The principals roles in leading educational institutions are very important, especially in determining the direction and educational policies. The principal is a leader who encourages the school to realize its vision, mission, goals, and programs in a planned manner to establish a high-quality school. Therefore, this research aims to describe and analyze the roles of principals in improving the quality of Islamic education in Bandar Lampung. The approach of this research was descriptive qualitative. In collecting the data, observation, interviews, and documentation were employed. The researchers then analyzed the collected data through data presentation, data reduction, and conclusion. The sources of data were the principals, vice-principals, teachers, employees, and students. It can be concluded that the principals role is first, formulating competency standards for graduates to compete in leading universities, both public and private. Second, special class students must memorize chapter 30 of the Quran and at least 1 chapter for general class students. The graduates are required to master three languages: English, Arabic, German / French. Third, monitoring the learning process through CCTV makes it easier to observe students and teachers during the teaching and learning activities. Fourth, the implementation of varied assessment standards between subjects and grades by referring to the 2013 curriculum.

Management of  Islamic education institutions can be defined  as a form of cooperation to carry out planning functions, organizing, preparation of personnel or staffing, direction and leadership, and supervision of the efforts of members  of  Islamic  education  institutions  and  the  use  of  human,  financial, physical and other resources by making Islam the foundation and guide in their operational practices to achieve the objectives of Islamic education institutions in various types and forms which essentially try to help someone or a group of students in instilling teachings and / or develop Islamic values. This study wanted to find out the management and defense owned by Islamic education institutions in  managing  Islamic  education  institutions.  This  study aims  to  determine the management and challenges of Islamic education institutions in the tahfiẓ al- Qur'an program in Ma’had Umar Bin Al-Khattab, Muhammadiyah University of Surabaya. This type of research is qualitative research, namely research that produces descriptive data, namely a type of research that seeks to present data and actual facts about the management of Islamic education institutions in the tahfiẓ al-Qur'an program in Ma'had Umar Bin Al-Khattab University Muhammadiyah Surabaya. Data collection techniques used in this study were (1) interview (2) observation (3) documentation. For data analysis using descriptive techniques, the application is carried out in three activities, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion or verification. The results of this study indicate that first, planning in Ma'had Tahfiẓ Umar Bin Al-Khattab Surabaya carried out activities (1) developing a strategic plan, which included vision and mission, objectives, strategic programs, implementation strategies, monitoring and evaluation; (2) arranging the rules of the santri (3) compiling technical guidelines for the implementation of activities. Second, organizing in managing Ma'had Tahfiẓ Umar Bin Al-Khattab, including (1) arranging the organizational structure and the map of the program's responsibility (2) preparing the tasks and positions of each personnel (3) structuring the program. Third, the mobilization in Ma'had Tahfiẓ Umar Bin Al- Khattab was said to be (1) motivating; (2) coordination; (3) leadership and (4) maintaining good relations with ustadh, santri and staff. Fourth, controlling in Ma'had Tahfiẓ Umar Bin Al-Khattab is divided into (1) monitoring and evaluation (2) assessment. Fifth, the constraints of management of Islamic education institutions in the Islamic program in Ma'ad Umar Bin Al-Khattab consist of, (1) financial activities and operations in Ma'had Tahfiad Umar Bin Al-Khattab Surabaya still rely on permanent donors; (2) makeshift facilities; (3) Inadequate human resources. The six obstacles faced in the tahfiẓ al-Qur'an program are (1) the saturation and laziness felt by the santri in carrying out established programs; (2)  guarding  the memorization  of  the  Qur'an  that  has  been  memorized  (3) guarding themselves from immorality. From the results of this study it can be suggested (1) in improving the quality of Islamic education institutions, Ma'had Tahfiẓ Umar Bin Al-Khattab Surabaya should improve the quality of institutional management; (2) The Asia Muslim Charity Foundation (AMCF) should provide funds for operational and learning activities that exist in Ma’had Tahfiẓ Umar Bin Al-Khattab Surabaya; (3) The Asia Muslim Charity Foundation (AMCF) and the Muhammadiyah Union pay more attention to existing facilities in Ma’had Tahfiẓ Umar Bin Al-Khattab Surabaya. (4) the results of this study can be used as reference material in developing and implementing management of educational institutions, especially in Islamic education institutions that implement the tahfiẓ al-Qur'an program; (5) the need for development research on the comparison of management of Islamic education institutions in the tahfiẓ al-Qur'an program, especially the management of educational institutions in Ma’had Tahfiẓ Umar Bin Al-Khattab Surabaya.

