When considering the interaction between the impeller and diffuser, it is necessary to provide logical and systematic guidance for their matching optimization. In this study, the goal was to develop a comprehensive matching optimization strategy to optimize the impeller and diffuser of a mixed flow pump. Some useful tools and methods, such as the inverse design method, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), design of experiment, surrogate model, and optimization algorithm, were used. The matching optimization process was divided into two steps. In the first step, only the impeller was optimized. Thereafter, CFD analysis was performed on the optimized impeller to get the circulation and flow field distribution at the outlet of the impeller. In the second step of optimization, the flow field and circulation distribution at the inlet of the diffuser were set to be the same as the optimized impeller outlet. The results show that the matching optimization strategy proposed in this study is effective and can overcome the shortcomings of single-component optimization, thereby further improving the overall optimization effect. Compared with the baseline model, the pump efficiency of the optimized model at 1.2Qdes, 1.0Qdes, and 0.8Qdes is increased by 6.47%, 3.68%, and 0.82%, respectively.

The contentious discourse around world literature tends to stress the ‘world’ in the phrase. This volume, in contrast, asks what it means to approach world literature by inflecting the question of the literary. Debates for, against, and around ‘world literature’ have brought renewed attention to the worldly aspects of the literary enterprise. Literature is studied with regard to its sociopolitical and cultural references, contexts and conditions of production, circulation, distribution, and translation. But what becomes of the literary when one speaks of world literature? Responding to Derek Attridge’s theory of how literature ‘works’, the contributions in this volume explore in diverse ways and with attention to a variety of literary practices what it might mean to speak of ‘the work of world literature’. The volume shows how attention to literariness complicates the ethical and political conundrums at the centre of debates about world literature.

The permanent construction of a capitalist environment during the historical time in Recife, Pernambuco: tendency to homogenize the dominant interests A B S T R A C TDuring the 520 years of capitalism in Brazil,a favorable environment was installed, consolidated and expanded, above all, for carrying out the production-circulation-distribution-consumption capitalist relationships. The main goal of this paper is to discuss the permanent process of this environment construction in Recife, capital of Pernambuco federal state, as a homogenizing trend linked to the domintant classes’ insterests. The methodology used for the operationalization of this discussion was based on the historical-dialectical materialism approach in order to highlight the contradictions that raise social tensions and conflicts inherent to a dynamic reality that moves permanently in some sense, in the time and spatial levels. Thus, it was shown that the implantation of the referred environment did not happen in a harmonious and peaceful way, as the Brazilian dominant classes say, insofar as social protests and mobilizations occurred, which, reacting against the purely capitalist environment, managed to obtain interesting achievements for the subordinated and oppressed classes. Keywords: Technical-instrumental rationality. Neoliberalism. Urban environment. Environmental racionality.

Background: The heart acting analysis leads to necessity of total energy quantization needful for its life from the cellular metabolism (Keith Flack node). This energy is mainly distributed to make possible the cardiac muscle acting (Electrocardiogram) and to circulate the blood in aorta to be ultimately poured out the small circulation in upstream of general circulation, distribution obeying Lusamba diagram. A model has been elaborated to choose a thermodynamic system (KUNYIMA Chart) on which the needful energy of blood flow has been assessed. It stays to quantify the vital energy for the electrification of cardiac muscle (ECG) in order to have a definitive idea on total energy from Keith Flack node. Each heart failure demands energetic knowledge of Keith Flack node and the energetic repartition of ventricles shrinkages. Aim and Objective: Presentation master program in cardiochemistry (new discipline) and Lusamba diagram to scientific world. Methodology: Observation, documentary research and calculations have been used. Results: Physico-chemical and thermoexergetic grounds of heart acting have been published elsewhere and allowed thus to conceive this program. Conclusion: Physical Cardiochemistry (PCC) is therefore a set of physico-chemical and thermoexergetic grounds of heart acting. It backs up the bio-medical sciences and helps in one sense to the comprehension of certain energetic phenomena occurring in the cardiac system. Therefore, this large knowledge will help physicians to efficient prescriptions for an effective energetic and appropriate supplying. It is supposed evidently that future cardiac healing will essentially be energetic.

In spite of radical advances in nanobiotechnology, the clinical translation of nanoparticle (NP)-based agents is still a major challenge due to various physiological factors that influence their interactions with biological systems. Recent decade witnessed meticulous investigation on protein corona (PC) that is the first surrounds NPs once administered into the body. Formation of PC around NP surface exhibits resilient effects on their circulation, distribution, therapeutic activity, toxicity and other factors. Although enormous literature is available on the role of PC in altering pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of NPs, understanding on its analytical characterization methods still remains shallow. Therefore, the current review summarizes the impact of PC on biological fate of NPs and stressing on analytical methods employed for studying the NP-PC.

In the paper hereby, steady flow around a thin-walled wing is analysed by means of the Lifting Surface Method. In order to carry out tests, the wing has been divided into a finite number of quadrilateral panels. All panel edges in turn are replaced by discrete straight vortex segments which induce velocities within the flow field. The problem boils down to working out velocity circulation distribution on the wing surface. For this purpose, numerical realization has been developed in C by Minimalist GNU for Windows compiler and Code::Blocks IDE. To work out a solution to the linear non-homogeneous algebraic system, the Gauss – Seidel stationary iterative method has been applied. The obtained results for various angle of attack values are depicted by means of ParaView.

Abstract The lifting surface model is widely used in screw propeller design and analysis applications. It serves as a reliable tool for determination of the propeller blade mean line and pitch distribution. The main idea of this application was to determine the blade shape that would satisfy the kinematic boundary condition on its surface with the prescribed bound circulation distribution over it. In this paper a simplified lifting surface method is presented – in which the 3D task for the entire blade is replaced by a set of 2D tasks for subsequent blade section profiles.

In this paper, a vector form of the unsteady Kutta-Joukowski theorem is derived and then used in the formulation of a general Lifting-Line Model capable of analysing a wide range of engineering problems of interest. The model is applicable to investigating lifting surfaces having low to moderate sweep, dihedral, out-of-plane features such as winglets, in both steady-state and unsteady cases. It features corrections of the span-wise circulation distribution based on available two-dimensional aerofoil experimental data, and stable wake relaxation through fictitious time marching. Potential applications include the conceptual and initial design of low-speed Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, the study of flapping flight or Wind Turbine blade design and analysis. Several verification and validation cases are presented, showing good agreement with experimental data and widely-used computational methods.
