Gojek is an Indonesian technology company engaged in services through motorcycle taxi services. Gojek itself has more than 20 services offered and is a solution to everyday challenges, ranging from transportation, food delivery, shopping, delivery of goods, payments, massages, to cleaning houses and vehicles. Researchers conducted research on Gojek application users in Surabaya. This research is a research with quantitative method. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling and uses questions on a questionnaire distributed to 75 respondents who are Gojek application users who are at least 17 years old and have used the Gojek application in Surabaya at least 2 times. Thisresearch was conducted using validity test, reliability test, descriptive test, classical assumption test (normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test), multiple linear regression test, determinant coefficient, F test, and t test. The t-test in this study states that the brand image variable (X1) on purchasing decisions (Y) has a t-count value of 1.624 < t-table 1.993 with a significant level of 0.109 > 0.050 which means that brand image has no effect on purchasing decisions of Gojek application users, the trust variable brand (X2) on purchasing decisions (Y) has a t value of 3.209 > t table 1.993 with a significant level of 0.002 < 0.050 which means that brand trust affects the purchasing decisions of Gojek application users, and the privacy security variable (X3) on purchasing decisions (Y) has a t value of 4.018 > t table of 1.993 with a significant level of 0.000 < 0.050 which means that privacy security affects the purchasing decisions of Gojek application users. The results of this study conclude that brand trust and privacy security have a significant effect on the decisions of Gojek users in Surabaya, while brand image does not affect the decisions of Gojek users in Surabaya.

AbstractThe computerized adaptive tests (CAT) apply an adaptive process in which the items are tailored to individuals' ability scores. The multidimensional CAT (MCAT) designs differ in terms of different item selection, ability estimation, and termination methods being used. This study aims at investigating the performance of the MCAT designs used to measure the language ability of students and to compare the results of MCAT designs with the outcomes of corresponding paper–pencil tests. For this purpose, items in the English Proficiency Tests (EPT) were used to create a multi-dimensional item pool that consists of 599 items. The performance of the MCAT designs was evaluated and compared based on the reliability coefficients, root means square error (RMSE), test-length, and root means squared difference (RMSD) statistics, respectively. Therefore, 36 different conditions were investigated in total. The results of the post-hoc simulation designs indicate that the MCAT designs with the A-optimality item selection method outperformed MCAT designs with other item selection methods by decreasing the test length and RMSD values without any sacrifice in test reliability. Additionally, the best error variance stopping rule for each MCAT algorithm with A-optimality item selection could be considered as 0.25 with 27.9 average test length and 30 items for the fixed test-length stopping rule for the Bayesian MAP method. Overall, MCAT designs tend to decrease the test length by 60 to 65 percent and provide ability estimations with higher precision compared to the traditional paper–pencil tests with 65 to 75 items. Therefore, it is suggested to use the A-optimality method for item selection and the Bayesian MAP method for ability estimation for the MCAT designs since the MCAT algorithm with these specifications shows better performance than others.

ObjectivesTo develop the Psychiatric Nurse Self-Efficacy Scales, and to examine their reliability and validity.DesignWe developed the Improved Self-Efficacy Scale (ISES) and Decreased Self-Efficacy Scale (DSES) using existing evidence. Statistical analysis was conducted on the data to test reliability and validity.SettingThe study’s setting was psychiatric facilities in three prefectures in Japan.ParticipantsData from 514 valid responses were extracted of the 786 responses by psychiatric nurses.Outcome measuresThe study measured the reliability and validity of the scales.ResultsThe ISES has two factors (‘Positive changes in the patient’ and ‘Prospect of continuing in psychiatric nursing’) and the DSES has three (‘Devaluation of own role as a psychiatric nurse’, ‘Decrease in nursing ability due to overload’ and ‘Difficulty in seeing any results in psychiatric nursing’). With regard to scale reliability, the Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was 0.634–0.845. With regard to scale validity, as the factorial validity of the ISES and DSES, for the ISES, χ2/df (110.625/37) ratio=2.990 (p<0.001), goodness-of-fit index (GFI)=0.962, adjusted GFI (AGFI)=0.932, comparative fit index (CFI)=0.967 and root mean square error of approximation (RMSEA)=0.062; for the DSES, χ2/df (101.982/37) ratio=2.756 (p<0.001), GFI=0.966, AGFI=0.940, CFI=0.943, RMSEA=0.059 and Akaike Information Criterion=159.982. The concurrent validity of the General Self-Efficacy Scale was r=0.149–0.446 (p<0.01) for ISES and r=−0.154 to −0.462 (p<0.01) for DSES, and the concurrent validity of the Stress Reaction Scale was r=−0.128 to 0.168 for ISES, r=0.214–0.398 for DSES (p<0.01).Statistical analyses showed the scales to be reliable and valid measures.ConclusionsThe ISES and DSES can accurately assess psychiatric nurses’ self-efficacy. Using these scales, it is possible to formulate programmes for improving psychiatric nurses’ feelings of self-efficacy.

Purpose Factory acceptance testing (FAT) in the construction industry has been severely hampered due to restrictions in cross-border travel resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. Consequently, virtual FAT (vFAT) became a popular substitute for physical FAT. However, the credibility of vFAT is being questioned because it was adopted without much scrutiny. Hence, this study is aimed at investigating vFATs and re-engineering the FAT process to suit an effective vFAT environment.Design/methodology/approach A comprehensive literature search on FAT procedures was followed by two stages of expert interviews with eight leading subject experts and a case study. The findings were analysed using code-based content analysis on NVivo software.Findings Strengths of vFATs include “reduction in cost and time consumed”, “flexibility for more participants” and “faster orders”. Most emphasized weaknesses include “lack of reliability” and “lack of technology transfer”. vFAT has mostly increased test reliability by “improving accessibility” and has decreased reliability by “restricting physical touch and feel observation of the equipment”. A four-step vFAT process was developed with a noteworthy additional step called “Pre-FAT Meeting”.Research limitations/implications The scope of this study is limited to the Sri Lankan construction industry. Expansion of the geographical area of focus is recommended for future studies.Originality/value The findings of this study unveil a vFAT process, which is timely and beneficial for construction practitioners to optimize and enhance the effectiveness of vFATs which are currently conducted in a disarranged manner.
