In the process of centrifugal dry granulation of blast furnace slag, the thickness of the liquid film at the outlet of the rotor will have a significant impact on the degree of crushing of the slag after leaving the rotor and the size of the solid particles formed. Therefore, this paper uses the VOF method to analyse the flow of molten slag inside the cup. The results have shown that the slag flow has a significant effect on the thickness of the liquid film and the linear relationship is obvious; the thickness of the liquid film decreases with the increase of the diameter of the rotary cup and the rotation speed, and the negative correlation with the diameter of the cup is more obvious; Secondly, as the depth of the cup increases, the thickness of the liquid film decreases first and then increases. The inclination angle of the cup wall has little effect on the thickness of the liquid film.

Hydrogen, as a medical gas, is a promising emerging treatment for many diseases related to inflammation and oxidative stress. Molecular hydrogen can be generated through hydrogen ion reduction by a metal, and magnesium-containing effervescent tablets constitute an attractive formulation strategy for oral delivery. In this regard, saccharide-based excipients represent an important class of potential fillers with high water solubility and sweet taste. In this study, we investigated the effect of different saccharides on the morphological and mechanical properties and the disintegration of hydrogen-generating effervescent tablets prepared by dry granulation. Mannitol was found to be superior to other investigated saccharides and promoted far more rapid hydrogen generation combined with acceptable mechanical properties. In further product optimization involving investigation of lubricant effects, adipic acid was selected for the optimized tablet, due to regulatory considerations.

Abstract Drone brood homogenate and compositions based on it are gaining popularity as functional food products and biologically active food additives. It has antioxidant, androgenic, anabolic, sedative, antidepressant, immunotropic, cosmetic and other properties. Royal jelly and drone brood have a pronounced biological activity, as they contain a large amount of decenoic acids, sulfhydryl groups, proteins, peptides and other biologically active substances. The possibility of expanding the spectrum of biological activity determines the relevance of developing a product containing a composition of drone brood and royal jelly. A significant superiority of the safety of biologically active substances in adsorbed drone brood and royal jelly in comparison with lyophilized ones was shown, which indicates the preferred method of stabilizing the combined product. The purpose of the work was to compare two technological methods for preparing a combined product. The first method consisted in the joint adsorption of royal jelly and drone brood, and the second - in separate adsorption and drying, followed by joint dry granulation of the components. It is shown that the differences in the physicochemical characteristics of products obtained by different methods are insignificant. The composition has intermediate values of physicochemical indicators between drone brood and royal jelly.

In this paper, the atomization characteristics of Si3N4 ceramic dry granulation affect the performance of Si3N4 ceramic bearing balls. In order to improve the dry granulation characteristics and the comprehensive performance of Si3N4 ceramic bearing balls, the atomization mechanism of the spinning nozzle used for Si3N4 dry granulation was studied in detail. The interaction between air and binder in the pressure-swirl nozzle is analyzed based on VOF method, the modified realizable [Formula: see text] turbulence model is used to simulate the flow field inside and outside the pressure-swirl nozzle, the effects of nozzle inlet parameters including the number of tangential inlets and the deflection angle of tangential inlets on the binder volume fraction, velocity distribution and pressure distribution are analyzed. The results show that when the number of tangential inlets increases from 1 to 4, the swirl strength of gas–liquid two-phase in the nozzle increases, the mean diameter of air core increases from 1.51[Formula: see text]mm to 2.01[Formula: see text]mm, and the spray cone angle increases from 18.5[Formula: see text] to 26.4[Formula: see text]. Besides, when the deflection angle of tangential inlet increases from 0[Formula: see text] to 15[Formula: see text], the swirl strength of gas–liquid two-phase in the nozzle with the deflection angle of tangential inlet of 10[Formula: see text] is the largest, and the mean diameter of air core and spray cone angle is 3.04[Formula: see text]mm and 30.7[Formula: see text], respectively. Based on the atomization experiment platform of the electric control fuel system, the mean diameter of air core and spray cone angle are measured, the micromorphology of Si3N4 particles is observed, which verifies the correctness of numerical simulation. When the Si3N4 particles are prepared by dry granulation, taking the atomization performance of nozzle into consideration, the pressure-swirl nozzle with 4 tangential inlets and 10[Formula: see text] deflection angle should be selected.

