Objectives: To analyze impact of alternative routes and timing of dopamine and mannitol administrations to reduce negative properties of extended cardiopulmonary bypass on renal function in coronary artery operations. Methods: Set I (n: 26 individual): Mannitol (1 g/kg) has been introduced to the CPB priming solution. Set II (n: 25 patients): Even during interval among anesthetic induction and operation, 3 g/kg/min of IV dopamine was delivered. Group III (n = 25 patients): 2 g/kg/min IV dopamine was provided among anesthesia initiation and operation conclusion, and 1 g/kg mannitol were added to priming solution for CPB. Furosemide was administered to Group IV (n = 26 cases) when urine production was poor. Results: There would be a substantial rise in the post-operative urine microalbumin/creatinine ratios over all classes (p 0.06), as well as a rise in cystatin-c in Set 1, 2, and 3 (p 0.02). Conclusions: Researchers suggest that combining dopamine infusion (1 g/kg/min) and mannitol (2 g/kg) throughout CPB seems to be the more actual method for preventing detrimental possessions of CPB on renal functioning.

In the manufacturing industry, the most widely used equipment is equipment that uses electricity. Electricity cost is one of the highest operational production costs after labor cost. So, it is very important to save and optimize the use of electrical equipment. One of the manufacturing industries is Taru Martani, Ltd. This research aims to minimize the energy cost by proposing three hybrid algorithms, namely Palmer-NEH, Gupta-NEH, and Dannenbring-NEH methods. Some scheduling evaluation is done using the Efficiency Index (EI) and Relative Error (RE) parameters. It is concluded that the Palmer-NEH and Gupta-NEH methods are the best methods with the lowest energy cost compared with company's actual method and the Dannenbring-NEH method. Based on the Palmer-NEH and Gupta-NEH methods, both methods can save the makespan up to 399.13 minutes or 6.65 hours compared with the company's actual method. With these methods, the company is also able to save the production cost by Rp. 818,043.00.

Patient Bed Assignment (PBA) consists of assigning patients to hospital beds according to specific requirements such as patient diagnosis, equipment requirements, age and gender policies, among others. We worked in conjunction with the Hospital Universitario San Ignacio (HUSI) with the goal of designing an application to support decision-making during the bed assignment process. We introduced a mathematical model for the PBA. We used Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to determine the weights attributed to each part of the objective function. Due to the long execution time required, we used a Greedy Algorithm and Tabu Search (TS) to optimize the match between the patient’s requirements and the characteristics of the assigned bed. To test the algorithms, we created 15 test instances of various sizes. The results showed that the gap between the value of the objective function resulting from using the Greedy/TS in comparison with the optimal solution is on average 6.2%. Also, the TS takes 84% less time than the MILP for medium and large instances. We collected data from real life instances and compared the actual method with the designed metaheuristic. On average, the value of the objective function resulting from using the proposed Greedy/Tabu algorithm is 8.6% higher.

This article tells the archival story of how Rawls invented a hypothetical Muslim state that he called “Kazanistan.” It examines drafts of The Law of Peoples from 1992 to 1998, Rawls's notes, his personal correspondence, and the sources preserved in his archives. I track Rawls's gradual interest in Islam, which resulted in his invention of Kazanistan during the final revisions, in March 1998. Contrary to the aesthetics of rigor and simplicity in ideal theory's methods, Rawls's actual method in his incursion into “comparative philosophy” and Islam was circuitous and contingent. And contrary to ideal theory's self-presentation as emerging from an ahistorical conceptual realm, the idealized abstraction of Islam emerges from Rawls's own history, or from an ideologically limited set of texts, conversations, and political debates about Islam. The genealogy of Kazanistan illustrates how liberal philosophy extracts data from other disciplines to construct other peoples, without regard for the surrounding disciplinary politics.

