This study aims to find out the results of students' learning through the implementation of a group investigation learning model through mathematical domino media better than the implementation of a conventional learning model on the rank number and root form materials. The research was a quasi-experiment with the design of a randomized control group pretest-posttest. The population of this research is the entire class IX SMP Negeri 1 Lhokseumawe consisting of 9 classes. The research sample was determined by a randomized technique that made 2 classes namely experiment class (IXA) and control class (IXB). The results of the student posttest data test show that the data is distributed normally and homogeneously, so it can be analyzed with one-side t-test statistics at a significant α= 0.05. Based on the results of data processing against the posttest students obtained sig scores. (2-tailed) posttest data is 0.001 which means less than α= 0.05, this means H0 is rejected, so it can be concluded that the learning results of students taught by the group investigation learning model through domino mathematics media are better than conventional learning models on the rank number and root form materials in grade IX of SMP Negeri 1 Lhokseumawe.

The photonic nanojet phenomenon is commonly used both to increase the resolution of optical microscopes and to trap nanoparticles. However, such photonic nanojets are not applicable to an entire class of objects. Here we present a new type of photonic nanojet in reflection mode with the possibility to control the modulation of the photonic nanojet by a standing wave. In contrast to the known kinds of reflective photonic nanojets, the reported one occurs when the aluminum oxide hemisphere is located at a certain distance from the substrate. Under illumination, the hemisphere generates a primary photonic nanojet directed to the substrate. After reflection, the primary nanojet acts as an illumination source for the hemisphere, leading to the formation of a new reflective photonic nanojet. We show that the distance between the hemisphere and substrate affects the phase of both incident and reflected radiation, and due to constructive interference, the modulation of the reflective photonic nanojet by a standing wave can be significantly reduced. The results obtained contribute to the understanding of the processes of photonic nanojet formation in reflection mode and open new pathways for designing functional optical devices.

The article presents the theoretical foundations for constructing invariant and quasi-invariant relative to the disturbing influences of measuring systems. A historical reference which shows the emergence, evolution and spread of methods of the theory of invariance from automatic control and regulation systems to information and measuring systems and measurements in general is given. The possibilities of new applications of the formulated by academician B.N. Petrov of the two-channel principle are shown. On its basis, methodological signs of the physical feasibility of structural and technological methods are formulated. Theoretical foundations and the method of linearization of principally nonlinear transformation functions of parametric measuring transducers, which are also based on the principle of two-channel, are given. All theoretical positions are supported by practical examples that extend the capabilities of the considered methods to the entire class of parametric measuring transducers as part of non-equilibrium measuring bridges and voltage dividers.

The article says that children currently lack movement. In the course of the study, it was revealed that through simple measures it is possible to increase the motor activity of an entire class and if this is carried out regularly, to bring the indicators to the optimal norm. By interacting with parents, children can be motivated to a healthy lifestyle.

Drawing on the works of three authors, namely, Jean Epstein, Auguste Villiers de l’Isle-Adam and P.A. Kropotkin, the article attempts to lay the grounds for what might be called a semiotics of forces. Jean Epstein, a filmmaker and theorist of the new art form, is the author of an original concept of photogénie where cinema is presented as an instrument revealing the transformations of matter itself. Erupting Etna stands for the transformations in question. Villiers de l’Isle-Adam is a symbolist writer, who also mentions Etna, associating its explosive power with the chemical formulas of explosives. These formulas, integrated into his “least literary” novella, become special signs of social transformation: The writer, challenging the entire class of bourgeoisie that he deeply detests, makes use of the fear incited by the anarchists amongst it. Finally, P.A. Kropotkin, one of the leading theorists of anarchism but also an outstanding scientist and geographer, insists on the priority of transformative action over theory and every other speculation. In fact, he proposes his own version of the performative – of words changing the existing state of things – already at the end of the 19th century. In one way or another, all these writers are united by their understanding of the inherent connection between natural and social disasters (Kropotkin’s position is explicit). Described by Epstein and only once mentioned by Villiers de l’Isle-Adam, Etna becomes an element of a correlation, i.e., of a connection that is unapparent and necessary at the same time. What is implied is the relation between volcano and cinema as well as that between volcano and explosives. In both cases this relation becomes the designation of matter itself or, to be more exact, of matter in a state of flux and transformation. But this is also true of transformative action in the proper sense of the word (resulting in revolution, according to Kropotkin), whose verbal expressions always carry within themselves the energy of multidirectional forces. Etna is not merely a volcano and not just an element of a correlation; from the perspective of physics, it is synonymous with heat (scorching lava), which stands for changes in the properties of a substance, i.e., its transformation in purely physical terms. It is clear that transformation in cinema, literature as well as in social life cannot be represented directly; it is revealed only through a set of relations, namely, a semiotics of forces.

A critical component of blended learning is that technology is combined with face-to-face instruction to enhance learning for students. Without this essential component, blended learning would be no different than when a teacher projects online curriculum to the entire class on a whiteboard. A blended learning methodology enables students to utilize technology to learn in a way that best meets their needs while in an environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and problem solving. The focus on how technology is used in a blended learning approach is critical for separating it from being a technology-rich classroom. Blended learning is an instructional approach that enables teachers to have more time to personalize learning for their students. Learning is personalized so that students in a blended learning environment have some control over the pace of their learning.

How to inculcate virtue in the citizens of Magnesia by means of the dance component of choreia constitutes one of the principal concerns in the Laws (= Leg.), revealing Plato's evolving ideas about the expediency of music and paideia for the construction of his ideal city since the Republic. Indeed, a steady stream of monographs and articles on the Laws has enriched our understanding of how Plato theorizes the body as a site of intervention and choral dance as instrumental in solidifying social relations and in conditioning the ethical and political self. As one scholar has aptly put it: ‘a city and its sociopolitical character [are] effectively danced into existence.’ Drawing on this recent work, I focus on an enigmatic passage in Laws Book 7 that merits more attention than it has received, in which Plato curiously singles out Bacchic dances from those that are ‘without controversy’ (815b7–d4): τὴν τοίνυν ἀμφισβητουμένην ὄρχησιν δεῖ πρῶτον χωρὶς τῆς ἀναμφισβητήτου διατεμεῖν. So, first of all, we should separate questionable dancing far from dancing that is without controversy. Which is the controversial kind, and how are the two to be distinguished? All the dancing that is of a Bacchic kind and cultivated by those who indulge in intoxicated imitations of Nymphs, Pans, Sileni and Satyrs (as they name them), when performing certain rites of expiation and initiation—this entire class of dancing cannot easily be marked off either as pacific or as warlike, nor as of any one particular kind. The most correct way of defining it appears to me to be this—to place it away from both pacific and warlike dancing, and to pronounce that this type of dancing is οὐ πολιτικόν; having thus set aside and dismissed it, we will now return to the warlike and pacific types, which without controversy belong to us.

In this activity designed for high school students, learners compose rap songs about specific historical events. The resulting songs will detail the significance, implications, and influences of the student-researched historical events. The activity commences by prompting students to research historical events, guiding them to delve deeper into topics that they find interesting and relevant to their lives. After students have settled on an issue that they feel compelled to study, they create rap songs that are inspired by the emotional impact of their chosen historical event. Students are also required to teach other students their songs, resulting in the entire class learning about multiple historical events through rap.
