencies, which is beneficial to attenuate the resonance of the floating-slab track. (4) The cushion material parameters of point support structure by local resonance type 2 will not affect the band gap. The increase in sleeve density will reduce the band gap, which is not conducive to vibration reduction. Local resonance type floating-slab track will be the development direction of track vibration-reduction measures in the future.

AbstractThis article proposes a family of high-radix floating-point representation to efficiently deal with floating-point addition in FPGA devices with no native floating-point support. Since variable shifter implementation (required in any FP adder) has a very high cost in FPGA, high-radix formats considerably reduce the number of possible shifts, decreasing the execution time and area highly. Although the high-radix format produces also a significant penalty in the implementation of multipliers, the experimental results show that the adder improvement overweights the multiplication penalty for most of the practical and common cases (digital filters, matrix multiplications, etc.). We also provide the designer with guidelines on selecting a suitable radix as a function of the ratio between the number of additions and multiplications of the targeted algorithm. For applications with similar numbers of additions and multiplications, the high-radix version may be up to 26% faster and even having a wider dynamic range and using higher number of significant bits. Furthermore, thanks to the proposed efficient converters between the standard IEEE-754 format and our internal high-radix format, the cost of the input/output conversions in FPGA accelerators is negligible.

Selective serratus anterior (SA) strengthening without compensatory movement of the shoulder stabilizers is essential for shoulder stability and functional movement without causing shoulder injury and dysfunction. The purpose of this study was to compare electromyographic (EMG) activity between the SA, upper trapezius (UT), lower trapezius (LT), and pectoralis major (PM) during the knee push-up plus (KPUP) and modified Vojta’s 3-point support (MV3PS) exercises. Scapular stabilizer muscle activity (UT, LT, SA, and PM) was investigated during the KPUP and MV3PS exercises in 40 healthy adults (19 males, 21 females) using surface EMG. Muscle activity of the SA was significantly higher during the MV3PS exercise than during the KPUP (p < 0.05). However, muscle activity in the PM was significantly lower during the MV3PS exercise (p < 0.05). In addition, the LT and UT showed less muscle activity during the MV3PS exercise, although the difference was not statistically significant (p > 0.05). These findings suggest that the MV3PS exercise better activates the SA than KPUP.

Abstract The support point layout of the machine tool has an important influence on the working performance of the machine tool, when the material, manufacturing process and internal structure of machine bed are determined. In order to ensure that the precision machine tool has good leveling performance, stability and anti-interference, this paper presents an optimized design method of three-point support for T-shape bed of precision horizontal machining center. This article first establishes the statics model of the T-shape bed and analyzes grillage beam model used to characterize the main static deformation trend of the bed based on the singular function method. After verifying the rationality of the model through simulation, the optimized three-point support position can be obtained. Then this paper measured the deformation of the upper surface of a simple bed due to gravity. The deviation between the experimental results and the simulation results is less than 20%, which verifies the reliability of the simulation and theoretical results. Based on the ISIGHT multi-disciplinary optimization platform, this paper completes the multi-objective optimization of the support point layout of the bed, and the optimization results prove the accuracy of the theoretical model. This paper takes the bed of M800H precision horizontal machining center as an example to illustrate the application process of the proposed method. Finally, this paper compares the optimization effect of the static characteristics of the bed and the whole machine. The maximum deformation of the bed has reduced by 27.1%. In the whole machine status, the deformation of the spindle end has reduced by 50.8%, and the maximum deformation of the workpiece end have reduced by 50.0%.

Subject. This article explores the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on small and medium-sized businesses' activities. Objectives. The article aims to analyze the measures of regional and federal support for small and medium-sized businesses carried out in St. Petersburg. Methods. For the study, I used general research methods. Results. Considering the problem of survival of small and medium-sized businesses in St. Petersburg in the economic crisis, the article assesses the measures of State aid for economic actors. Conclusions. Despite certain effective measures of public support, the restrictions imposed do not guarantee successful overcoming of the occurred economic recession by small and medium-sized businesses. The most effective options are public selective or pin-point support efforts for small and medium-sized businesses and the variability of restrictive measures.