AbstrakKepala Madrasah merupakan orang yang memiliki tenaga fungsional guru yang bertugas sebagai pemimpin dilembaga pendidikan, yang menyelenggarakan sebuah kegiatan belajar mengajar sehingga terjadinya interaksi antara seorang murid dan guru. Akan tetapi, kepala madrasah masih belum melaksanakn tugasnya dengan baik. Apabila Madrasah ingin mencapai tujuan yang direncanakan, seorang kepala madrasah harus menciptakan dan menjadikan guru sebagai guru yang professional serta bertanggungjawab atas pembelajaran. Dengan adanya guru yang professional, dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar akan menjadi mudah, efektif dan efisien serta memiliki output yang luar biasa baik segi ilmu umum maupun ilmu agama. Oleh karena itu, maka madrasah membutuhkan guru PAI yang berkualitas dan professional. Karena dengan adanya guru yang professional akan menjadikan madrasahan lebih disiplin. Oleh sebab itu, seorang kepala madrasah sebagai educator, motivator, innovator dan supervisor dalam lembaga pendidikan dituntut untuk memfasilitasi dan mengambangkan serta melengkapi kebutuhan agar menjadi guru yang profesional. Kata Kunci :Kepala Madrasah, motivator, Inovator, Profesional guru        Abstract The principal is a person who has a functional position as teacher and served as a leader in educational institutions, which organizes a teaching and learning activities so that the interaction between student dan teacher are occur. However, the principal still has not done a good job. If the school want to achieve its intended purpose, a principal must create dan make the teacher to be a professional teacher and responsible for learning. With the existence of a professional teacher in teaching and learning acitivities will be easy, effective and efficient and has a remarkable output. Therefore, the school requires Islamic education teacher whose qualified and professional. Because with the existence of a professional teacher will make the school more disciplined. Abstrak: Wabah Pandemi Covid-19 sudah hampir satu tahun terjadi di negara kita tercinta Indonesia. Kemunculan wabah Covid-19 memicu terjadinya berbagai perubahan dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan, baik dari segi aspek sosial, kesehatan, pendidikan, dan lain sebagainya. Selain itu, dengan adanya wabah Covid-19 ini menyebabkan munculnya berbagai kebijakan-kebijakan baru yang disusun oleh pemerintah guna memutus mata rantai penyebaran Covid-19. Termasuk di dalamnya yaitu kebijakan dalam sektor pendidikan. Sesuai dengan kebijakan yang dikeluarkan oleh Kemendikbud, bahwa demi memutus mata rantai penyebaran wabah Covid-19 kegiatan belajar mengajardiberbagai jenjang pendidikan dilaksanakan secara daring (dalam jaringan)dan luring (luar jaringan). Hal ini menjadi sesuatu yang baru dalam dunia pendidikan kita tentunya. Yang mana biasanaya proses belajar mengajar dilakukan secara langsung. Kini, pada saat pandemi covid-19 dengan terpaksa harus dilakukan dengan menggunakan media internet  atau disebut dengan istilah daring (dalam jaringan). Dengan adanya kebijakan tersebut menjadi tantangan tersendiri bagi guru dan siswa sebagai pelaku pendidikan, terutama di daerah-daerah yang minim teknologi dan jaringan internet. Tantangan tersebut berlaku bagi semua guru lembaga pendidikan, tak terkecuali para guru dalam naungan lembaga pendidikan Islam. Kata Kunci: kebijakan pendidikan, Pendidikan Islam Abstract: The Covid-19 pandemic has occurred in our beloved country Indonesia for almost a year. The emergence of the Covid-19 outbreak triggered various changes in various aspects of life, both in terms of social, health, education, and so on. In addition, the Covid-19 outbreak has led to the emergence of various new policies formulated by the government to break the chain of spreading Covid-19. This includes policies in the education sector. In accordance with the policy issued by the Ministry of Education and Culture, that in order to break the chain of the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak, teaching and learning activities at various levels of education are carried out online (online) and offline (outside the network). This is something new in our world of education. Which is usually the teaching and learning process carried out directly. Now, when the Covid-19 pandemic has to be done with the internet media or referred to as online (in the network). With the existence of this policy, it is a challenge for teachers and students as actors of education, especially in areas that lack technology and internet networks.This challenge applies to all teachers of educational institutions, including teachers under Islamic education institutions. Keywords: Education policy, Islamic education

