Abstract The research dealt with the analysis of environmental changes in the types of land cover and land uses within the Muqdadiyah district center in Diyala governorate and revealed between 1995 and 2019 in order to determine the environmental deterioration of the land cover and land uses and the resulting environmental changes. For the American satellite (Landsat). It turned out that there were changes during the research period, as the amount of change in the area of agricultural land amounted to (-91,16) km2, and the area of pastures decreased as the amount of change reached (-39.89) km2, while the amount of change in the area of urbanization was (44, 38) km2, while the change amount was recorded (100,19) km2 for barren lands, which means a decrease in the area of agricultural and pasture lands in favor of built-up lands and barren lands, which negatively affected the biodiversity within the study area.

Berehove is the district center in the Transcarpathian region. The town is located within the Transcarpathian lowland, in the valley of the Tysa river. Its area occupies of 19 square kilometres where about 24 thousand population lives. At the beginning of the XX century, bryophytes of the Transcarpathians studied Polish, Hungarian and Czech botanists. After the Second World War, these studies continued Ukrainian researchers, namely M.P. Slobodyan, S.V.  Melnyk and others. In general, 27 species of bryophytes were known to our research. In 2018 and 2020, a modern bryofloristic study of Berehove was carried out. The botanical reserve «Ardov» was examined, as well as some parks and street plantations, where more than 80 packets of mosses were collected. As a result of the generalization of own and literary data in the town of Berehove and its surroundings, 71 species of bryophytes have been established, of which 5 species liverworts and 66 ones of mosses. Leading places in the spectrum of moss families occupy Brachytheciaceae, Pottiaceae and Orthotrichaceae. The richness of bryophyte species is observed mainly on natural and artificial rocky substrates, trunks of trees, after that – on the ground. In the botanical reserve «Ardov», a number of mosses are growing, which are not detected within the built-up part of Berehove. In this town, apart from widespread mosses, some rare in Ukraine species, namely Syntrichia latifolia, Dicranoweisia cirrata, Rhynchostegium megapolitanum are known.

The purpose of the administrative and territorial reform in Ukraine is, first of all, to give broad powers to communities for their development, as well as to balance the quantitative parameters of administrative and territorial units of different sections. In the process of implementing the reform, the status and functions of most settlements are also changing, which will affect their social and economic development and change inter-settlement ties. The article analyzes the quantitative parameters of the modern administrative and territorial system in Ukraine. It is noted that it was not possible to eliminate significant disparities in the size and population of the newly created districts and territorial communities. It is also noted that the agglomeration will take place around district centers, other urban settlements, less often - around large villages. It is emphasized that only the villages that will become community centers have prospects for further preservation of their functional significance in the settlement system. In general, 47 cities and almost 440 settlements will not become community centers. There are also cases of classifying urban settlements as rural territorial communities. 354 urban settlements, which had the status of district centers before the reform, now have the status of centers of territorial communities. As a result, the powers of such cities extend to a much smaller number of settlements, and their functional significance will decrease. Service functions and a role in the resettlement system will also be lost to settlements that do not become community centers but are attached to urban ones. The article substantiates that the reform of the district level of administrative structure involves a change in the direction and intensity of inter-settlement ties. In conditions of prolonged social and economic stagnation, demographic crisis and unsatisfactory transport connections, this may lead to a deepening of polarization in the settlement system and an increase in peripheral areas. Some medium-sized cities that had the status of cities of regional significance (among them – Novovolyns’k, Horishni Plavni, Enerhodar, Smila, Irpin’) will not be district centers, because the limiting factors for granting them the status of district center are the asymmetric position or mono-function structure of the economy. For most small towns that have lost the authority of the district center, there is the alarming possibility of losing the status of the city. At the same time, in sparsely populated Polissya, steppe or mountainous areas, such small urban settlements will become the centers of enlarged districts, so their functional significance will increase. The condition for the effective performance of the cities-centers of their functions is the development of industrial and social infrastructure, transport connections with remote settlements. According to the results of the study, positive and negative aspects of the impact of the administrative and territorial reform and changes in the status and functional significance of settlements have been identified. Further research on this issue will include a detailed analysis of the functioning of territorial communities and new districts in the context of the impact on the settlement development. Key words: decentralization, territorial community, resettlement, administrative and territorial reform, functions of settlements.

To evaluate the associations of impaction patterns of mandibular third molars (M3Ms) with pathologies caused by them. In this study, 262 patients with 432 impacted M3Ms who referred in Shanghai Xuhui District Center were reviewed. The pathologies include pericoronitis, mandibular second molar (M2M) caries, and M2M distal periodontal pathology. The impaction patterns of M3Ms and the pathologies were examined, while the M2M outcomes after surgeries were evaluated. A χ2 test was used to analyze the data, with a p value of <0.05 being considered statistically significant. Pericoronitis was the major symptom in all patients, whereas the propensities of M2M distal caries and periodontal pathologies increased in older patients. Soft tissue impacted and vertically angulated teeth were more associated with pericoronitis ( p < 0.05); mesio-angular impacted teeth in less deep positions had greater risks of M2Ms distal caries ( p < 0.05); mesio-angular and horizontal impacted teeth in relative deep positions were more likely to cause M2Ms distal periodontal pathologies ( p < 0.05). Extractions of soft tissue impacted teeth in vertical angulations should be considered, while removals of mesially and horizontally angulated or bony impacted teeth could be delayed.

Heart fibroma accounts for about 5% of all primary neoplasms and is registered in children in 80% of cases. The ventricles or interventricular septum (IVS) are most often affected; in half of cases, the tumor has intracavitary growth. The clinical picture of the disease and its prognosis depend on the size and location of the tumor. The most unfavorable is the defeat of the IVS, since it causes obstruction of the output tract of one of the ventricles. Being localized in IVS, can involve a conducting system of heart, thereby increasing risk of sudden death.A retrospective study of a case of cardiac fibroma in a child aged 4.5 months, confirmed by echocardiography, magnetic resonance imaging and successfully operated on in the Central Federal District Center of Penza, is presented. A large tumor, localized in the IVS, caused atypical obstruction of the outflow tracts of both ventricles simultaneously. In the domestic and foreign literature, hemodynamic disturbances of only one of the ventricles are described, and we did not find a single case with simultaneous obstruction of both tracts. The possibility of MRI in the diagnosis of heart tumors has been shown.