Background and Purpose: Bark thickness and its share in the volume of roundwood are the most important characteristics of the bark, particularly in the process of timber harvesting, and during scaling of processed logs. Therefore it is very important to have at disposal relatively accurate data regarding these characteristics of bark for particular tree species. The main goal of this paper is to investigate the thickness of the bark and its share in the volume of roundwood of Norway spruce. Materials and Methods: The research was carried out in the area of the Canton 10 of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and it encompassed 393 trees of Norway spruce from 10 cm to 115 cm of thickness at breast height. Measuring of the mean diameter and double thickness of bark was conducted by section method. In total, 4,647 diameters and bark thicknesses were measured in different relative lengths of stems or in average 10.6 measurements per one stem. Results: As an optimal model for the evaluation of double thickness of the bark of Norway spruce depending on mean diameter of roundwood the function with designated determination coefficient of 0.7142 was selected. The obtained results have confirmed the previously defined relations of investigate characteristics, which are as following: a) with the increase of mean diameter of roundwood (section) double bark thickness is increased from 9.26 mm (thickness class 12.5 cm) to 31.65 mm (thickness class 92.5 cm); b) with the increase of mean diameter of roundwood the share of bark in its volume decreased from 14.26% (thickness class 12.5 cm) to 6.73% (thickness class 92.5 cm). Conclusions: By the actual method of estimating bark thickness or the share of bark in the volume of roundwood of Norway spruce in the forestry of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina a significant error was created which increases with the increase of mean diameter. The obtained results point to the necessity of investigation of these bark characteristics in Bosnia and Herzegovina and represent an inevitable starting point for making adequate tables of bark thickness and its percentage share in the volume of roundwood of Norway spruce.

Strategi dari perusahaan itu sendiri bermacam-macam, dapat berupa peningkatan kualitas, ketepatan waktu penyelesaian suatu pekerjaan dan lain sebagainya. UD. Wira Vulkanisir merupakan suatu perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang vulkanisir ban, dengan jenis sistem produksi yang diterapkan yaitu MTO (Make To Order) dimana perusahaan ini sering mengalami keterlambatan dalam pengirim kepada konsumen, yang tentunya berdampak terhadap performa perusahaan itu sendiri. Penjadwalan dengan menggunakan metode CDS pada bulan maret 2019 mengahsilkan urutan job 9-8-7-6-3-4-2-5-1 dengan makespan sebesar 284,49 jam dimana metode ini lebih optimal dibandingkan dengan metode aktual perusahaan dengan selisih makespan sebesar 17,29 jam.Dari hasil penjadwalan menggunakan metode CDS dapat mempercepat proses produksi sebesar 5,6% di bandingkan penjadwalan perusahaan saat ini. Oleh karena ini itu, penajdwalan menggunakan metode CDS dapat di pertimbangkan oleh perusahaan untuk di terapkan di lantai produksi. Therefore, to meet customer demand and satisfaction, a scheduling system that is properly planned, effective and efficient is needed. UD. Wira Vulkanisir is a company engaged in tire retreading, with the type of production system being applied, namely MTO (Make To Order) where the company often experiences delays in the sender to consumers, which of course has an impact on the performance of the company itself. Scheduling using the CDS method in March 2019 produces a sequence of jobs 9-8-7-6-3-4-2-5-1 with makespan of 284.49 hours where this method is more optimal than the actual method of the company with a difference of makespan of 17.29 hours. From the results of scheduling using the CDS method it can speed up the production process by 5.6% compared to the current company scheduling. Because of this, the prediction of using the CDS method can be considered by the company to be applied on the production floor.


Now a days, Iris recognition is wieldy used for the identification of person. Mit der Übernahme sicherheitskritischer Funktionen durch technische Systeme, wie zum Beispiel Fahrerassistenzsysteme, werden Methoden zur Funktionsabsicherung immer wichtiger. Eine diese Methoden ist der Key Characteristics Flowdown, der eine Visualisierung und Analyse der Schlüsselmerkmale sowie deren Zusammenhänge ermöglicht. Um die Nutzung der Methode systematischer zu gestalten sowie den Zeitaufwand zu reduzieren, wird in dem Beitrag eine Modularisierung der Merkmale für Betriebsmittel in der Montage vorgestellt.   With the execution of safety-critical functions by technical systems, e.g. driver assistance systems, methods for safeguarding are becoming increasingly important. One of these methods is the Key Characteristics Flowdown, which enables a visualization and analysis of key characteristics and their interrelations. In order to enable a more systematic use of the method and to reduce the required time, the article presents a modularization of the features for assembly equipment.

The company produces PVC pipes in Medan city is experiencing problems in the form of a higher number of requests compared to the production number. This is because the company does not have a good production plan which is the results in not meeting consumer demand. For this reason, a good and integrated production planning is needed by using the goal programming method. Production planning carried out with goal programming aims to maximize company profits. The results shows that by using the goal programming method, the optimal production number was obtained at each type of 2-inch ECO JIS D pipe products of 42851 units, 3-inch ECO JIS D pipe products of 54445 units and 4 inches of ECO JIS D pipe products 24480 units. In addition, by using this method the company profits about Rp. 446,620,100 is greater than the actual method applied by the company.