The accuracy and reliability is the quality of the information. The more accurate and reliable, the more information it’s good quality. Similarly, a survey, the better the survey, the more accurate the information provided. Implementation of student satisfaction measurement to the process of teaching and learning activities on the quality of the implementation of important lectures in order to get feedback on the assessed variables and for future repair. Likewise in Higher Education Prog has undertaken the process of measuring student satisfaction through a distributed questioner finally disemester each class lecture. However, the deployment process questioner is identified there are 7 (seven) problems. However, the problem can be resolved by the 3 (three) ways of solving problems one of which is a system of iLearning Survey (Isur), that is by providing an online survey to students that can be accessed anywhere and anytime. In the implementation shown a prototype of Isur itself. It can be concluded that the contribution Isur system can maximize the decision taken by the Higher Education Prog. By using this Isur system with questions and evaluation forms are submitted and given to the students and the other colleges. To assess the extent to which the campus has grown and how faculty performance in teaching students class, and can be used as a media Isur valid information for an assessment of activities throughout college.

This paper aims to reflect an effort to identify the problems associated with the educational learning process, as well as its function to express some inherent considerations to the most effective forms of the classroom management. Mentioned in this discussion are ways of management for various categories of students, not only from an intellectual level, but also by their behavior. Also, in the elaboration of this theme I was considering that in addition to other development directions of the country, an important place is occupied by the education of the younger generation in our school environments and especially in adopting the methods of teaching and learning management with a view to enable this generation to be competitive in the European labor market. This, of course, can be achieved by giving this generation the best values of behavior, cultural level, professional level and ethics one of an European family which we belong to, not just geographically. On such foundations, we have tried to develop this study, always improving the reality of the prolonged transition in the field of children’s education. Likewise, we have considered the factors that have left their mark on the structure, cultural level and general education level of children, such as high demographic turnover associated with migration from rural and urban areas, in the capacity of our educational institutions to cope with new situations etc. In the conclusions of this study is shown that there is required a substantial reform even in the pro-university educational system to ensure a significant improvement in the behavior of children, relations between them and the sound quality of their preparation. Used literature for this purpose has not been lacking, due to the fact that such problems are usually treated by different scholars. Likewise, we found it appropriate to use the ideas and issues discussed by the foreign literature that deals directly with classroom management problems. All the following treatise is intended to reflect the way of an effective classroom management.

