Education 4.0 is the answer to the global needs for the advanced integration of humans and technology. Leading school’s technology utilization can be the way forward to support education 4.0 realization. This study aims to investigate the effects and roles of principals’ technology leadership towards teachers’ ICT utilization and students’ academic performance in secondary schools in Selangor, Malaysia. This empirical study uses a set of questionnaires to gather information from respondents who are in the teaching profession. A total of 310 questionnaires were completed and analyzed. The findings have shown significant positive impacts between the effects of the technology leadership roles of principals on teachers’ effective ICT utilization and students’ academic performance. The integration of ICT and technological tools in schools has a great challenge towards the new era of the Education 4.0 system. This suggests that principals who embrace technology will effectively lead their schools to acquire educational resources to enhance student engagement and learning.

The self-efficacy of teachers is an important aspect that must be considered in evaluating educational systems. It is affected by several factors such as teachers’ professional development, motivation, and satisfaction. These factors are in turn, affected by leadership roles in the educational system. This paper aimed to determine the correlation between the role of leadership and teachers’ self-efficacy through these factors. A qualitative approach was used where secondary analysis of written articles was conducted. The demographic of the sample in each journal article studied included primary, secondary, and tertiary schoolteachers in Europe. Results show that the factors under study are affected by the leadership roles of principals, school administrators, and teachers. Leadership roles improve teachers’ professional development, boost motivation, and increase job satisfaction which as a result, affects the self-efficacy of teachers. Thus, the leadership roles of principals, school administrators, and teachers, particularly a transformational type of leadership in contrast with a transactional form of leadership, affect the self-efficacy of teachers positively and ultimately their performance in their classes.

The principals roles in leading educational institutions are very important, especially in determining the direction and educational policies. The principal is a leader who encourages the school to realize its vision, mission, goals, and programs in a planned manner to establish a high-quality school. Therefore, this research aims to describe and analyze the roles of principals in improving the quality of Islamic education in Bandar Lampung. The approach of this research was descriptive qualitative. In collecting the data, observation, interviews, and documentation were employed. The researchers then analyzed the collected data through data presentation, data reduction, and conclusion. The sources of data were the principals, vice-principals, teachers, employees, and students. It can be concluded that the principals role is first, formulating competency standards for graduates to compete in leading universities, both public and private. Second, special class students must memorize chapter 30 of the Quran and at least 1 chapter for general class students. The graduates are required to master three languages: English, Arabic, German / French. Third, monitoring the learning process through CCTV makes it easier to observe students and teachers during the teaching and learning activities. Fourth, the implementation of varied assessment standards between subjects and grades by referring to the 2013 curriculum.

This study has two goals: (a) to assess the contributions of teamwork and demographics to teachers’ motivation to leave the profession and (b) to identify the actions teachers believe they and their principals should take to foster teamwork. A sample of 322 U.S. public school teachers participated. Grade level was found to predict teachers’ motivation to quit. The roles of principals and teachers in fostering teamwork were also discussed.

Abstract Education policy should be supported by educational actors (teachers) who are at the forefront. Efforts to improve the quality of education need to be done gradually based on the strategic plan. One of the efforts to improve teachers' professionalism is through the supervision of teaching. The principal in fostering teacher professionalism is by way of coaching, including (1) developing teachers’ knowledge by suporting them to persue higher education, (2) developing teaching strategy by helping them make learning device, and (3) developing teacher code of ethics by providing role model. ملخص سياسة التربية لابد أن يؤيدها عامل التربية الذي يوجد في المقدمة وهو المدرس الذي يمارس عملية التعليم .ومحاولة ترقية جودة التربية لابد أن تنفذ تدريجيا معتمدا على الخطة الاستراتيجية .ومحاولة ترقية كفاءة المدرس تكون بوسيلة إشراف التعليم .ويمكن أن يقوم مدير المدرسة بتنمية كفائة المدرس عن طريق )إشراف كفاءة المدرس العلمية، وذلك عن طريق 1 : الإشراف، )2 . تشجيعه في ترقية مستوى دراسته بمواصلة دراسته إلى المستوى الأعلى إشراف استراتيجية التعليم، وذلك عن طريق مساعدته في إيجاد والوسائل )إشراف في الناحية السلوكية للمدرس، وذلك أن يكون مدير 3 .التعليمية المدرسة قدوة لغيره. Upaya meningkatkan mutu pendidikan perlu dilakukan secara bertahap dengan mengacu pada rencana strategis. Salah satu upaya peningkatan profesional guru adalah melalui supervisi pengajaran. Kepala sekolah dalam membina profesionalisme guru adalah dengan cara pembinaan, meliputi; 1) Pembinaan keilmuan guru, yaitu salah satunya dengan cara mersupport/mendorong peningkatan kualifikasi guru untuk meningkatkan pendidikan ke jenjang yang lebih tinggi 2) Pembinaan strategi pengajaran, yaitu dengan cara membantu guru dalam pembuatan perangkat pembelajaran. Dan 3) Pembinaan kode etik guru, yaitu bahwa, kepala sekolah dapat di jadikan teladan.

This study aims at identifying the role played by school principals in the Governorate of Ma’an to strengthen intellectual security of the school students; and identifying whether there are statistically significant differences in the roles of principals attributed to the variables: gender, academic level, and years of experience in administration.To achieve this, the researchers adopted the descriptive approach which is appropriate for the nature of this study. Data were collected and analyzed by using a questionnaire that determines the role of school principals in the promotion of intellectual security. The questionnaire includes three areas: the role of principals toward teachers, the role of principals toward school activities, and the role of principals toward community service. The study sample consisted of 120 male and female school principals in Ma’an governorate.The results showed that the arithmetic means of the three domains in the questionnaire ranged from (3.547-4.129) with high degree of agreement; where the domain: “the role of principals toward teachers” scored the highest value, and the domain: “the role of principals toward community service” scored the lowest value.
