The 21st century brings an information revolution unprecedented in human history. The knowledge management of the data generated daily is a constant challenge for organizations and in all areas of science. Nevertheless, it is extremely relevant to the health area since it promotes the individual's well-being and health. In this sense, the quality of data, information, processes, and production of products and healthcare for the populations of the countries have increasingly become global concerns. Therefore, thinking about health only as a burden is a short-sighted thought. The new era of big data requires innovative knowledge management for global health, where quality is also guiding the new times. This chapter presents a reflection of the new times and management challenges for quality in global health and One Health.

The changes that have taken place in the work of Cuban news agencies during the digitalization of media production are analyzed. Over the past few years, they have been undergoing a process of transformation, changing their approaches to providing information and introducing new products. To study these processes, the authors resort to the digital platforms of two news agencies - Prensa Latina and Agencia Cubana de Noticias , as well as the online news portal Cubadebate . Comparative and analytical methods of research reveal the specific features of functioning of these media resources at the present moment. The authors conclude that despite the international isolation Cuba experienced for more than sixty years and relatively limited financial resources allocated for media development, the country's media market has entered a period of modernization. All the changes taking place will greatly expand the possibilities for integrating Cuban news agencies into global information processes.

One of the important areas of support and development of the state's defense capabilities is to equip the armed forces with modern armament and military equipment (AME). In recent years, due to the situation in eastern Ukraine, there has been a significant increase in the pace of development and adoption of the newest models of AME. The process of harmonizing national standards with NATO standards also contributes to this. Naturally, it causes an increase in the need for timely and high-quality testing of AME samples. Accordingly, the task of improving the efficiency of all processes that accompany the testing of defense products is urgent. The article considers the problem of practical development of information system for support of tests of AME, the purpose of which is to automate information processes in the preparation and conduct of tests, which should reduce time and labor costs at all stages of testing. Based on the previously substantiated spiral model of software product development and the concept of building an information system for test support, a step-by-step plan for the implementation of the information system is proposed. The system of requirements to the prototype of the information system with limited functionality is formulated, according to which the rating estimation of need and possibility of prioritized realization of the basic functional modules of the information system is carried out. Based on the requirement of functional connectivity of the modules, the information system composition on the next turn of the life cycle spiral model is substantiated. The step-by-step approach during creation and provisioning of databases and data registers with information are considered. As the information system develops, the transition to an incremental model of software product development is not excluded. It is expected that the automation of information processes related to the planning and conducting of tests, as well as the processing of test results and preparation of reporting documentation can positively impact the overall efficiency of the organization and conducting of tests, as well as ensure the proper quality of results.

Purpose To study the functional metagenomic profile of the microbes isolated from the lacrimal sac of patients with primary acquired nasolacrimal duct obstruction. Methods A prospective study was performed on 10 consecutive lacrimal sac samples obtained for the metagenomic analysis from patients with primary acquired nasolacrimal duct obstruction ( who underwent endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy at a tertiary care Dacryology service. The samples were collected intraoperatively soon after a full-length lacrimal sac marsupialization and immediately transported on ice to the laboratory. Following DNA extraction and library preparation, a whole shotgun metagenome sequencing was performed on the Illumina NOVASEQ 6000TM platform. The downstream processing and bioinformatics of the samples were performed using multiple software packaged in SqueezeMetaTM pipeline and functional analysis using the MG-RASTTM pipeline. Results The microbial gene mapping and protein prediction demonstrated proteins with known functions to range from 66.41% to 84.03% across the samples. The functional category distribution of Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes ortholog (level 1 data) showed metabolism to be the most commonly involved function followed by environmental information processes, genetic information processes and cellular processes. The functional subsystem profiling demonstrated genes associated with carbohydrate, protein and RNA metabolism, Amino acids and their derivatives, cofactors and prosthetic groups and factors involved in cell structure regulation and cell cycle control. Conclusion This is the first functional metagenomic profile of the lacrimal sac microbiota from patients with primary acquired nasolacrimal duct obstruction. Functional analysis has provided newer insights into the ecosystem dynamics and strategies of microbial communities inhabiting the lacrimal sac. Further Lacriome studies may provide clues for better understanding of the disease etiopathogenesis.

The purpose of the article is to identify essential approaches to understanding informology and the practice of using «informological» terminology in disciplinary research. The research methodology is based on a set of general scientific methods of generalization, systematization and forecasting. Methodology. Research methods used: analysis of the documentary flow of publications in which the subject or object is informology or related problematic aspects, the method of analogy to find common and separate in the approaches of researchers to the essence of informology, hypothetical analysis allowed to draw conclusions about scientific consensus in among Ukrainian scientists on informology as a «science of information». The scientific novelty is to identify modern approaches to understanding informology in disciplinary research, substantiate the conclusion that there is a scientific consensus in the understanding of informology as a science of information while not presenting research that would clearly outline the substantive basis of informology and justify the list of disciplines generalizing science. Conclusions. In the domestic scientific discourse, informology is considered to be a generalizing science that covers the study of all aspects related to information and information processes. There is a scientific consensus in the disciplinary community regarding this understanding. The existence of informology as a theoretical and methodological basis in the system of scientific research is characterized by the factual absence of the representation in the scientific discourse of its subject-content bases. The considered approaches, considerations, and terminological applications related to «informology» do not highlight its role as a generalizing science for disciplines that use the information approach, do not reveal conceptual interdisciplinary theories, concepts, and models proposed on its basis within the information approach and do not present the epistemological potential of informology. The article is dedicated to the 90-th anniversary of Felix S. Voroysky, Candidate of Science in Engineering, Professor, pedagogue, naval officer, retired captain II rank, and an outstanding expert in library and information automation (1931–2008). His life stages, including his service in the navy, jobs in research institutes, information organizations and libraries, participation in library consortia and their projects of corporate e-catalogs and e-libraries, as well as his pedagogical activities, are discussed. The whole spectrum of his academic interests is reflected in 272 publications with many of them still popular after the years gone and are read when training library specialists in structure and technologies of library and information processes. Felix S. Voroysky served on the organizing committees of the largest professional international forums “Crimea” and “LIBCOM” also chairing the section “Automated and corporate library systems and technologies”.

<p>Negative emotion is often associated with emotion-congruent biases in information processing. However, rather than all negative emotion being associated with biases in all information processes, certain components of emotion appear to be associated with specific biases. This project examined two examples of specific associations. First, Williams, Watts, MacLeod, & Mathews (1988, 1997) have argued that anxiety is associated with biases on tasks involving priming, and depression is associated with biases on tasks involving elaboration. Second, most models of mood-congruent bias have given purely cognitive explanations; these models suggest that biases should be more closely associated with the cognitive symptoms than the somatic symptoms of depression (Horowitz, Nelson, & Person, 1997). Evidence is reviewed that suggests this may not be the case. These issues were examined in two experiments, each of which administered a broad range of tasks to a large sample of students. The experiments examined attention and judgement, and explicit, implicit, and autobiographical memory. It was hypothesised that Williams et al.'s (1988, 1997) predictions about the task-specific effects of anxiety and depression would be confirmed, and that the somatic symptoms of depression would have a greater influence on information processing biases than the cognitive symptoms. Emotion-congruent biases were not shown on every task, but on the tasks where biases were shown, the hypotheses were broadly confirmed. Strengths, limitations, and implications of the studies are discussed. Current cognitive and neuropsychological models of emotion are used to provide a possible explanation of the results.</p>