Abstract: Islamic education institutions in Indonesia face two challenges, namely; internal and external. Internally, Islamic education is faced with the classic problem of the low quality of human resources in education management. The causes include poor quality and education staff development and selectivity of education personnel. Furthermore externally, Islamic education institutions faced three major issues; globalization, democratization, and liberalization. The issue of globalization that is identical with market orientation and mechanism also affects the world of education. That way in education also includes awareness about how to attract and convince the community of the type and model of education. From here, the education world is ready or not ready to be involved in competition to gain public trust. To face these challenges Islamic Education institutions must maximally manage and empower all elements of management in the management of educational institutions. A good understanding of the elements of management can have an impact on the readiness of educational institutions to manage their institutions well in any condition to be the best and foremost. Abstractlearning process  good teaching  can create a situation that allows children to learn, so that is the starting point of the success of teaching. The low quality of education depends on the management of the teaching and learning process which can be interpreted as being less effective in the teaching and learning process, the causes: (1) Low learning activities, (2) Inadequate facilities and infrastructure. The case in Solok City Middle School, the low level of student learning activities allegedly influenced the low student learning outcomes. Based on observations on class VIII A which included the superior class had not yet achieved the desired completeness, the class with the least completeness was class VIII B which was 33.33% with KKM 65 criteria. Seeing this reality, teachers were required to motivate students and foster enthusiasm student learning. Therefore, to foster students' enthusiasm for learning, the author tries to apply student learning activities through discussion methods in small groups.Keywords: Learning, discussion AbstrakProses belajar mengajar yang baik dapat menciptakan situasi yang mmemungkinkan anak belajar, sehingga merupakan titik awal keberhasilan pengajaran. Rendahnya mutu pendidikan tergantung pada pengelolaan proses belajar mengajar yang dapat diartikan kurang efektifnya proses belajar mengajar, penyebabnya: (1) Rendahnya aktifitas belajar,  (2) Sarana dan prasarana yang belum memadai. Kasus pada SMP Negeri % Kota Solok rendahnya aktifitas belajar siswa diduga berpengaruh terhadap rendahnya hasil belajar siswa. Berdasarkan pengamatanpada  kelas VIII A yang termasuk kelas unggul belum mencapai ketuntasan yang di inginkan, sedangkan kelas yang paling sedikit ketuntasannya adalah kelas VIII B yaitu sebanyak 33,33 % dengan kriterian KKM 65. Melihat kenyataan tersebut, guru dituntut untuk dapat memotivasi siswa dan menumbuhkan semangat belajar siswa. Karena itu, untuk menumbuhkan semangat belajar siswa, penulis mencoba untuk menerapkan aktivitas belajar siswa melalui metode diskusi dalam kelompok kecil. Kata kunci: Pembelajaran, diskusi

The aim of this study was to identify and analyse the Islamic Education teachers’ attitudes, difficulties and purposes while using social media in the educational processes in the Saudi context. In doing so, this study adopted a quantitative, descriptive approach based on empirical data collected by means of a questionnaire. The study sample consisted of 124 teachers of Islamic Education in Hail, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). While the participants reported positive attitudes towards the use of social media in the educational processes, the results showed their low use of social media which was limited mainly to personal purposes rather than using them for teaching learning activities. Based on the results, the study recommends developing teachers’ knowledge and skills to make them aware of the use of social media in education and encourage them to utilize them for teaching and learning activities. Since social media are ubiquitous and being widely used for personal reasons, their integration into the curricula and syllabi may further increase the teaching and learning of Islamic Education in Saudi Arabia.

This study aims to develop additional teaching materials in the form of e-Modul Bryophyta dengan Kajian Islam, as well as to determine the quality of the products developed based on the assessment of several validations, teachers, and students as respondents. The data collection instrument used a questionnaire. Descriptive qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The results of the research obtained indicate that the Bryophyta e-Module with Islamic Studies developed as a whole has the quality Very Fit for use in teaching and learning activities. With the percentage results from material experts of 89.2% with Very Feasible criteria, from media experts of 71.6% with Eligible criteria, from Islamic Religion experts of 82.6% with Very Appropriate criteria and an assessment of the teacher of 82.5% with criteria Very Eligible for use in teaching and learning activities. Meanwhile, the response of students obtained the overall percentage of small and large group tests of 85.2% with very attractive criteria. Thus, it can be concluded that e-Modul Bryophyta dengan Kajian Islam, which was developed with the Borg & Gall model, is feasible and very attractive to be used as teaching material for students in class X MIA in Ma, especially in Bryophyta lessons.
