The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of social media marketing on small market purchase decisions and to analyze the influence of the store environment on small market purchase decisions. The study also analyzes the influence of sales promotion on small market purchase decisions as well as the effect of perceived value on small market purchase decisions. The study uses a quantitative method and data collection is performed by distributing questionnaires to 170 respondents who have bought goods in the small market. The research method in this study uses structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis using SmartPLS software. The results of this study reveal that all independent variables have some positive effects on consumer buying decisions. More specifically, the variables of small market environmental conditions, sales promotions, and profit values have significant influences on consumer buying decisions, while social media marketing variables has no significant effect on consumers' buying decisions.

Abstract Background Online grocery stores offer opportunities to encourage healthier food choices at the moment that consumers place a product of their choice in their basket. This study assessed the effect of a swap offer, Nutri-Score labeling, and a descriptive norm message on the nutrient profiling (NP) score of food choices in an online food basket. Additionally explored was whether these interventions made it more motivating and easier for consumers to select healthier foods and whether potential effects were moderated by consumer health interest. Methods Hypotheses were tested with a randomized controlled trial (RCT) in a simulated online supermarket. Dutch participants (n = 550) chose their preferred product out of six product options for four different categories (breakfast cereals, crackers, pizza, and muesli bars). Participants were randomly allocated to one of eight groups based on the interventions in a 2 (Nutri-Score: present, not present) X 2 (swap offer: present, not present) X 2 (norm message: present, not present) between subject design. The primary outcome was the difference in combined NP score of product choices, for which a lower score represented a healthier product. Results Swap offer (B = − 9.58, 95% CI: [− 12.026; − 7.132], Ƞ2 = 0.098) and Nutri-Score labeling (B = − 3.28, 95% CI: [− 5.724; −.829], Ƞ2 = 0.013) significantly improved the combined NP score compared to the control condition (NP score M = 18.03, SD = 14.02), whereas a norm message did not have a significant effect (B = − 1.378, 95% CI [− 3.825; 1.070], Ƞ2 = 0.002). No evidence was found that interventions made it more motivating or easier for consumers to select healthier food, but situational motivation significantly influenced the healthiness score of food choices for both swap offer (b = − 3.40, p < .001) and Nutri-Score (b = − 3.25, p < .001). Consumer health interest only significantly moderated the influence of Nutri-Score on ease of identifying the healthy food option (b = .23, p = .04). Conclusions Swap offer and Nutri-Score labeling were effective in enhancing healthy purchase behavior in the online store environment. Trial registration This study was retrospectively registered in the ISRCTN database on 02-09-2021 (ISRCTN80519674).

Brand loyalty creates long term relationship between customer and brand. As a sportswear brand, to adopt a general customer loyalty to a brand, quality of the product and price are the crucial factors. The purpose of this research is to investigate how the respondents are influenced by factors of brand loyalty towards sportswear products. Previous research adopted seven factors to test in the Malaysian environment. The seven factors of brand loyalty are brand name, product quality, price, style, promotion, service quality and store environment. Brand name has shown strong correlation with brand loyalty. In order to increase customer satisfaction and attach them to be brand loyalists, marketers are encouraged to develop aggressive marketing programs. Questionnaires were distributed to 148 respondents. The research results have shown that there is positive and significant relationship between factors of brand loyalty (brand name, product quality, price, style, promotion, service quality and store environment) with certain sportswear brands. Others study on more focused factors that are appropriate to the Malaysian environment is recommended in order to obtain accurate information.

AbstractThe ongoing development of eXtended Reality (XR) technologies is supporting a rapid increase of their performances along with a progressive decrease of their costs, making them more and more attractive for a large class of consumers. As a result, their widespread use is expected within the next few years. This may foster new opportunities for e-commerce strategies, giving birth to an XR-based commerce (x-commerce) ecosystem. With respect to web and mobile-based shopping experiences, x-commerce could more easily support brick-and-mortar store-like experiences. One interesting and consolidated one amounts to the interactions among customers and shop assistants inside fashion stores. In this work, we concentrate on such aspects with the design and implementation of an XR-based shopping experience, where vocal dialogues with an Amazon Alexa virtual assistant are supported, to experiment with a more natural and familiar contact with the store environment. To verify the validity of such an approach, we asked a group of fashion experts to try two different XR store experiences: with and without the voice assistant integration. The users are then asked to answer a questionnaire to rate their experiences. The results support the hypothesis that vocal interactions may contribute to increasing the acceptance and comfortable perception of XR-based fashion shopping.

The aim of current study is to critically examine impulse buying behaviour of customers through the lens of external stimuli. The current study provides a plethora of evidences to extend our knowledge about the behavioural aspects of consumers and key factors of buying decision. The current study looked into External Stimuli through sub factors such as Store Environment, Income Level, Window Display, Credit Card and Visual merchandising to examine their significance on impulse buying. For finding the correlation and interconnectedness of impulsive buying with the above-mentioned factors, we collected primary data through questionnaire survey, which was then analysed using quantitative analysis method. The findings of our study suggest that Store Environment and Income level are highly influential on impulsive buying behaviour whereas the use of credit card has the least impact on impulsive buying behaviour.

