AbstractConsider a Lamperti–Kiu Markov additive process $(J, \xi)$ on $\{+, -\}\times\mathbb R\cup \{-\infty\}$, where J is the modulating Markov chain component. First we study the finiteness of the exponential functional and then consider its moments and tail asymptotics under Cramér’s condition. In the strong subexponential case we determine the subexponential tails of the exponential functional under some further assumptions.

The electrochemical synthesis of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) was first carried out in the presence of mixtures of flexible-chain and rigid-chain polyacids and their Na-salts. Earlier on with the example of polyaniline, we have shown the non-additive effect of the rigid-chain component of polyacid mixtures on the electrodeposition of polyaniline films, their morphology and spectroelectrochemical properties. In this study, we confirmed the non-additive effect and showed that such mixed PEDOT–polyelectrolyte films possess unique morphology, spectroelectrochemical and ammonia sensing properties. The electrosynthesis was carried out in potential cycling, galvanostatic and potentiostatic regimes and monitored by in situ UV–Vis spectroscopy. UV–Vis spectroelectrochemistry of the obtained PEDOT–polyelectrolyte films revealed the dominating influence of the rigid-chain polyacid on the electronic structure of the mixed complexes. The mixed PEDOT–polyacid films demonstrated the best ammonia sensing performance (in the range of 5 to 25 ppm) as compared to the films of individual PEDOT–polyelectrolyte films.

Let M be a closed n-dimensional smooth Riemannian manifold, and let X be a $C^1$ -vector field of $M.$ Let $\gamma $ be a hyperbolic closed orbit of $X.$ In this paper, we show that X has the $C^1$ -stably shadowing property on the chain component $C_X(\gamma )$ if and only if $C_X(\gamma )$ is the hyperbolic homoclinic class.

The punch die clearance in metal stamping tool is an important factor which decides the produced component’s quality. It affects the size and quality of the profile produced by the blanking or piercing operation. An attempt is taken in this study to analyses the effects of varying punch-die clearances during hole piercing operation in an industrial chain component using DEFORM 3D software. Simulations were conducted with insufficient, optimum and Excessive clearance values and their results are discussed. The simulation experiments are conducted on AISI 1060 steel component used for industrial chain as inner plate, and the results of the simulations are discussed

The authors laid the groundwork for analyzing the crypto-economic incentives of interconnected blockchain networks and utilize situational crime prevention theory to explain how more secure systems can be developed. Blockchain networks utilize smaller blockchains (often called sidechains) to increase throughput in larger networks. Identified are several disadvantages to using sidechains that create critical exposures to the assets locked on them. Without security being provided by the mainchain in the form of validated exits, sidechains or statechannels which have a bridge or mainchain asset representations are at significant risk of attack. The inability to have a sufficiently high cost to attack the sidechain while mainchain assets can be withdrawn, along with the disconnect between the integrity of the sidechain and the value of the stolen assets are among the top disadvantages. The current study used a vulnerability analysis and theoretical mathematics based on situational crime prevention theory to highlight the attack vectors and prevention methods for these systems. Much of the analysis can be applied to any distributed system (e.g. blockchain network), particularly any supposedly trustless off-chain component. The equations developed in the current study will hold for any two chains that are bridged and pass value back and forth and provides evidence to suggest a public sidechain is likely not a viable option for scalability due to security concerns. Criminal strategies on blockchain networks in the digital realm are similar to criminal strategies in the physical realm; therefore, the application of criminology can lead to more efficient development and ultimately more effective security protocols.

The distribution of resources is a key to the success of a given production process and its maintenance. Indeed, companies can gain a decisive and immediate competitive advantage. We aim to model the allocation of resources in a power type production unit proposing improvements at a later stage. A model: workers, resources, tasks will be adopted as part of our model. Once developed, this model can be the starting point for further optimization efforts for the entire value chain component of any production process. CAPEX: Reduction of operating costs by dynamic elimination of losses. To our previous efforts, we add a problem resolution framework rendering it easier for the user to identify resource importance and resource leakage.
