Knowledge of the nature of the universe is a prerequisite in afterlife accounts. It is necessary because the soul’s ultimate aim is identification with the universe, the phenomenon the author calls “psychic harmonization.” For this to happen, the soul must understand the universe. The apparent need for a vision of the universe is the key to understanding the doubling of eschatological space: within any afterlife journey must come the revelation, in which the world is glimpsed in sum. But what is this universe with which the soul must come into line? It is not a constant. Over time, as the reach of human concepts of the universe expands, human cycles are assimilated into an increasingly expansive universe. It is the need to accommodate ever-larger areas of lateral motion within a fundamental casing of circular order that causes the universe to “expand.” As we discover more areas of disorderly motion, the outer skin of order just gets bigger, reducing the significance of the original areas of disorder. Congruently, the soul’s arena of activity expands alongside the model of the universe. This chapter shows both how the cycles of the universe function and how the universe expands between Homer and Dante (and beyond).

Leibniz called the first article “New method max- imums and minimums”. Instead of considering the realisation of the method for maximums and minimums, it should have been considered from symbolic side as the Universal characteristic. The extremums as symbols of universal language covers all infinity of the certain subjects sense of which it is. Creation of a block matrix (by means of the left tensor square) allowed to reveal macrolevel and circular arrangement of charts. And in philosophy of a science there is no other way to follow the Nature except to follow to genetics. The logic reduction of a non-classical multi-valuedness to classical binarity of the designated and anti-designated values forms overlaps from right to left and from left to right, forming a hysteresis loop arranging the circular order. The complementarity of levels generates fractality of the main table structure.

This study were preformed for two purposes. The first is to develop a Korean vocational interest inventory based on Holland theory(short version) and second is to investigate of Holland's hypotheses(circular order and circumplex). With a sample of 149 high school students(male 58, female 91) and 224 college students(male 132, female 92), the main results were as follows. First, the scale which developed as 72 items in this study has shown acceptable reliabilities and construct validities, that is, this short form interest inventory could be used to verify student's vocational interest in conjunction with existing inventories. Second, the radnomization test using RANDALL(Tracey, 1997) has shown that the circular order hypothesis were supported. Third, in the results of confirmatory factor analysis, the modle that Holland's circumplex hypothesis was not adapted, has had better fit(TLI, RMSEA) than the model which Holland's circumplex hypothesis was adapted. Forth, the results of MDS showed the RIASEC interest types could be explained well through Sociaility and Confirmity of Hogan(1983). In summary, Holland's circular order hypothesis was supported but the circumplex hypothesis was not supported to Korean student's data. Finally, the implications and limitations were discussed.

The representation of the surrounding world plays an important role in robot navigation, especially when reinforcement learning is applied. This work uses a qualitative abstraction mechanism to create a representation of space consisting of the circular order of detected landmarks and the relative position of walls towards the agent's moving direction. The use of this representation does not only empower the agent to learn a certain goal-directed navigation strategy faster compared to metrical representations, but also facilitates reusing structural knowledge of the world at different locations within the same environment. Acquired policies are also applicable in scenarios with different metrics and corridor angles. Furthermore, gained structural knowledge can be separated, leading to a generally sensible navigation behavior that can be transferred to environments lacking landmark information and/or totally unknown environments.

AbstractGeneric automorphisms of certain homogeneous structures are considered, for instance, the rationals as an ordered set, the countable universal homogeneous partial order, and the random graph. Two of these cases were discussed in [7], where it was shown that there is a generic automorphism of the second in the sense introduced in [10], In this paper, I study various possible definitions of ‘generic’ and ‘mutually generic’, and discuss the existence of mutually generic automorphisms in some cases. In addition, generics in the automorphism group of the rational circular order are considered.

A map is a graph equipped with a circular order of edges around each vertex. These circular orders represent local planar embeddings. The genus of a map is the minimal genus of an orientable surface in which it can be embedded. The maps of genus at most $g$ are characterized by finitely many forbidden maps, relatively to an appropriate ordering related to the minor ordering of graphs. This yields a "noninformative" characterization of these maps, that is expressible in monadic second-order logic. We give another one, which is more informative in the sense that it specifies the relevant surface embedding, in addition to stating its existence.
