The primary condition of a blessed family is to live in moral holiness and mutual respect for one another. When concern for family members is neglected, what happens is a tragedy that divides the family. Likewise with Noah's family, unable to maintain the integrity of the family due to the dishonor of Ham's behavior. Blessings and curses follow this attitude. This study explores the meaning of Genesis 9:18-29 using the Narrative Method, which is then relevant to the present. This study proves that respect for each family member will bring blessings to the next generation, and vice versa, that disrespect brings division to the family and its descendants.

The researcher in this research paper explores and explains the symbolism of the place where the events took place in Ghassan Kanafani’s novel titled The Three Letters from Palestine. The researcher adopted the qualitative approach in an attempt to examine the symbolism of the spatial element in Three Letters from Palestine and its significance and the deep meaning behind the literal meaning of these symbols. The research reveals the symbolism of place employed in Kanafani's short story, through which he explains his connection to the homeland and concepts related to the Palestinian cause such as belonging to the place, identity, and the Palestinian heritage. This narrative method is one of the methods adopted by Kanafani in his writing, which was intended to link the reader with the events of the short story and its spatial elements.

The parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector (Luke 18:9-14) contains an enigmatic expression παρ’ ἐκεῖνον (v.14) which conveys the final judgment on the characters. It is not entirely clear whether it should be interpreted in a comparative or exclusive sense. The present study aims to examine the way the narrator presents the two characters of the parable, the Pharisee and the tax collector, as well as the content of their prayers. Narrative criticism suggests that although both interpretations (comparative and exclusive) are possible it might be better to construe παρ’ ἐκεῖνον with a distinctive value. In fact, the new condition of the tax collector is different from his previous one and clearly distinguishes him from the condition of the Pharisee. In other words, the application of the narrative method suggests to translate the enigmatic complement παρ’ ἐκεῖνον in such a way that it makes visible the difference existing between the two characters.

The implicit is the narrative technique used to give indirect hidden messages. To read between the lines means to understand the implicit meaning that is not directly indicated. This technique is expressed in two forms: the hypothesis and the implications of linguistic and non-linguistic rules. Nathalie Sarraute’s "Pour un oui ou pour un non" states this narrative method through her character’s verbal and non-verbal dialogue. The present paper discusses the implicit method and shows the reason behind which the author uses it in her play "Pour un oui ou pour un non".

This article examines the costs faculty pay to gain status and security in the academy. Academics receive salaries for their work, but also “pay taxes” in order to maintain a positive trajectory toward the ultimate “prize”—promotion and tenure (PT). The psychology of narrative method is used to examine the articulation of the PT process for two Black faculty in educational leadership. Findings offer that the taxes assessed are: credibility tax, leading edge tax, group status tax, and retaliation tax. Narratives culminate in a discussion of the academic labor costs and racial battle fatigue of justice work for Black faculty.

Human flourishing is gaining recognition and support as a central aim of therapeutic recreation (TR) services. However, missing from the extant scholarly literature are concrete, extensive depictions of people with disabilities who are living well. This is a critical omission because people need to be aware there are a multitude of avenues that lead to flourishing and that what flourishing looks like can differ from person to person. Furnishing portrayals of living well helps people grasp the diversity associated with flourishing and enables them to select and pursue a particular portrayal or meld multiple portrayals into a composite best suited to them and their environments. This article begins addressing the deficit by presenting a detailed portrait of human flourishing via a personal narrative. The text also discusses practical applications associated with using the personal narrative method and concludes with future objectives.

The report is devoted to a narrative approach in history of philosophy. The narrative method opposes, but does not compete with traditional work of the history of philosophy. The dialogue way of writing and reading philo-sophical texts is one ofthe most suitable objects for a narrative approach and is able to give a new look at the problems facing the history of philosophy, since it gives the reader an opportunity to engage in dialogue and in-teract with the author. Thus, texts written in the dialogue genre in earlier eras could without prejudice to their content and understanding, be moved into a contemporary context and involved in a dialogue with modernity.
