Currently, the use of laughter as a form of treatment and support is not very popular. The purpose of this article is to try to discuss gelotology as an example of a therapeutic method that can be used not only for adults, but also for children and adolescents. This paper presents the most important issues related to laughter therapy. Research shows that humour plays an important role in the healing process. Its positive effects contribute to the reduction of symptoms of many different diseases and disorders that are often associated with pain and suffering. Laughter becomes an important therapeutic tool, the use of which contributes to the improvement of the mental and physical condition of an individual, which is why it is worth learning more about it.

Usually, it is customary to take any broad, general questions of medicine as topics for speeches delivered at the Annual Meetings of our Society. In deviation from this rule, the subject of my speech will be only a private medical method, and, moreover, applied to a particular disease of one organ. If, however, I add that such a disease is uterine cancer, and the therapeutic method, which I will talk about in my speech, is radiation therapy, then the indicated digression will become completely understandable for you.

ABSTRACT Immunization is the therapeutic method that aims the immunological protection against infectious diseases. It is the most effective way to control, eradicate, and even eliminate certain diseases, which highlights the need for greater adherence to this practice.

Abstract Background Breast cancer is one of the most challenging cancers among women which is considered one of the most lethal cancers to this date. From the time that cancer has been discovered, finding the best therapeutic method is still an ongoing process. As a novel therapeutic method, nanomedicine has brought a vast number of materials that could versatilely be used as a drug carrier. The purpose of this study is to develop a novel black pomegranate peel extract loaded with chitosan-coated magnetic nanoparticles to treat breast cancer cells. Results The morphology and size distribution of the nanoparticles studied by dynamic light scattering, atomic force microscopy, scanning, and transitional electron microscopy showed the spherical shape of the nanoparticles and their promising size range. Studies by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, vibrating sample magnetometer, and zeta sizer confirmed the synthesis, substantial crystallinity, magnetic potential of the nanoparticles, and their satisfactory stability. The DPPH assay revealed that the obtained black pomegranate peel extract has 60% free radical scavenging activity. The cytotoxicity studies by MTT and LDH assay carried out on NIH/3T3, MBA-MB-231, and 4T1 cells confirmed that the magnetic nanoparticles had no significant cytotoxicity on the cells. However, the drug-loaded nanoparticles could significantly eradicate cancerous cells which had more efficiency comparing to free drug. Furthermore, free drug and drug-loaded nanoparticles had no toxic effect on normal cells. Conclusion Owing to the results achieved from this study, the novel drug-loaded nanoparticles are compatible to be used for breast cancer treatment and could potentially be used for further in vivo studies.

The purpose of the research is to review all types of modern audiovisual art, understand its components and novelty, which it offers. The article also analyzes the interactions of an audiovisual artist with the audience together with the new aspects of the interaction of the consumer with the artistic content. Moreover, it is important to understand the influence of this type of art on human consciousness as well as the changes it brings with it into long known forms such as films and video games. The methodology of the research consists in using the following methods: theoretical (regarding the scientific articles, which conduct the discussion concerning audiovisual art within theoretical plain) and empirical (consideration and analysis of various media materials to receive information on the latest audiovisual art products). Scientific novelty. Considering that audiovisual art appeared fairly recently, there is not a big quantity of researches, which would analyze the components of audiovisual art in-depth as well as the elements of novelty, which the said type of art offers. It has to be noted that the scientific novelty abroad is present to a lesser extent, however, within the space of Ukrainian scientific thought, this type of art is still not being researched thoroughly. Conclusions. Throughout the research, we have established the primary traits of audiovisual art, regarded in detail the relationships and interactions of the audiovisual artist with his audience and the degree of control available to the consumer over the artistic idea. The article also established the possibility of using audiovisual art as a therapeutic method for healing mental traumas.

Abstract Background Early-stage non-small lung cancer patients may survive long enough to develop second primary lung cancers. However, few studies have accurately described the therapeutic method, evaluation or prognostic factors for long-term survival in this complex clinical scenario. Methods Patients who had first and second primary non-small lung cancer in the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results database between 2004 and 2015 were evaluated. Patients were included when their tumors were pathologically diagnosed as non-small lung cancer and in the early-stage (less than 3 cm and with no lymph node metastasis). Therapeutic methods were categorized as lobectomy, sublobectomy or no surgery. The influence of different therapeutic methods on the overall survival rate was compared. Results For the first primary tumor, patients who underwent lobectomy achieved superior survival benefits compared with patients who underwent sublobectomy. For the second primary tumor, long-term survival was similar in patients who underwent lobectomy and those who underwent sublobectomy treatment. The multivariate analysis indicated that age, disease-free time interval, sex, and first and second types of surgery were independent prognostic factors for long-term survival. Our results showed that the 5-year overall survival rate was 91.9% when the disease-free interval exceeded 24 months. Conclusion Lobectomy for the first primary tumor followed by sublobectomy for the second primary tumor may be a beneficial therapeutic method for patients. If the disease-free interval exceeds 24 months, the second primary tumor will have no influence on the natural course for patients diagnosed with a first primary non-small lung cancer.

It is difficult to predict how the founder of psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud, would react to an attempt to link his theory and the method of treating mental disorders based on it [1] with such a purely physical disease as acute pneumonia (AP). It is unlikely that such an innovation could cause full approval and support. However, in this context, we are not talking about psychoanalysis as a therapeutic method for AP. In this case, only the diagnostic features of this technique are of interest. The essence of psychoanalysis, which is based on the search for the causes of the so-called echoes of the past, as well as the connection between conscious and unconscious phenomena, can be useful in order to understand the causes of errors and paradoxes that exist in solving the problem of AP. In other words, we are not talking about the nuances of the disease itself, but about the peculiarities of its nature, since the interpretation of the essence of AP determines the principles of treatment and the final results.

Acupressure in Oriental medicine is used as a core therapeutic method due to its therapeutic efficacy and minimal side-effects. However, microcurrent stimulation, combined with acupressure and grounding, has not been studied under acupressure conditions in terms of how this combination might affect acupressure therapy's effectiveness. This paper clarifies the new concept of acupressure stimulation combined with a microcurrent that generates electron flow during earthing. In grounding the body, there is free electron movement from and to the body that creates microcurrent. Acupressure uses these currents to activate specific acupoints for therapeutic purposes and activating these acupoints adjust the imbalance between Qi across channels (meridians) and ultimately treat diseases. It is time for proper research and implementation of this technique to increase acupressure efficacy and reduce society's cost.