In order to predict the atomization characteristics of the atomization process of zirconia dry granulation accurately, the influence of nozzle outlet diameter on the atomization characteristics of the atomization process of zirconia dry granulation is analyzed. The VOF method and RNG k-ε turbulence model are applied to numerically analyze the flow field of pressure-swirl nozzles with different outlet diameters of the atomization process of zirconia dry granulation, and the effects of outlet diameters on the spray cone angle, liquid film thickness, pressure distribution and velocity distribution are analyzed. The result shows that when the outlet diameter is increased from 3 to 4 mm, the diameter of air core and the outlet velocity of atomized liquid are increased, the spray cone angle is increased from 30.5° to 59.7° while the liquid film thickness is decreased, but when the outlet diameter is increased to 5 mm, the diameter of air core and the outlet velocity of atomized liquid are decreased, the spray cone angle is decreased to 27.6°, while the thickness of liquid film is decreased. The spray cone angle, moisture content of zirconia particles corresponding to nozzles with different outlet diameters are measured by the design of atomization experiment platform and the microstructure of zirconia particles are observed, which verifies the correctness of numerical analysis. Taking the atomization performance of nozzle into consideration, the pressure-swirl nozzle with the outlet diameter of 4 mm is better suitable for the atomization process of zirconia dry granulation.

Pharmaceutical tablets are robust, flat, or biconvex dishes, according to the Indian Pharmacopoeia. Depending on a range of medicinal substances, they vary in shape and differ greatly in size and weight. In the era of increasing health awareness and strict standards set by regulatory authorities such as the US FDA, WHO, and globalization, it has become mandatory for the producer to launch a product cost-effectively. In the tablet dosage form, two classes of drugs are administered orally. Narrow extensions of the parietal peritoneum that suspend the diaphragm's liver are the right and left coronary ligaments. To produce an effective and reliable product, the drug must have a fine particle size and a large surface area. The tablet coating takes place inside a perforated rotating drum in a controlled atmosphere. Tablets are lifted and turned into the center of the drum from the sides. To make the tablet surface easier to swallow, every tablet surface is exposed to an even amount of deposited/sprayed coating. The purpose of the present investigation is to formulate a tablet of Metadoxine, which improves cognitive impairment and the main psychological symptoms due to occasional or prolonged alcohol abuse, such as aggressiveness, agitation, mood, and behavioral disturbances. The tablets were prepared using direct compression, dry granulation, and wet granulation method and a comparison of the same with an innovator’s product. Tingginya kandungan protein pada kedelai berbanding lurus dengan kadar senyawa flavonoid. Formulasi pembuatan tablet dari bubuk kedelai hitam Detam II sulit ditentukan karena kandungannya yang membuat sulit untuk mendapatkan kekerasan tablet yang optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan formulasi tablet kedelai hitam varietas detam II. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari sampai Oktober 2020 di Laboratorium Teknologi Farmasi STIKes Mitra Keluarga. Pembuatan tablet kedelai hitam (Glycine max L.) varietas detam II dengan metode slugging. Tablet kedelai hitam Detam II (Glycine max L.) dibuat menjadi 5 formula dengan kandungan 250 mg bubuk kedelai hitam (Glycine max L.) varietas detam II pada setiap formula. Variabel yang membedakan adalah senyawa eksipien tablet pada masing-masing formula yaitu PVP K30, gelatin, dan amilum maydis sebagai bahan pengisi-pengikat. Kami menggunakan tipe eksperimen trial and error untuk membuat setiap formula. Evaluasi granul tablet kedelai hitam (Glycine max L.) varietas detam II dengan pengujian kadar air, kompresibilitas, waktu alir, sudut istirahat dan evaluasi tablet dengan pengujian organoleptik, berat, kekerasan, kerapuhan dan waktu hancur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa formula 3, 4 dan 5 merupakan formulasi yang direkomendasikan untuk pembuatan tablet kedelai hitam (Glycine max L.) varietas detam II meskipun semua formula ( F1-F5) berada di bawah persyaratan nilai kerapuhan karena beberapa faktor. . Eksipien gelatin dan PVP K30 untuk pembuatan tablet kedelai hitam (Glycine max L.) varietas detam II merupakan pilihan terbaik sebagai pengisi-pengikat tablet.

There are several problems for the school children to take the pure milk especially the goat milk every day because of the unpleasant taste and smell of the goat milk are not so good. Besides, the pure milk has a short life time. It is difficult to store the goat milk in a long period of time at room temperature. The solution for this problem is change the goat milk from liquid form into the chewable milk tablet that can be easily consume by the school children. Goat milk in the form of tablet formulation will increase the shelf life of the product. Therefore, the chewable goat milk tablet can be stored in a long period of time, convenience, and suitable for distribution to remote areas. In this project, the focusing was more into the optimization of the weight adjustment of the tableting machine before and after the dry granulation to form good chewable tablet. The pre-evaluation had been done for the goat milk powder and granule after dry granulation process. It can be concluded that goat milk tablet can be an alternative to the pure goat milk. The poorly flowing properties of goat milk powder can be improved by using dry granulation techniques. Based on this study, F4D shows the best setting to produce the goat milk tablet using dry granulation technique. F4D successfully improved the flow ability and compressibility of goat milk tablet. It also produce the best goat milk tablet as it possess uniformity of weight, low friability and good hardness
