The training of special ability of skiing should start from the control of body posture ability to highlight the characteristics of the sports. Thus, the athletes can have the sports ability in the process of high-speed skiing. This paper establishes a system to automatically recognize the skiing posture which can help athletes grasp the skiing postures. First, the skiing images are collected by distributed camera. Second, the skeleton features are extracted to learn a classification model which is used to recognize and adjust skiing postures. Lastly, the analytical results of posture recognition is returned to athletes through Internet of bodies. The framework can effectively recognize the skiing postures and provide athletes with training advices.

This study examines the pricing strategy of a parking sharing platform that rents the daytime-usage rights of private parking spaces from parking owners and sells them to parking users. In an urban area with both shared parking and curbside parking, a choice equilibrium model is proposed to predict the number of shared parking users under any given pricing strategy of the platform. We analytically analyze how the pricing strategy of the platform (price charged on users and rent paid to parking owners or sharers) would affect the parking choice equilibrium and several system efficiency metrics. It is shown that the platform is profitable when some parking owners have a relatively small inconvenience cost from sharing their spaces, but its profit is always negative at minimum social cost. Numerical studies are conducted to illustrate the analytical results and provide further understanding.

In the present paper, an MHD three-dimensional non-Newtonian fluid flow over a porous stretching/shrinking sheet in the presence of mass transpiration and thermal radiation is examined. This problem mainly focusses on an analytical solution; graphene water is immersed in the flow of a fluid to enhance the thermal efficiency. The given non-linear PDEs are mapped into ODEs via suitable transformations, then the solution is obtained in terms of incomplete gamma function. The momentum equation is analyzed, and to derive the mass transpiration analytically, this mass transpiration is used in the heat transfer analysis and to find the analytical results with a Biot number. Physical significance parameters, including volume fraction, skin friction, mass transpiration, and thermal radiation, can be analyzed with the help of graphical representations. We indicate the unique solution at stretching sheet and multiple solution at shrinking sheet. The physical scenario can be understood with the help of different physical parameters, namely a Biot number, magnetic parameter, inverse Darcy number, Prandtl number, and thermal radiation; these physical parameters control the analytical results. Graphene nanoparticles are used to analyze the present study, and the value of the Prandtl number is fixed to 6.2. The graphical representations help to discuss the results of the present work. This problem is used in many industrial applications such as Polymer extrusion, paper production, metal cooling, glass blowing, etc. At the end of this work, we found that the velocity and temperature profile increases with the increasing values of the viscoelastic parameter and solid volume fraction; additionally, efficiency is increased for higher values of thermal radiation.

Previously published analytical results for the effects of a high-frequency laser field on hydrogen Rydberg atoms demonstrated that the unperturbed elliptical orbit of the Rydberg electron, generally is engaged simultaneously in the precession of the orbital plane about the direction of the laser field and in the precession within the orbital plane. These results were obtained while disregarding relativistic effects. In the present paper, we analyze the relativistic effect for hydrogenic Rydberg atoms or ions in a high-frequency linearly- or circularly-polarized laser field, the effect being an additional precession of the electron orbit in its own plane. For the linearly-polarized laser field, the general case, where the electron orbit is not perpendicular to the direction of the laser field, we showed that the precession of the electron orbit within its plane can vanish at some critical polar angle θc of the orbital plane. We calculated analytically the dependence of the critical angle on the angular momentum of the electron and on the parameters of the laser field. Finally, for the particular situation, where the electron orbit is perpendicular to the direction of the laser field, we demonstrated that the relativistic precession and the precession due to the laser field occur in the opposite directions. As a result, the combined effect of these two kinds of the precession is smaller than the absolute value of each of them. We showed that by varying the ratio of the laser field strength F to the square of the laser field frequency ω, one can control the precession frequency of the electron orbit and even make the precession vanish, so that the elliptical orbit of the electron would become stationary. This is a counterintuitive result.

Abstract This article focuses on the establishment of a winery on the Roman imperial estate at Vagnari in southeast Italy in the 2nd c. CE and the ceramic vats (dolia defossa) needed to mature and store the estate's vintages. A scientific analysis of the clay used to make the dolia has revealed their likely place of manufacture to have been in Latium or on the border between Latium and Campania on the Tyrrhenian (west) coast of Italy. With these analytical results in hand, it is now possible to inquire into the historical and economic significance for the imperial fiscus of importing dolia for wine making in the vicus at Vagnari, the route and mechanisms by which they might have traveled to the other side of the Italian peninsula, and the connectivity between this Apulian imperial estate and other potential imperial properties in western Italy. This places the present study at the intersection of agriculture, manufacturing, and property transfer within the patrimonium Caesaris.

The chapter provides a greater insight on the background work and the reports generated based on the analytical results gathered from the data set. In this pandemic situation, such reports will be a great benefit to assess the history of occurrence and the current status of the COVID-19 situation in India.

Although piezocomposite (PC) materials have increasingly attracted researchers, there is still a need to properly and easily derive their properties. We develop a generalized homogenization model (GHM) that accounts for Smith and Cha approaches to evaluate the equivalent characteristics of piezocomposites. This method could be applied to all connectivities patterns, but restricted herein to 2-2 and 1-3 piezocomposites for comparison with Smith (1-3) and Cha (2-2) analytical results. In the proposed GHM is a parameter θ, is changed for various connectivities. The 1-3 and 2-2 PZT-7A/Araldite D (PCs) data are used and equivalent characteristics of these Pcs are determined as function of volume fraction of PZT-7A piezoelectric. Results show that the electromechanical coefficients are well fitted by Voigt and Reuss models. Results obtained for some parameters show that the proposed GHM is consistent with the analytical existing models used for the 1-3 and 2-2 connectivities and is in line with measured values from Chan and Unsworth (1989). Based on the GHM 2-2 configuration results of piezocomposite materials, the electroacoustic responses of transducers having some of these properties are simulated using the KLM model. A performance trade-off was chosen, resulting in an improved thickness coupling coefficient and a lowered acoustical impedance, and a similar approach as that on a pure PZT-7A.

This paper aims to study the bearing capacity of a shallow foundation on rock mass, considering the most usual bridge footing width and adopting a Hoek–Brown material. The dimension of the foundation has been shown to be very significant in soils with linear failure criteria (Mohr–Coulomb envelope), and its study is necessary in the case of non-linear failure criteria, typical of rock masses. Analytical solutions do not allow incorporating this effect. A parametric study by a finite difference method was carried out, studying a wide variety of rock mass through sensitivity analysis of three geotechnical parameters: geological origin of the rock mass (mi), uniaxial compressive strength, and geological strength index. The results obtained by the numerical solution for the Hoek–Brown failure criterion were compared with the analytical results by adopting the classical hypotheses of plane strain conditions, associated flow rule, and weightless rock mass. The variation of the numerical bearing capacity due to the consideration of the self-weight of the rock mass was also analyzed since its influence is conditioned by the volume of ground mobilized and therefore by the width of the foundation. Considering the similarities observed between the numerical and analytical results, a correlation factor function of the self-weight is proposed. It can be used in conjunction with the analytical method, to estimate in a semi-analytical way the bearing capacity of a bridge foundation.
