Abstract Nanocolumnar Co thin films growth by oblique angle deposition on Si substrate is experimentally studied. Formation of regular arrays of tilted Co nanocolumns has been observed at incidence angles more than 70°. It was found that the optimal conditions for nanostructuring are realized at the inclination angle 85°. As obtained films have magnetic anisotropy axis inclined to the substrate surface and oriented along nanocolumns. Such films might be perspective material for applications as a magnetic recording media for next generations of hard disks.

Abstract M-type hexaferrites has attracted researchers due to their ordinary magnetic properties and utilization as media for magnetic recording and microwave devices. In this study we have synthesized Ba0.5Sr0.5Fe9Ce1Al2O19 via conventional ceramic route. The synthesized material is treated against different temperatures and investigated structurally and magnetically by using several techniques such as X-ray diffraction, Scanning electron microscopy, and VSM respectively. Morphology of samples confirms the absence of secondary phases and uniform distribution of particles. X-ray diffraction patterns confirms the formation of pure phase of Hexaferrites. Microstructural analyses show the decrease in porosity and dislocations among sintered samples. Magnetic properties for the samples show a decrease in Ms and Mr with increasing temperature from 1225 °C to 1310 °C, while coercivity shows an increase with increasing temperature and maximum coercivity is observed at 1290 °C. The trends and occurrences can be well-linked to the structural variations and sintering effects. The results suggest that material can be used in various magnetic applications such as Recording media, and memory devices.

Improving the Quality of Learning to Listen to Short Stories by Using Recorded Media for Reading Short Stories for Class XI IPA2 Students of SMA Negeri 1 Bontotiro, Bulukumba Regency.” This study aims to describe the improvement in the quality of learning to listen to short stories using short story reading recording media for students of class XI IPA2 SMA Negeri 1 Bontotiro, Bulukumba Regency.             The results of the study prove that improving the quality of learning to listen to short stories using short story reading recording media in class XI IPA2 SMA Negeri 1 Bontotiro Bulukumba Regency at the planning stage found an increase in the ability of teachers in the field of study to plan better learning implementation in cycle II. In the implementation stage, there was an increase in student activity during the learning process, such as the sincerity, discipline, and self-confidence of students following the learning process. The evaluation stage found an increase in the results of the short story listening test, showing that in the first cycle 56.09% of students experienced mastery learning, and in the second cycle it reached 97.56% who experienced learning mastery. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the recording media for reading short stories could improve the quality of learning to listen to short stories in class XI IPA2 SMA Negeri 1 Bontotiro, Bulukumba Regency

Ferrimagnetic thin films formerly played a very important role in the development of information storage technology. Now they are again at the forefront of the rising field of spintronics. From new, more efficient magnetic recording media and sensors based on spin valves to the promising technologies envisaged by all-optical switching, ferrimagnets offer singular properties that deserve to be studies both from the point of view of fundamental physics and for applications. In this review, we will focus on ferrimagnetic thin films based on the combination of rare earths (RE) and transition metals (TM).

The purpose of this classroom action research (CAR) is to improve learning outcomes through Screencast O Matic (SoM) learning media. The subjects in the action research were the students in class XI MIPA-1, SMA Negeri 2 Tarakan; there were 35 students (17 male and 18 female students). The class was chosen because the researcher identified that they were the ones adapting quiet hard to the online learnng in pandemic times. The data collection was carried out through observation, action and documentation. This research was conducted in two cycles, each of which with three meetings. Based on the analysis, it is known that the Google Classroom (GC) platform with a screen recording media of SoM has been proven to improve student learning outcomes. This is evidenced by the learning outcomes at each meeting and cycle. The learning outcomes in the first cycle showed an increase of 11.4%, and at the second cycle it had increased to 77.1%. There were 6 students (17.1%) who failed to get the minimum completeness and 2 students  (5.7%) did not attend the last meeting. Thus, it can be concluded that the two learning media, GC with SoM, are proven to improve student learning outcomes. Therefore, it is recommended that teachers provide appropriate learning media, among of which are GC and SoM. The goal is that learning during this pandemic will still present an interesting and easy to follow learning, which should appropriate to  the student needs.

With the development of computer software and applications, various types of recording media have emerged and evolved. This is a result of the rapid increase in the amount of data created by computers and the constant demand for large-capacity storage media. As large-capacity recording media have become available at low prices, the number of content production without being aware of the data capacity is increasing. Rather, content production often contains unnecessary features and effects for personal use. In this research, we will examine the feasibility of a practical system by carefully selecting the functions required for general use without excessive modification of effects. A floppy disk is used as the recording medium to limit the data size of the system.

This article is discusses the works of the graphic designer Alex Steinweiss (1917 – 2011), who was involved in music industry of the United States. The author examines the causes and effects of the emergence of a new trend in graphic design, associated with the design of music album covers, as well as analyzed some of the covers invented by Steinweiss in the 1940s. A brief overview is given to the evolution of sound recording media and their packaging. The subject of this research is the art of Alex Steinweiss, while the object is the envelopes for LP vinyl records, invented by the designer during his work for the Columbia Record Label (1930s – 1940s). The relevance of this article is substantiate by the new wave of interest in vinyl records, and thus graphic design in the context of music industry, as well as by the demand to prepare specialists for working in modern music industry. The novelty lies in examination of causal link of the emergence of new trend graphic design on inventing music album covers. The conducted research indicates the influence of a number of socioeconomic factors and activity of Alex Steinweiss upon the emergence of a new trend in graphic design. The author concludes on the relevance of studying the creative path of Alex Steinweiss for the students and representatives of art professions.