The threat of online shopping propels brick-and-mortar retailers to innovate and design their retail atmosphere to create unforgettable shopping experiences to compete effectively and retain customers. The study firstly identifies store atmospherics factors that enhance the shopping experience and secondly explores the hypothesized relationships between store atmospherics dimensions (lighting, music, layout, and employee interaction) and customer experience. Furthermore, the effect of customer experience and repurchase intention is also explored. A self-administered survey was used, and data were collected from 390 respondents who visit physical clothing stores regularly in the City of Johannesburg in South Africa. The survey results were analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) for descriptive statistics. Covariance-Based Structural Equation Modelling (CB-SEM) was utilized for the path analysis. The findings reveal that only store layout, lighting, and employee interaction are essential elements in creating pleasurable customer in-store experiences (β = 0.163, p = 0.05; β = 0.207, p = 0.01; β = 0.293, p = 0.001). It is also evident that consumers perceive music to be less effective in enhancing their shopping experiences (β = 0.048, p = ns). Moreover, the results show that enriching customer experiences stimulate repeat purchases (β = 0.745, p = 0.001). The findings demonstrate that innovating the store environment should be based on shop layout, illumination, and employee contact to create appealing experiences. This study contributes to consumer and retailing services literature. This study aimed to identify food environment factors in the local community that could affect the levels of nutritional status and frailty in 372 older adults (at least 65 years old) experiencing food insecurity and enrolled in the integrated Community Health Promotion Program (CHPP) in two districts of Seoul. The local food environment was assessed using perceived food store accessibility questionnaires. In order to quantify nutrient intake, the 24-h recall method was applied. Malnutrition was measured using the Mini Nutritional Assessment tool, while frailty was assessed using the Frailty Measurement Questionnaire developed for the CHPP. Malnourished or frail elderly adults commonly had a lower intake of cereals and potatoes, meats, and vegetables than those who were not, and their resulting intake levels of energy, protein, iron, and vitamin groups were also significantly lower (all p-values < 0.05). Among the local community food store environment factors, the sufficiency of food stores (odds ratio (OR) = 1.988, 95% confidence interval (CI] = 1.211–3.262), freshness of foods (OR = 1.767, 95% CI = 1.075–2.886), and variety in foods (OR = 1.961, 95% CI = 1.197–3.212) were significant factors affecting the risk of malnutrition. For frailty, the freshness of foods (OR = 1.997, 95% CI = 1.053–3.788), variety in foods (OR = 2.440, 95% CI = 1.277–4.661), and small purchase of foods (OR = 2.645, 95% CI = 1.362–5.139) were significant environmental factors. In conclusion, we found that the perceived food store environment in the local community can influence the occurrence of malnutrition and frailty in vulnerable, urban older adults.

The development of culinary business in Indonesia, particularly in Surabaya, is growing and developing increasingly. Gatherinc Bistro & Bakery is one of the bistros in Surabaya and is located on Jalan Taman Puspa Raya A2 No. 11, Sambikerep, Surabaya. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of quality of product, price, quality of service, and store atmosphere on customer satisfaction at Gatherinc Bistro & Bakery Surabaya. The method used in this study is quantitative research by giving a questionnaire statement to 100 participants who are customers of Gatherinc Bistro & Bakery Surabaya. This research was tested using the Validity Test, Reliability Test, Classical Assumption Test (Normality Test, Multicollinearity Test, Heteroscedasticity Test), F Test, Multiple Linear Regression Test, Determinant Coefficient, and t test. In the t test, the research results showed that the variable quality of the product (X1) 1.648 < 1.985 with a significant level of 0.103 > 0.050, which means that quality of product has no significant effect on customer satisfaction at Gatherinc Bistro & Bakery Surabaya, variable price (X2) 0.176 < 1.985 with a significant level of 0.861 > 0.050, which means that price does not have a significant effect on customer satisfaction at Gatherinc Bistro & Bakery Surabaya, quality of service (X3) 3.755 > 1.985 with a significant level of 0.000 < 0.050, which means that quality of service has a significant effect on customer satisfaction at Gatherinc Bistro & Bakery Surabaya, and the store atmosphere (X4) 2.280 > 1.985 with a significant level of 0.025 < 0.050, which means that store atmosphere has a significant effect on customer satisfaction at Gatherinc Bistro & Bakery Surabaya. The conclusion of this study is that the product and price quality variables do not have a major impact on customer satisfaction because the quality of products and prices given by Gatherinc Bistro & Bakery Surabaya are not much different from other cafe or bistro in Surabaya, whereas the service quality and store environment variables at Gatherinc Bistro & Bakery Surabaya have an impact on customer satisfaction.
