The methods of studying the objective condition of the patient in the treatment and rehabilitation in traditional oriental medicine from pulse diagnostics to electro-puncture diagnostics (EPD) have been analyzed. It is noted that the development of medicine seeks to level the subjectivity of the diagnostician through the use of objective parameters of sympathetic and parasympathicotonia of representative of biologically active points (BAP). Methods that are not able to perform such a task (Folls EPD) cannot be considered scientific. The authors technique of the Nakatani EPD variant, protected by a patent, on the example of examination of patients with MI when prescribing cardioselective BAB is presented. The physiological indicators of maxima and minima of electro-skin potential of BAP as daily and monthly cycles of an organism are described by the east medicine considered. It is reasonable to believe that the physiological rhythms of the body recorded in the EPD are a valuable method of verification and interpretation of research results.

Objective: This research reviews and investigates the trends in recent clinical studies of polycystic kidney disease (PKD) in China. Method: We searched for clinical studies discussing Oriental medicine-based treatments for PKD in the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) database. Thirteen clinical articles published from 2001 to 2019 were analyzed. The search focused on the authors, publication year, type of study, purposes of study, method and duration of treatment, evaluation criteria, and results of the selected articles. Results: Of the articles from the database, 9 case series and 4 randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were analyzed. Ten articles used herbal medicine; 4 used herbal medicine for external use. Gamigyejibokryeong-hwan was the most common herbal prescription. The most frequently used herb was Polia Sclerotium (茯苓), and Cnidii Rhizoma (川芎) was employed in all the external uses. All 13 studies confirmed the efficacy of Oriental medicine treatments. Conclusion:1. Scientifically designed and more varied clinical studies are required to develop treatments for PKD. 2. The current study could be used as basic data in future clinical studies on treatment and further studies of PKD.

Acupressure in Oriental medicine is used as a core therapeutic method due to its therapeutic efficacy and minimal side-effects. However, microcurrent stimulation, combined with acupressure and grounding, has not been studied under acupressure conditions in terms of how this combination might affect acupressure therapy's effectiveness. This paper clarifies the new concept of acupressure stimulation combined with a microcurrent that generates electron flow during earthing. In grounding the body, there is free electron movement from and to the body that creates microcurrent. Acupressure uses these currents to activate specific acupoints for therapeutic purposes and activating these acupoints adjust the imbalance between Qi across channels (meridians) and ultimately treat diseases. It is time for proper research and implementation of this technique to increase acupressure efficacy and reduce society's cost.

The utilization of cosmetic raw materials for medicinal purposes in a microneedle patch containing hyaluronic acid (HA) and Lonicerae flos ethanol extract (LEE) has increased based on their eco-friendly characteristics. The moisturizing effects of this microneedle patch were assessed on the forearms of 20 female participants, and our results showed an increase between 29.60% and 88.54% in skin moisture content at the same time points relative to the untreated group. Apart from confirming the safety of HA and Lonicerae flos, our findings may also promote the use of HA and medicinal herbs in relevant industries, indicating their potential as raw ingredients for the development of cosmetic products and topical dermatological drugs. The results suggested that HA, Lonicerae flos, and other combinations of chemical and natural products based on traditional oriental medicine could beneficially affect skin health.
