Most traditional e-learning system fails to provide the intelligence that a learner may require during their learning process. Different learners have different learning styles but the current e-learning systems are not able to provide personalized learning. In this paper, we discuss how intelligent agents can aid learners in their learning process. Three agents have been developed namely, learner agent, information agent, and tutor agents that will be integrated into a learning management system (Moodle). Learners are provided with a personalized recommendation based on the learning styles.

AbstractDue to the rapid increase in the demand for information that supports tourists after, before, and during the trip, many tour systems are available. However, these systems are not able to successfully replace a human facilitator that is expensive to hire. The primary key qualities of a human tourist guide are his/her knowledge, communication skills, and interpretation of destination attractions. Traditional tourist facilitator systems are lacking in these qualities. The main idea of the research is to design an agent to guide tourists, provide them accurate information about visitable places, without having any bound for a specific region and it will have human-like communication skills along with the point of interest knowledge, which depends on its internal knowledge base as well as its online searching techniques.

Purpose/Thesis: The article opens new research opportunities by going beyond the concept of the information user and contributing to the development of a research paradigm based on the idea of information agency. It proposes a theoretical framework for a new way of thinking about the subject of information processes.Approach/Methods: This conceptual article is based on theoretical considerations and synthetic, critical analyses of the concept of the information user alongside other ideas underlying the approach proposed here. Results and conclusions: The article establishes a theoretical framework for thinking about the information agent. The information agent is seen as a dynamic, heterogeneous, multifaced and inseparable system gaining agency in specific situations and losing it in others.Originality/Value: The article presents the original concept of an information agent together with initial suggestions regarding how to apply it to, and make it operable in, empirical research.

Abstract Tomasello argues that humans’ sense of moral obligation emerges early in development, relies on a shared “we,” and serves as the foundation of cooperation. This perspective complements our theoretical view of the human self as information agent. The shared “we” promotes not only proximal cooperative goals but also distal ones via the construction of shared understanding – it promotes culture.

The Community Information Group (KIM), formerly known as KELOMPENCAPIR (Reader and Pirsawan Listening Group), is still needed by the community until now, other than as a Distributor or Community Information Agent. It functions as a Negative Information Filter (Hoax). This research began in September 2018 until December 2018, the research was conducted at the Communication and Information Office of Batu City. The informants of this research are the Head of Partnership and Collaboration in the Field of Communication and Information Communication Batu, and the Chairperson of KIM Batu City. The data validity checking technique used in this study is to use the Triangulation Technique. The results of this study indicate that the Implementation of Formation, Development and Management of KIM in the Village / Village in Batu City has been going well according to the duties and functions of each Implementer. Supporting Factors in Implementation are clear Legal Regulations / Umbrellas, Enthusiastic and Good Community Participation. Inhibiting Factors in Implementation are Facilities and Infrastructure, Education level, Limited Operational Cost Budget.

A neglected aspect of human selfhood is that people are information agents. That is, much human social activity involves communicating and discussing information. This occurs in the context of incompletely shared information—but also a group's store of collective knowledge and shared understanding. This article elucidates a preliminary theory of self as information agent, proposing that human evolution instilled both abilities and motivations for the various requisite functions. These basic functions include (a) seeking and acquiring information, (b) communicating one's thoughts to others, (c) circulating information through the group, (d) operating on information to improve it, such as by correcting mistakes, and (e) constructing a shared understanding of reality. Sophisticated information agents exhibit additional features, such as sometimes selectively withholding information or disseminating false information for self-serving reasons, cultivating a reputation as a credible source of information, and cooperating with others to shape the shared worldview in a way that favors one's subgroup. Meaningful information is thus more than a resource for individual action: It also provides the context, medium, and content within which the individual self interacts with its social environment.
